Called these guys for a quote over a year ago [redacted] came out to my house [redacted] did my measurements and had no respect for my plants or anything I had around the windowsWas getting windows measuredWhen calculating the price he came up with almost $6,000! I informed him of having my position eliminated, going back to school, and not having money to burn like I used to, but he didn’t seem to careI said I would think about it and would get back to himI really wanted to use a company that was “reputable” and was reliable as I saw that someone had windows installed down the street from Comfort WindowsWell, I got other quotes a year later as now one of the windows definitely needed to be replaced as it cracked down the middleI called Comfort Windows again to see if there were any specials and such and, again, [redacted] came outHe kept asking why I was contemplating and hadn’t signed on the dotted line yetAt this time he noticed a quote I had on the dining room table and just picked it up and asked me about itThis quote was seriously from minutes before he came backI am not some Joe Shmoe that takes everything for what it is…He asked “what is this?” and started to say that Comfort Windows has reliability and if I was looking for other quotes he could match it since I seemed “serious”He did his calculations and now quoted $4500ish for the windowsI said ok, let me pull numbers as I had to get a new furnace and AC unit as they stopped working properly recentlyHe seemed to not careHe said that if I was truly serious that I would have signed on the dotted line todayOkSo then I called him after I left to see if there were any other sort of discounts availableHe said I have given all discountsHe also stated that I could come in on a Saturday to talk with his Manager to see if there was anything else they could doWell, it took me a couple of months to be able to go on a Saturday since I’m in School full-time and had other commitmentsSo, I went today and of course I had to talk to ***When he came out he asked a little background on me to catch him up on my houseWell, he didn’t have my write up or any of my informationHe also kept asking if I had paperwork with me and the previous price match quote from earlierUm, no….Then he said that I could schedule a time for him to come back out to my house….Um, noLet’s do this now? That’s why I’m hereThen he asked if he could come to my house todayI said I guessHe then asked “were you trying to lock something in today?” Yes, [redacted] I amHe came to my house and I was in my office trying to get the previous contract and I heard him open the door to come in and if my dogs weren’t there he would have just walked in to my houseWhat gives you the right to just walk in to my house? We aren’t family nor friendsDisrespectful! He then came in after I put the dogs up and started to premeasure the windows again?! I have lights up bordering the window in my living room and he caught his measuring tape on it and didn’t fix it when it fell downSo it’s still drooping…He wore his shoes in my houseAgain, disrespectful! He also smelled like cigarettes every time he came overGross! So he was trying to give me discounted windows with less structure/sealing than other companies haveIt would only save me $overall and he said that was all he could doThen I said I would still have to think about it and he stated that this is the last time he was coming over as this was the 3rd time he was over alreadyUm, you are minutes from my houseIf you were a true and respectable person you would understand my financial situation and be patient and help me betterYou also wouldn’t lie to me nor pressure me into a sale that I wasn’t comfortable withHe then tried to suggest financing through them and I kept telling him I was in a Professional School full-time and have to apply every year for a cost of living loan that is a hard hit on my credit score and it would impact my Debt to Income ratio for Loans eligibilityHe doesn’t understand and just wanted the saleThen he had the audacity to say I know what type of person you are and you shouldn’t rely so heavily on the banks and go with your gut instinct and pretty much sign on the dotted lineWell ***, like I’ve said every time you come over here I let you know I lost my job and I worked in Banking and know a lot in reference to how Banks work and think! I didn’t sign on the dotted line and will not! Every time I have him over, my gut instinct says to “RUN!” I tried working with them to earn my business and they just don’t careI can’t believe this guy still has a job and actually gets sales! This economy sucks and I know that every business is there to make money and marks all their prices up (inflation) and that they have wiggle room to work with…..car salesman anyone! Anyways, do not do business with them! They seem like crooks and push overs!

I have done business with Comfort windows several years ago and again this year a few months backI was and am still very pleased with the service and with the workers, workmanship and timingI will definitely do business with this company againThe time frame to order the needed items for my job and the schedule to work with me on my available schedule was excellentThe clean up process was perfectI have had nor do I have any complaints Great work done Happy customer **

I feel they make things up as they go along. Never was I told that they can cancel until final measurements. Their rep made a mistake and they are doing whatever they can to get out of it. It was their mistake they should own it. Obviously they are more concerned with money then honoring their contracts when mistakes have been made. It was their fault not mine.
If this is the way they do business hopefully they wont be in business too much longer to take advantage of people's trust.
They are not someone I will ever do business with
Somehow they should be made to held accountable for their actions

I have done business with Comfort windows several years ago and again this year a few months back. I was and am still very pleased with the service and with the workers, workmanship and timing. I apologize I did not respond quicker. The customer chose to have the job move forward and we completed the majority of the work on 9/11/15, we are waiting for the customer to move a gas line so we can complete the job in full.
