November 14, 2016Revdex.comRE: Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted] Yavapai College’s Performing Arts Center (“the College”) response to the above Complaint is as follows:This patron unknowingly purchased a ticket from a third-party ticket resale website that is not affiliated with the CollegeTherefore, the complaint should be filed against the third-party ticket resale companyUnfortunately, these types of entities are known for selling tickets for events at inflated pricesThe College does not have control over this type of practice, however, it has implemented, prior to this occurrence, the following to educate and warn its patrons against these companies: 1) Information on all printed promotional material from the College clearly states the website to purchase tickets: [redacted] 2) On the [redacted] website, the following notice is given: Yavapai College Box Office and [redacted] are the only OFFICIAL TICKETING PROVIDERS for events at the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center and affiliated venuesTickets obtained from unauthorized sources are often greatly inflated in priceThey may be stolen, counterfeit or invalid and may not be honoredTickets purchased from other sources are not eligible for replacement if tickets are lost or stolen, or if the event is canceled or rescheduledYavapai College Performing Arts Center is not responsible for tickets purchased from other sources [redacted] / 3) If a patron clicks on a link to purchase tickets on the YCPAC website, the link connects to Vendini.com, which is the online ticketing software company used by the College to sell ticketsThere are no links on [redacted] to third- party ticket resale websites4) The College’s box office staff are available by phone and in person during box office hours to answer questions if customers have concerns before purchasing about unknown fees or unauthorized ticket outlets, and to redirect patrons to the official website: [redacted] This information was explained to the Complaintant, however, the College recognizes that it can sometimes appear to our patrons that they purchased a ticket through the College, when in fact it was through a third-party ticket resale website
