I have had the unfortunate fate of dealing a lot with Cathedral Plumbing . They are the plumbers who did my new house and also respond to warranty calls . We first had leak in a faucet , it was replaced but the handles were not installed , I could not do it myself since it uses a special screw . I have had to deal with them on another occasion , this time it was not their fault ,the tech they sent was good . The other issue I had with them is my water meter box is not installed correctly . it does not sit flush in the grooves of the pipe like it needs to . The guy who responded to that ticket said , it passed all inspections and it looks fine since there is no leak he would not touch it . I did not argue with him , because he was making a baseless point , It clearly is not installed properly he agrees to it but still won't fix it . very unprofessional .

I will NOT suggest using Cathedral Plumbing if your builder is going to use them (put it in purchase agreement not to use them) for your new house OR if you want to use them for a major project. Following are the reasons for my suggestions:

â?¢ The plumbing for the new house was done by cathedral plumbing where hot water tap in the kitchen takes a minimum of 3 minutes to feel warm, around 5 minutes to get hot water.
â?¢ They claim to have built plumbing for hundreds of homes and if their plumbing design has a basic flaw where every year house has to waste thousands of gallons to get hot water in the tap, should you trust them with big projects?
â?¢ Based on their design flaws it looks like they don't improvise their designs to meet the basic requirement of the client.
â?¢ I was told that your house is big hence you will face this problem! (will they take the same excuse for their own house?) A good plumbing company knows how to mitigate these issues when designing a plumbing system. A knowledgeable company will use a recirculating pump to ensure hot water comes quickly in all taps.
â?¢ To save the cost of $350 worth recirculating pump, we have to waste thousands of gallons of water. This does not meet the EPA WaterSense standards for homes where its basic requirement is Efficient plumbing distribution systems get hot water to the tap faster, so you waste less time, water, and energy. https://www.epa.gov/watersense/watersense-labeled-homes
â?¢ I was told initially that they don't install a recirculating pump for warranty but can pay $1500 to install it!

It is sad to see that company getting thousands of dollars for new home plumbing are cutting the cost of $350 for basic hot water need of a client. This makes me wonder how they must be cutting costs for a small project where the issue comes back as soon as the warranty ends!

As a Texans, I value water and cannot tolerate wastage of water. Avoid this company that cannot offer good customer services and helps in conserving our precious resources.

Good afternoon. The plumbing in this home was installed per State and local codes. As the contracted plumber, we installed the plumbing based on the specification issued to us by the home builder. We do not design the home itself and do not have any control over how the home is laid out but rather that is done by an architect. We do install all hot water lines to be shortest possible length from the water heater to each fixture however when the water heaters are installed in an attic above the 2nd floor on the opposite side of the house it is going to take time for that hot water to travel through the pipes.
By contract, we can only install the features and selections that are provided to us by the home builder. This particular home builder does in fact have an option that the home owner could have chosen in order to have a hot water re-circulation system installed during the construction of the house. Mr. should have been discussed the option for the re-circulation system with his builder and it could have been installed all the way up to frame stage. This option was not selected therefore it was not installed. During a complimentary inspection we performed for Mr., we did offer to install an aftermarket circulation system however Mr. did not agree that he should have to pay to have one installed.

A perfect example of plumber passing the buck to Grand Homes, buyer, state code, city code, and architect. It is plumber's duty to inform the builder and buyer that warm water will take too long to come since the water heater is far far away! Based on the response it looks like this is the first house built where water heater was in the attic!!!. Grand Homes didn't offer a recirculating pump option. I would rather pay a different vendor $1500 for 3 outlets hot water than this plumber who does plumbing in such a way that they can charge more to the client to do it the right way!

The plumber's response shows why they should be avoided.

We are contracted by the builder and asked to provide a bid based on the specifications and choice of options that they provide us. We plumb the houses based on this contracted bid. The builder did not request nor did they pay for a circulating system to be installed. We empathize with the home owner however our contract is with the home builder and we install the options that we are being paid to install. All contact and communication in regards to options and upgrades is between the buyer and the builder. A circulating system is not a code requirement but rather an upgraded option that the home builder could have informed the buyer of before the construction process began or during the construction process up to the end of the frame stage. Unfortunately this appears not to have happened. Again, this is communication that should have happened between the buyer and the builder. This home is plumbed to code passed all required inspections with the City.

