Catch-A-Critter, Inc.

I hired Catch a Critter to trap a raccoon that was found to be living in the attic of a rental property that we own. They sent someone out promptly to set a trap but that was the end of our positive interaction with this company. Over the next 5 weeks the company was completely unaccounted for. They did not come back to check the trap as they said they would and would not call me back when I left messages requesting them to check the trap and/or give me an update on their progress. For weeks I was given the run-a-round. For two weeks straight I called once per day with no returned call. During this time our renter would check with us to see what we were doing about the raccoon that she could hear scratching all day and night. Unfortunately, I had little to tell her except that I had left yet another message with no response. We ended up losing our renter over this as she could not stand the scratching and what she interpreted as our lack of a reasonable and timely resolution. I blame catch a critter for not at least giving me a reasonable update to pass along to her and because of them we have lost hundreds in rent. At one point we thought the raccoon may no longer be in the house and the catch a critter company offered to fix the hole free of charge to make up for their poor service thus far. Unfortunately, I agreed and the work they did was horrific. They patched the hole with a piece of sheet metal that did not fully cover the hole, left scraps of metal all over the yard, and now I have to hire another company to come and re-due their work.I complained once again and this time they told me they would refund our money seeing that I had lost a renter, still had a raccoon in the house, and had to re-repair the roof. As is their way of operating, its two months later we have still not received a refund. Every time I call they have some new excuse as to why it has not yet been mailed and promise it will arrive by mail in a couple days. It never comes.
