I have a written agreement with Cavalry Portfolio. I paid them the agreed sum of money to remove the account from my credit and also to release the lien attached to property. A loan that was approx $6500. was bought by Cavalry and increased to $23,136.45. I sent a certified bank check in the amount agreed upon, with a return signature certified letter. I received a signed return, plus the bank where the certified check was drawn said it cleared. I went to the court house and checked on the lien... its still there and on my credit. They have lied about their agreement. I have a letter from the company stating our agreement. I am term ill with cancer and all our property is wrapped up in a family estate. The family attorney wrote them a letter and now if we do not hear from them, he is taking it to the court here where I live and suing them. More money... This needs to be solved asap as per their agreement. Why do collection agencies like this have to be such crooks.

Received letter in the mail. Called right away to pay off settled debt. It was a great deal! The people treated me horrid. The lady on the phone acted like a was criminal for a 200 dollar debt. I paid it off. They told me that they would take 60 days to mail me a receipt. I called back three weeks later to ask for receipt. The lady whom answered the phone was horrid. I left her know who I was and that I no longer owed them a debt, that I just needed a receipt. I asked for the manager that helped me before. His name was [redacted] and I had his ext that he gave me. She was so rude and told me that he was busy. I said I would like his vm or I could wait. She huffed and puffed and then he got on the line. He was HORRID! All I wanted was my receipt and he acted like I was a bad person that owed more money or something. I was shocked. The moment I said that I was going to make a report on the Revdex.com he was starting to try to be nice. It just kills me how a company like this treats people. I am one of the many few that actually paid my debt in full. I mean wow. How can someone lie and say 60 days and then now, he says that he can rush the receipt paid in full letter today. This is amazing how these people get anyone to pay anything.

Review: This company has placed a collection on my credit report and I have no contract with this company and they cant provide any evidence that I owe them money. These company has multiple complaints and I will file a complaint with the attorney general office to seek legal and criminal actions against this company. They seek money from people by placing collection claims and not being able to provide evidence of any debt. They plan to force people to pay any money they seek.Desired Settlement: They MUST delete any collections on my record and provide any monetary damage to my credit. I will sue them in civil court for any damage done to my record in no less than 25k.

Dear Mid-Hudson Dispute Services:

Thank you for giving Cavalry Portfolio Services, LLC ("Cavalry") the opportunity to respond to the above-referenced complaint.

[redacted] claims in his complaint that Cavalry did not provide him with documents evidencing the account and that Cavalry is

reporting the account to the credit reporting agencies. Cavalry investigated these claims and determined that Cavalry has no

record of receiving any request from [redacted] for documents. Furthermore, Cavalry reports accurately to the major credit

reporting agencies.

However, in the spirit of good customer service, Cavalry has closed this account and ceased all collection efforts with respect

to this debt, and has notified the major credit reporting agencies of the same.

If you office has any further Questions. please contact me at the number listed above.

Review: Cavalry is reporting a collection with original creditor Citibank. I have never conducted business with neither of these companies and have made sent several certified return receipt letters to them and I have gotten confirmation that they have received and they have blatantly ignored my request. In my letters I have requested the following. *Itemized statement of all charges and credits on the above mentioned account from the date the account was allegedly opened to current date to substantiate the amount that you are attempting to collect *Proof of assignment of the alleged debt from the original creditor, or proof of your purchase of alleged debt from the original creditor *Statement confirming that no part of this debt was paid by an insurance claim or used as a write off for taxation purposes *Provide a copy of an original executed contract that contains my signature, where I agreed to this debt. They have blatantly ignored all my request and I am praying that you please help me mediate in this situation.Desired Settlement: to immediately remove the account from my credit file

