Mr. [redacted] never told us to turn water off for 5 days. We did keep water off for 3 days so everything would be dry before and after sealing. This is not a water issue! I've had other  professional advice+opinion. He told us we could move stuff back on patio after 1 day which we did. The water came on the day after that. Besides water never touched most of the goo spots!

Review: July of 2014 Chuck [redacted] sealed our patio with his high gloss sealer that was to last 15 years as advertised in his ad.To make a long story short; he batched the job. His sprayer was spitting and globs of sealer sprayed everywhere leaving gooey spots. These spots turn white when wet. It looks awful. When we complained to him he denied any fault. He said he saw no gooey spots. Then he said "don't tell me how to my job!" Nothing has been done to fix the problem.I called another person; [redacted] recommended by Spec West to look at my problem. He said it was a really bad job. Now it all has to be stripped and redone!I just want my $1300.00 back from Mr.[redacted]. It is going to cost me way more now to have the job done correctly. If I take him to court I will have him pay all costs.I have put this unpleasant task off as I have been going through hospice care for my husband. He died in Nov. Mr [redacted] knew our situation and just ignored us thinking I would go away. I am now ready to get this taken care of.He is still advertising in our community paper. I want others to know about his work and ethics.Desired Settlement: A full refund. If I have to take him to court it will be way more than that.

With regards to the complaint ID [redacted], files by Mrs. [redacted]. The letter provided by Mrs. [redacted] to you was not completely accurate. Not only did I respond to her complaint but I did try to fix the problem. I was working for about 30 to 40 minutes when Mrs. [redacted] came out and stated this is going to take too long, how about a refund and we will just call it square. She also said the same thing on the phone prior to my coming there to try to fix the problem. This indicates to me all she wants is a free job. I finally got tired of her constant complaining and told her the problem was not the workmanship but the fact she left her sprinklers on after I specifically told both her and her husband that the patio cannot get wet for 5 days. It takes that long for the sealer to cure properly. When I arrived the next morning I found that the sprinklers had already been on from the evening before. The patio showed multiple signs of being wet as the attached pictures show. Getting the patio wet prior to allowing the sealer to cure will cause a number of problems. An adhesion is the main problem as well as bobbling which she is experiencing. It was after I had been there once to fix the issue I did state that I would consider a refund of some sort but would need to check with my partners. One of them is the supplier of the sealer and they all stated after seeing the pictures that we should not give a refund at all. I frankly agree with them. I do own controlling interest in the company, so the final decision is mine but unfortunately I do have to go with that decision. Especially since Mrs. [redacted] attitude and the things she has said make me believe that she is only interested in a free job. I will be more than happy to meet anyone from the Chamber at the location to actually see the job first hand. I hope this answer5s any questions you might have. Please feel free to contact me should you have any other question. Cordially

First every customer is told kleep water off for 5 days. I have lots of customers that would be willing to verify that. Second is yes the furniture and other stuff can be put back once the surface has dryed. The 5 days is to allow the sealer to cure internally completely, the surface will be dry enough to walk on but not repel lots of water.Third the fact that the pictures taken the day after the first coat was put down but before the second coat shows the patio wet. Cement will allow water to travel under the cement and then be absorbed into the cement affecting the curing and adheasing of the, sealer. Thus is what caused the problem she us having. Lastly if her sptinklers,we're off even for three days as she states, why is her cement have water puddles on it the next morning as shown in the pictures. If she is,so sure that this is not a water problem we has she not gotten an expert to say so in a letter. It would also have to be someone that understands how our sealers works. An opinion by a customer who has no working knowledge of sealers and how they work with cement is not a reliable source. Thanks Again

Every customer is NOT told to keep water off for 5 days. We were told to keep off for 3 days as was other customers that had their patios resealed by Mr. [redacted]. They are [redacted] and [redacted]. We were all told 3 days!
