I, purchased the car in June 2014 within three weeks of purchase I encountered problems with the vehicle overheating. I, took it back to the dealership several times with the promise that they would repair it. Well, after several diagnostics they told me that the problem was a hose underneath the bottom of the vehicle had a leak and that they repaired it. Well, after 4 to 5 weeks later I discovered that the truck had no heat in it. This situation started early in September with the dealership trying to resolve the matter. During, this time I have taken and left the vehicle several times with them promising to have the repairs completed but, when I returned to pick up my vehicle they would say they didn't have time or their mechanic didn't get to it to bring it back again. During, this entire time frame they didn't provide me with a loaner. They, called me finally and said that the heat was fixed, once again upon arriving to get my vehicle the heat didn't work. So, I was told once again to leave my vehicle. I, left my vehicle for another 4 to 5 days and was called again saying: the heat was definitely fixed that his repair man had flushed out the heater core. Before, this diagnostic the repairman had tried several other areas (thermostat, water pump etc.) Well, the week before thanksgiving they told me it was the water pump and to take it to a licensed dealer because their mechanic couldn't do it and that my warranty would cover it. I took it to [redacted] for them to inform me that it was neither one but, I had a significant amount of "built up corrision inside the engine". The engineer of [redacted] required that I flushed the engine with a special chemical to start and if that didn't resolve my problem to replace heater core. Well, after several confrotations and threating to call [redacted] the dealership agreed to have [redacted]o repairs, until [redacted] informed them that once they started flushing the engine "stop leak gushed out the bottom" alerting them that this was an existing problem that someone had attempted to fix. Well, the dealership at this time notified [redacted] to go no further in repairs (after flushing) because it would be cheaper for their mechanic to repair heater core. I signed a I OWE YOU with dealership on DEC. 4 promising to replace/repair heater core, and that the repairs would be done by the 10th. Also, on the 5th I had my truck released to them. After not hearing from them I contacted them on the 13th, for the salesman to tell me that he had the part and it would definitely be ready the following Thursday, still on Thursday no response. But, when I contacted him on that Saturday I was told that my vehicle was still at the [redacted] dealership and that I needed to go get my vehicle and bring it to them if I wanted it repaired. But, the representative has said the truck wasn't driveable also note that I was without any means of transportation. I asked him why did he give me misleading information the week before and he go annoyed and ill giving me the blow off. Well, again I told him that he would need to have my truck fixed or I was contacting [redacted] and pursue legal action. Well, I got a return call on that Monday saying that he had picked up my truck and the mechanic had started on it and would give me a call. Again, no return call for three days so I contacted him on Thursday for him to say that it rained on Tues., the mechanic left early on Wednesday, and hadn't made it in to work yet on thursday but should be in around noon. But, promised promised my truck would be ready before the weekend. Well, on Friday around 6 I called and was told he was finishing up and would call. I called Saturday morning (12/20) and was told to pick up truck around lunch time. When, I got my truck their was a awful strong smell of antifreeze for me to discover antifreeze all on the floor mat and the passenger side saturted with antifreeze. I, drove home appromiately 5 miles and didn't go nowhere else till Monday to discover that still no heat, but worse than that which wasn't a problem before at all. I, don't have air circulating or coming through center vents at all, with the fan speed on high. I've been with transportation for a solid month with them blowing me off. I've spoken with the finance company and they have suggested that they trade me out or refund my money but, they have refused either one. Now, with the truck progressively worse than before and the I OWE YOU contracted not fulfilled I'm at my wits end. I, have been advised by an attorney to contact your office.I, purchased the car in June 2014 within three weeks of purchase I encountered problems with the vehicle overheating. Desired SettlementSince, this notice I have contacted the dealership and was told that they would get with their mechanic to resolve this issue. But, when calling back to confirm was informed by salesman ([redacted]) that they no longer had a mechanic and will no longer do no kind of repairs at this site. The finance company also attempted to contact owner in attempt to resolve this matter last week. And was told that the owner was out of town and that the truck was fixed when I picked it up. Yet, there's still no heat, green antifreeze running back in passenger side of vehicle, and air not working in truck ( no air on passenger side, defrost , or floor vent on passenger side etc...note none of this was existing prior to their mechanic attempting to replace heater core)I've spoken with the finance company and they have suggested that they trade me out or refund my money but, they have refused either one. Now, with the truck progressively worse than before and the I OWE YOU contracted not fulfilled I'm at my wits end. I, have been advised by an attorney to contact your office.Business Response [redacted] purchased a [redacted] from cavalier auto sales and has had it for 6 months every time her payment is due with the bank she says something is wrong with the vehicle we have tried to help her numerous times she signed a as is statement when she purchased the vehicle and it had passed north Carolina inspection prior to it being offered for sale . she has sat in my parking lot and yelled the most terrible curse words you have ever heard to the point I had to ask her to leave . we are a 5 star rated dealer and try to treat everyone good she on the other hand is not treating us good . she came back today demanding her down payment money back we told her she has had the vehicle for months she told us if I would give her down payment back she would drop everything it seems like to me isn't that bordering on extortion and every time we say no she stands in my parking lot and threatens everyone with you guys among other agency at this point I am willing to let it run its course I try to please everyone and I have spent over a thousand dollars to try to do the same thing here. again she has had the vehicle for 7 months we have done nothing wrong we have broken no laws criminal or civil Consumer Response On January 7, 2015 I was contacted by [redacted], a salesman, on behalf of [redacted], the owner. Upon arriving at the lot, I had a lengthy conversation with [redacted] and after being shown several vehicles, a settlement was reached. Both parties agreed that I, will trade my previous vehicle ([redacted]) for the current vehicle in which I'm driving ([redacted]). I, was told by [redacted] to return lot today to return previous vehicle and sign paper work to transfer vehicles. Upon, returning he informed me that he wasn't prepared and that he would contact me within next 4 days. I'm waiting to finalize this transaction.

Complaint[redacted] purchased in June 2013 with a banged up bumper, missing filter in glove compartment and transmission issue.Purchased [redacted] from [redacted] at Cavalier Sales for my daughter. At the time of purchase in mid-June 2013, the bumper on the car needed to be repaired. It took a week and a half to pick up the car and one week later the bumper was starting to come off. My daughter and I have called numerous times and for the first 2 months we were told that it would be fixed but there was no one available to fix the car and I would receive a call when the repairman came back to work. We have NEVER received a call from them. I then called and spoke with [redacted], the finance manager and he PROMISED that the issue would be settled. My daughter and I have called numerous times over the past 6 months and we are either put off, sarcastically dealt with or told that we will be called back and we are never called back. We are paying $12,000 for this car and finding that there are several issues that should have been addressed before this car was sold. We were given a guarantee that they would stand behind their car and they have not. After having a mechanic look at the car, there is also a required filter missing from the glove department that we knew nothing about. Also the car is slow to go into 5th gear which started happening 2 months after getting the car and the mechanic states this may be an issue with the chip associated with the transmission. I have been aggressively talked to, talked down to and addressed like a "silly" female, but when I went in to buy the vehicle, I was told that they stand behind their cars and would be there for us. It's a very shady operation and I am very sorry that I have gotten mixed up with this company.Desired SettlementI would prefer that the car be traded for another vehicle in better condition, but will accept all mechanical issues being repaired as promised in the beginning.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] OWNERContact Phone: [redacted] DID PURCHASE A [redacted] FROM HERE ON JUNE 6 2013 .