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Thanks for the response. This is not answering my Validation request. in my request I asked for itemized billing. This is just one statement to an account that I do not even recognize. I requested for the purchase bil of sale agreement from Citibank and Cavalry portfolio where it states they have the legal right to collect on this debt. I called Citibank and they do not even have my social security number in their records which is why I want a copy of the application with my social security and signature stating I agreed to pay this debt. I am also going to forward my complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau since I have learned that they are now monitoring the illegal practices of companies like this.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Review: I have a collection listed on my credit report to be owned by Calvary Portfolio. After years of them never attempting to collect on the account I sent them a Letter certified mail return receipt offering to pay them if they would remove the information from my credit. Calvary never responded to my request in writing. It was only when I called weeks later I was advised they were unwilling to remove the negative information. For several months I heard nothing from them. Then I received a letter from another agency Van Ru Credit Corp. stating they were representing Calvary and attempting to collect money. This letter was dated on April *, 2013. I made contact them Van Ru only to be told they could take payment but not remove the negative information that would have to be done with Calvary to contact them directly. Which I did again, to be told the same thing they would not remove the information. Now on August * 2013 I was contacted by another company called Glass Mtn. Capital attempting to collect on the same account for Calvary. They also informed me they would take payment but not remove the information to contact Calvary which I did. Calvary then tells me no they will not remove the information because Glass Mtn. is representing them on the account for me to contact them. I do not trust the fact that Calvary is the one listed on my credit report yet they have 2 other companies supposedly representing them contacting me at the same time for payment on the same debt with none of the them willing to remove the negative information after payment. None of the 3 companies thus far has even provided any validation showing that I owe the debt and they are the company owed.Desired Settlement: I would like a letter verifying the debt and their ownership of the account. I also want the account removed and the 2 other companies to stop contacting me attempting to collect on the same account. I am unwilling to make any payment which they have been advised multiple times until they are willing to remove the negative information.

In his complaint [redacted] claims that Cavalry refused to delete its tradeline. Cavalry investigated this claim and determined that it is Cavalry's policy to update accurately to the major credit reporting agencies and not to delete tradelines.

By way of background, Cavalry received a letter from [redacted] on March *, 2013, agreeing to settle the account for $375.00 if Cavalry deleted its tradeline. On March **, 2013, Cavalry advised [redacted]'s wife that Cavalry does not delete accounts from credit reporting agencies, but that Cavalry would update the account and could provide a satisfaction letter.

In the spirit of good customer service, Cavalry bas closed this account, ceasing all collection efforts with respect to this debt.

Review: This company has a false collection on my credit report. They have tried this first in Ohio, under another company name, and the Ohio state attorney General stopped it and awarded me $300.00. Now they are trying the same thing from New York. This is not a legitimate debt. I do not have, nor have had an account with them, or the company they are supposedly collecting for, GE Money Bank. I want this removed from my credit report, and the company prosecuted to the full extent that the New York law will provide for.Desired Settlement: Remove this false information from my credit report, and a settlement of $ 300.00 for my inconvenience, frustration, and trouble with receiving credit with good interest rates because of these crooks.

Review: I am a victim of fraud. The debt this company places on my credit report does not belong to me. I'm frustrated with the condition of my credit and the nonchalance of this companies representatives. This fraud was obviously not difficult to detect when I first discovered my SSN was stolen and being used [redacted] informed me so if they noticed it then it was obvious. I'm past discussing it with them. It needs to be permanently deleted from my report and it no longer should pose a barrier for me and negatively affecting my credit score since I never initiated nor obtained an account with this company.Desired Settlement: INVESTIGATE AND RESOLVE.

Dear Sir or Madam:

Thank you for giving Cavalry Portfolio Services, LLC ("Cavalry") the opportunity to respond to this complaint.

In the complaint, [redacted] alleges that her Cavalry account is the result of identity fraud. Cavalry investigated the complaint and responds as follows:

By way of background, the underlying account was opened with original creditor [redacted], N.A. On or about April 2012, a Cavalry affiliate acquired the account and assigned it account number [redacted].

On or about December **, 2012, [redacted] spoke with a Cavalry employee and alleged that her Cavalry account was the result of identify fraud.

On or about December **, 2012, Cavalry mailed [redacted] materials necessary to investigate [redacted]'s allegations of fraud. The packet requested that [redacted] supply Cavalry with additional information by mailing the information to Cavalry. Cavalry never received a reply to its request for information from [redacted].