Excellent service and support provided by Mr. Todd from Cathedral plumbing. Many thanks ð??

Cathedral Plumbing is the most moral company I have ever worked with you can trust what they do. The owner passes his values to his employees.

I couldn't have been more pleased. From the very start when they responded quickly to my emergency water pipe break they were professional, and impressive. They were diligent and committed to resolving the issue, communicated well and often and fixed the issue which turned out to be much larger than initially expected. While no hope not to need them again, I would use them again if they very needed.

We had a problem with our garbage disposal. We contacted Cathedral Plumbing since they offered same day service which was rare. The plumber came out and checked it our and found that it was just stopped. We thought we might require a new garbage disposal but the plumber was able to clean it out and it is now working great.
We were very pleased with the service and recommendations made by the plumber Brian *** He was very personable and professional and we would definitely call on him for any other plumbing issues.

Great and fast service. Robert was friendly and professional and got our kitchen clog fixed up in just a few minutes. Highly recommend!

I called Catheral Plumbing to schedule an appointment for plumbing services for the repair of a leaking shower head. I was pleasantly surprised when the dispatcher informed me that a plumber was in the Prosper area and she would dispatch him to my location. The plumber arrived (my hero) and saved the day for me. This is the first time that I have ever called a plumbing company and was able to receive service on the same day. The plumber, Brandon Harrison was professional, personable, and provided exceptional customer service. He thoroughly explained the pricing flat rate schedule to me prior to performing the work. Based on my experience, I will use Catheral Plumbing for my future plumbing needs.

After water was falling out of our recessed lighting on Halloween, I didn't freak out but rather just called Cathedral plumbing the next morning. The leak was isolated in the tub drain so we were able to keep the house water on. I was pleased to hear they were going to send out a plumber first thing 9am Friday morning.
Brandon arrived exactly on time Friday and was super nice and professional. He went right into diagnosing the problem. He ruled out any major issues and soon found a hair ball the size of a small rat in my daughters drain. It was causing the water to get so high during showers, it was coming out of the overflow, which was not sealed properly during installation. Brandon sealed the overflow and made sure it worked before leaving. He even resealed the other overflow cover in the adjacent upstairs bathroom.
I highly recommend this company. Great customer service and workmanship.

Robert *** with Cartherdral
Plumbing was extremely professional and was able to tell me what issue I had quickly. I had a dripping facet in my bathtub and he knew right away it was a broken catheridge. He never once used terms I couldn't understand and was more then happy to walk me through what he was doing. Not only was the service excellent but the pricing was very reasonable. Thanks Catherdral Plumbing for employeeing professional and knowledge gentlemen.

Brandon with Cathedral was great! After contacting Cathedral Plumbing regarding a crack in one of our toilets Cathedral offerded to replace the toilet at no cost! Brandon was courteous, explained all of the work he was going to perform, and very professional. I highly recommend Cathedral Plumbing for anyone in the market for plumbing needs.

Quick response, right on time, knowledgeable, professional and polite plumber. Excellent service by John.

It's always a stressful time when you need to call a plumber and I have to say using Cathedral Plumbing made the experience less stressful. Lori in the office was so helpful and set up an appointment for us. Jeff our plumber came right on time and was one of the most knowledgeable, professional and polite plumber have dealt with . Jeff was persistent and got to the cause of our issues. It is nice to have a reliable plumbing company to call on if and when you need them and Cathedral Plumbing will be ours. Thanks again Jeff for your expertise and knowledge.

They were our third call to correct our plumbing issue. The prior two calls (one you see commercials on every morning on local TV) could not make their appointment times - not even close and notified at the last minute. Cathedral explained the process to us and over delivered by showing up just as promised and their tech got the work done quickly so I could get to the office. Great service every step of the way! Our new go to plumber.
