Review: Read below in desire.Desired Settlement: I booked a cruise the first week in April. I went in and signed an agreement for payment and cancellation policy which I was later told by [redacted] Cruise line I should have been provided with my terms and conditions. I cancelled the trip because my mother had health problems on April 13 my agent said she would return my call the same day to let me of the penalties. I paid 119 for insurance andI didn't receive a call because she went on vacation. I called the office to see what was going on in her absence I was told I had to wait for her return. I called [redacted] to see had the trip been cancelled. It wasn't canceled to the 17th of April and I was made aware by [redacted] that I had time to cancel and receive the penalties that was written in the contract. I spoke with several people in the office but [redacted] provided me with more information than Cavalier Tours. [redacted] returned and told me what my refund would be and I was short about $300 and that I had to file an insurance claim and my mothers medical records had to be released and found out this information when [redacted] returned which I had no previous knowledge. It is now May 4 I haven't had any recourse with the refund.

The money that you paid to us is in [redacted]'s hands. Whether you book with them or through a travel agency the process for a refund is the exact same. Claim forms have to be filled out in order to receive refunds. Insurance does notcover cancel for any reasons, you will have to provide proper documentation in order to have your claim processed. I have done everything on my end in order to help you with this process.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.This could have been avoided if the terms and conditions were delivered to me which I found out by [redacted] was delivered to [redacted] at Cavalier Tours. [redacted] will not speak to me about billing they will only speak to the travel agent. Also the travel agency didn't cancel the trip Friday o17th when I called that Monday. I was not made aware until two weeks I would have to file an insurances claim to receive funds.

Cavalier Tours didn't provide any information outlining anything for cancellation policy.