On or about January **, 2013, Cavalry mailed [redacted] a reminder regarding the pending fraud investigation. Cavalry never received a reply to this reminder letter.

On or about February **, 2013 Cavalry closed the fraud investigation as without merit because Cavalry never received necessary infonnation from [redacted].

Although [redacted] did not supply documents to support the allegation of fraud, Cavalry is closing [redacted]'s account and permanently terminating collection efforts. Cavalry directed the credit reporting agencies to delete Cavalry's tradeline from [redacted]'s credit report. Cavalry expects but cannot guarantee that the credit reporting agencies report accurately.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this proposed resolution will be looked into if the issues still remain on my credit report I will contact the Revdex.com again.

Sincerely,

Review: Cavalry Portfolio Services has placed a negative entry on my credit reports (Experian, Equifax and Transunion; account # [redacted]). I have disputed with the credit reporting agencies and they have all come back as verified. In September 2013, Cavalry sent me a letter stating that they recognize my dispute and were in the process of getting validation for the alleged debt. They said it would take up to 60 days. In November 2013, they sent another letter saying they were still working on getting validation. At the same time, I disputed with the credit reporting agencies and they still came back verified. I responded to their second letter saying that per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, they must cease collection activity until proper validation has been made. By continuing to have their entry on my credit report, incorrectly verifying my disputes, and NOT providing proper proof that I owe this alleged debt they are violating my consumer rights as well as breaking the law.Desired Settlement: Since Cavalry can't seem to provide proof of this alleged after more than 2 months, they must close this account and cease collection efforts which includes immediate removal of their entries on my credit reports.

Dear Sir or Madam:

Thank you for giving Cavalry Portfolio Services, LLC ("Cavalry") the opportunity to respond to this complaint.

In the complaint, [redacted] alleges that Cavalry has put negative information on [redacted]'s credit report; [redacted] requested validation; and Cavalry improperly reported information to the credit reporting agencies after [redacted] requested validation.

Cavalry investigated the complaint and responds as follows:

On or about February 2010, [redacted] opened the underlying account with original account number ending [redacted]. On or about March 2012, [redacted]'s account was charged off. On or about April 2012, a Cavalry affiliate acquired [redacted]'s account.

As a data furnisher, Cavalry is obligated to report customers' accounts accurately. Cavalry confirms that it provided information on [redacted]'s account to the credit reporting agencies.

Review: CAVALRY PORTFOLIO SERVICE is posting a collections account on my credit report that they cannot validate. Account #: [redacted] Amount: $1,508. Under the FCRA if these guys cannot validate this debt that they claim I owe they must it remove it from all three credit bureaus. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I have sent them a request to validate the debt the mistake I made is I did not send the mail certified mail so I can't prove it. These guys are providing a statement of a credit account with a credit limit of $500 but they claim I owe more then $1,464. Are you sure you have the correct [redacted] or do you usually make up numbers as you go along? I do not accept this response and will like be saving this communication for future complaints with the FTC and your local attorney general. I didn't send the letter by certified mail but I will keep this as proof that I did try to communicate with the so called new creditor (who by the way is not licensed in my state to collect debt) and that you failed to come up with a solution. Please note that I do not want any communication with you by phone, If you wish to contact me you may do so through the Revdex.com.

You are hereby notified that if you do not comply with this request, I will immediately file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and your Local Attorney General’s office. Civil and criminal claims will be pursued.

Response:

Dear Sir or Madam:

Thank you for giving Cavalry Portfolio Services, LLC (“Cavalry”) the opportunity to respond to the above-referenced complaint.

In the complaint, Ms. Begum alleges that she previously requested validation. [redacted] alleges that the original credit limit was $500.00. [redacted] alleges that Cavalry claims she owes $1,464.00. [redacted] does not agree that she owes $1,464.00.

By way of background, Cavalry received a first complaint from [redacted] submitted through the Revdex.com on or about October **, 2013. In the complaint, [redacted] alleged that Cavalry could not validate her debt. Cavalry responded by explaining that [redacted] had not previously requested validation. Cavalry also provided a copy of [redacted]’s charge off statement to the Revdex.com.

