bit.   We started working on the Backhoe on 7/5/16,    we inspected his unit and found the differential lock linkage broken and left side brake was leaking.   The MFWD linkage was worn and mfwd clutches were burnt up.  Found wiring problems in the dash and a broken fuel gauge.  Our Technician found that the parking brake had bolts missing and needed adjusting.  Mr.  [redacted]’s also wanted us to install a cold start aid.   When Mr.  [redacted] stopped in he was told that the repairs listed above would be approx. $3,150.00 for labor only.  and we were unsure of parts pricing being we had to outsource them from a case dealer,    Mr. [redacted] told us to go ahead with repairs.    It took some time to get all the parts in.   some parts were no longer available new and had to find good used ones, which we sent back a couple of used parts that were worn too much to use.  Unfortunately this all added to the time it took to repair.   When we got back to working on unit it was noticed that the right hand front tire had a bad wheel bearing.   When Mr. [redacted] stopped in to check on his backhoe he was showed the loose front wheel.    He initially said not to repair it.    He then stopped back a few days later and said to go ahead with the front wheel bearing repair.    Once these repairs were made and technician was out test driving the backhoe   the engine quit.    It was diagnosed that the fuel injection pump had an internal failure.    A remanufactured injection pump was ordered and installed on it.   One of the times Mr. [redacted] stopped in our technician, showed him how the cold start aid functioned.   Prior to final check over of unit,   technician gave unit a final wash it was at this point that a leak in the front of the backhoe was noticed.   The hydraulic oil cooler was leaking.    Mr.  [redacted] was made aware of the leak and declined repair.   He paid for the repairs and the backhoe was returned to his location.    Mr. [redacted] stopped in and said that the leak in the front of the backhoe was leaking so much that he couldn’t use it.    A service call was set up to go to Mr. [redacted]’s location and look at leak.    The technician removed the cooler and brought it back to shop with him.    The cooler was taken to a Radiator shop that also repairs coolers.    The cooler was rotten and was not able to be repaired.    A new aftermarket cooler was priced.   Mr.  [redacted] was made aware of the price, he told us to go ahead and order the cooler.    Mr.  [redacted] was contacted when new cooler arrived.   He said he didn’t want new cooler.  He stopped at store and picked up his old cooler.    Mr. [redacted]  did not pay for the service call to check the leak or for the new cooler.