By way of further background, Cavalry received a second complaint from [redacted] submitted through the Revdex.com on or about October 31, 2013. In this complaint, [redacted] alleged that Cavalry could not validate her debt. Cavalry responded by sending validation directly to [redacted].

This complaint is the third complaint from [redacted] submitted through the Revdex.com.

On or about September 2007, [redacted] opened an account with Washington Mutual with account number ending 8511. On or about June 2008, the account was charged off. On or about June 2012, a Cavalry affiliate acquired the account and assigned it number [redacted].

As the June 2008 charge off statement reflects, [redacted]’s account had a credit line of $500.00. As of June 2008, [redacted] owed $694.77. The June 2008 statement has a notice which reads: “Important Message: your account is past due and over its credit line. Please pay the minimum payment listed above along with the over limit amount immediately.” The minimum payment for June 2008 was $100.00.

At the time [redacted]’s account was charged off, the principal amount of [redacted]’s debt was $694.77. Following charge off in June 2008 and prior to Cavalry’s acquisition of the account in June 2012, interest continued to accrue. Accrued interest totals $812.93. Since Cavalry has acquired the account, no additional interest has accrued. Ms. Begum’s total outstanding principal and interest is $1,507.70.

In the interest of good customer service, Cavalry is closing [redacted]’s account and terminating collections. Cavalry has sent [redacted] a letter memorializing the account closure to the address listed in the complaint.

If your office has any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Cavalry.

Kind regards,

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I am glad to see that Cavalry has decided to close the account and terminate collections but they did not state that they would remove this account from my credit report. I don't want this account reporting because it is damaging and preventing me from obtaining credit with lenders. The letter they mentioned they sent to me was not a confirmation of the account closing, removal of the trade line, and that they would stop collection. All they sent was a paper stating what they claim I "owe". I would like to be sent a letter by mail or they can attach a letter to this complaint in their next response state that they would remove this trade line from my credit report with all major bureaus, they will stop collection practices, and that they will not sell this account to any other company. After obtaining a letter by mail, or by an attachment to this complaint I will happily request that the Revdex.com close this complaint until then I will like Revdex.com to leave this complaint open.

Sincerely,

Review: I was contacted at my place of work, for a debt that is not mine (my wife's debt, Name: [redacted]) roughly a month ago. Told them the number they were contacting was my place of business and they could contact my wife on her cellphone but not to contact me again at this number. Was told I would be removed from the contact list, and they would proceed to contact my wife. Today, 10/**/13, I was contacted again on my work phone from the same debt company, for the same debt, after I told them not to contact me anymore. This is a private matter for my wife, has nothing to do with me, but I'm being contacted against my will, at a phone number that I was guaranteed that would not be contacted again.Desired Settlement: It is my understanding that if I request not to be contacted at my place of employment, that the collector must abide by that request. I have been denied my legal rights, and wish to have some sort of settlement on this collection account, so that they have no reason to contact me or my wife, [redacted], any longer.

Review: I contacted Calvary Portfolio Services to inform them that the account being reported in my name does not belong to me and is adversely affecting my credit score. So much so, that it is preventing me from purchasing a home. To date, I have not been able to get a response from them verifying this dest. I'm sure it's because they can't verify it. I've called on numerous occasions attempting in good faith to resolve this situation. I went so far as to send the below letter, agreeing to pay the balance in full! All my request have feel upos deaf ears. The final conversation I had was today, when I was informed that the account is being "investigated", will be updated as disputed and I will be contacted within 60 days. The young lady I spoke with did state that I could call her to follow up (again...) next week. The below letter was mailed certified mail and confirmed received by a Calvary customer service representative after I phoned. [redacted] Cavalry Portfolio Service [redacted] August *, 2013 Re: Account Number [redacted] Dear Collection Manager: This letter is in response to an entry on my credit reports. The account number I have is the one listed on my Experian credit report. I wish to save us both some time and effort by settling this debt. Please be aware that this is not an acknowledgment or acceptance of the debt, as I have not received any verification of the debt. Nor is this a promise to pay and is not a payment agreement unless you provide a response as detailed below. I am aware that your company has the ability to report this debt to the credit bureaus as you deem necessary. Furthermore, you have the ability to change the listing since you are the information furnisher. I am willing to pay this debt in full, in return for your agreement to remove all information regarding this debt from the credit reporting agencies within ten calendar days of payment. If you agree to the terms, I will send certified payment in the amount of $391 payable to CAVALRY PORTFOLIO SERVICE in exchange to have all information related to this debt removed from all of my credit files. If you accept this offer, you also agree not to discuss the offer with any third-party, excluding the original creditor. If you accept the offer, please prepare a letter on your company letterhead agreeing to the terms. This letter should be signed by an authorized agent of Cavalry Portfolio Service. The letter will be treated as a contract and subject to the laws of my state. As granted by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I have the right to dispute this alleged debt. If I do not receive your postmarked response within 15 days, I will withdraw the offer and request full verification of this debt. Please forward your agreement to the address listed above. Sincerely, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like for all three credit agencies to be updated removing this account completely.

[redacted]:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: Cavalry Portfolio has been reporting a collection account on my credit report. I have disputed the information with the credit reporting agencies based on the fact that I have no knowledge of the account based on the account number and dollar amount that they are reporting. Each time I dispute this with the credit reporting agencies it comes back as verified. I sent a letter to Cavalry Portfolio which they received on Jan. **, 2014 based on the signed receipt asking them to provide me with information regarding this debt. I have not heard anything from them regarding this debt. The dollar amount they say I owe keep increasing yet no one has provided me with any information. I had also asked that they provide me with the surety bond information that is needed to collect a debt in the state of Texas and they have not provided that information to me either. Right now I feel they are violation of the Texas Finance Code 392 for failing to provide me information in a timely manner and not providing me their surety bond information which I would need to file claim against them. The information that they are reporting against me is unverified and unsubstantiated and is causing me an undue hardship.Desired Settlement: Documentation of the alleged debt they say I owe and explanation of the charges they kept accuring on this account and what contractual agreement they have that proves I owe the alleged debt to them. Also if they are collecting a debt in the state of texas the surety bond information on file with the secretary of state. If they are not able to provide these things to me I would like for the information to be removed from my credit report because right now they are violating my rights under the fcra and also the TFC 392.

I have never conducted business with neither of these companies and have made sent several certified return receipt letters to them and I have gotten confirmation that they have received and they have blatantly ignored my request. In my letters I have requested the following.

*Itemized statement of all charges and credits on the above mentioned account from the date the account was allegedly opened to current date to substantiate the amount that you are attempting to collect

*Proof of assignment of the alleged debt from the original creditor, or proof of your purchase of alleged debt from the original creditor

*Statement confirming that no part of this debt was paid by an insurance claim or used as a write off for taxation purposes

*Provide a copy of an original executed contract that contains my signature, where I agreed to this debt.

I am hoping that your company can help mediate on this situation and help me get a response. I do not have a complete account numbers but I will gladly provide you with my full social. [redacted]Desired Settlement: To immediately remove both collections from my credit file

Review: This company, Cavalry Portfolio Services has posted a negative, derogatory collection account on all three of my credit bureau reports that I have no recollection of having( Feb 2010). Back in Feb. 2010, this company called me every day as much as 4-8 times a day harassing me of this so called debt. I have read that there are several laws concerning this as I told them several times but they ignored them and continued calling me, I can get the phone records if needed. I have disputed this account many times with the credit bureaus in hopes of resolving it but it keeps saying its verified. I have sent numerous debt validation letters to them requesting validation of this debt but they have not sent me the information as I requested and have ignored all my letters requesting debt validation on this account. I have researched collection laws in both my state and in New York and see several violations, and if this matter is not resolved, also file a complaint with the New York attorney General regarding this matter as well as in my state of Texas. In order to resolve this matter, I would like this account to be immediately deleted from all three of my credit bureau reports which includes all information concerning this account, I would also like them not to resell this account as I never want it to return on my credit reports as I check all three of them often. I am writing the Revdex.com concerning this account to help me resolve this matter as I have given Asset Acceptance every option to correct this before it got to this pointDesired Settlement: In order to resolve this matter, I would like this account to be immediately deleted from all three of my credit bureau reports which includes all information concerning this account, I would also like them not to resell this account as I never want it to return on my credit reports as I check all three of them often.

Review: After disputing an alleged charge from Cavalry Portfolio Services on all three of my credit reports, I have twice written, via certified mail, with a request for verification of said alleged debt. Cavalry Portfolio Services claims I owe an alleged debt of $501.3* from a closed GE Money Bank/Walmart card. They have sent me only a dollar amount, my name, and a date of my allegedly having had said debt. According to Federal and State laws, Cavalry Portfolio Services must provide me with real proof of said alleged debt. They must also provide proof of their being legally licensed to collect debt in my state, information as to whether this alleged debt has passed the State Statute of Limitations of 4 years past the first date of default to the original account holder, itemized charges detailing my actually having used this alleged card, and my signature on any paperwork proving that I agreed to assume debts incurred on said account. They have yet to provide me with any proof, although I have gotten the return receipt postcards that prove someone has signed for the correspondence I sent to them. I mailed both items to the Tempe, AZ, post office box, as that it the address on my credit reports. The replies, however, have come from Valhalla, NY.Desired Settlement: I would like Cavalry Portfolio Services to immediately remove this item from all my credit reports and not contact me further.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. I find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved, provided they follow through with their promise and I receive documentation from them of their having complied with their statement.

Sincerely,

Very unprofessional. The man I talked to claimed this is a law firm and he was an attorney and then I find out it is a debt buyer. That was the first lie. He gave two different names to my husband and I. He claimed they were trying to serve court papers to us, but have been unable to. We have never seen any papers nor do we owe any debts that would justify this. When I asked what time of business they serve, he hung up on me. Seems shady and like they are trying to scam us. Posing as a law firm over the phone to intimadate should be illegal. This company should be shut down. Fraud at its finest.

Review: Violation of the FDCPA and FCRA. This account was opened in 2009 and paid as agreed with original creditor. Then this was outsourced to Cavalry, however they have reported the account as if it is a brand new account, with a open date of 2011. Per the FCRA you must go by date of last payment or date account originally opened. THis is a misrepresentation of my account and my rights under the FCRA. This also violates the FDCPA and how long a creditor can collect on account, and this information is misleading and incorrect. My desired outcome is to have the account updated on my current credit report, indicating the correct date of opened account, from the original not the date it went to their office. If not resolved, I will be filing with the Federal Trade Commission, and the Attorney General.Desired Settlement: Want my credit report updated accurately, the date it originally opened. not the date it went to their office. I would like this also removed, because I am paying original creditor.

Response:

Dear Sir or Madam:

Thank you for giving Cavalry Portfolio Services, LLC ("Cavalry") the opportunity to respond to this complaint.

In the complaint, [redacted] alleges that his account was outsourced to Cavalry; Cavalry has inaccurately reported the age of the account; and [redacted] continues to pay the original creditor,

Cavalry investigated [redacted]'s complaint and responds as follows:

[redacted]'s account has not been outsourced to Cavalry. A Cavalry affiliate acquired [redacted] 's account on or about June 2012.

By way of background, on or about September 2005, [redacted] opened the underlying account with HSBC Card Services, Inc. with original number ending [redacted]. On or about January 2009, the account was charged off. On or about April 2010, the most recent payment attempt was made on [redacted]'s account in the amount of $100.00.

Cavalry reports consumer information based on the date of first delinquency. [redacted]'s account first became delinquent in April 2008. Cavalry may permissibly report an account which first became delinquent in April 2008.

Cavalry investigated [redacted]'s claim regarding ongoing payments to the original creditor. To this end, Cavalry contacted both the original creditor and the seller. Cavalry was unable to confirm [redacted]'s allegations,

During the investigation, Cavalry determined that the final attempted payment on the account occurred in April 2010. The final payment attempt was made by a check drawn on [redacted]'s bank account. The check was returned for "Not Sufficient Funds."

If your office has any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,
