Review: My husband and I have been having trouble paying our mortgage on time so we had contacted our mortgage company, Ocwen Loan Servicing LOC to modify our loan. We did this three different times but they refused to help us so I got some help from the making homes affordable government program which was fine but then my husband was out of work for several months so with my minimal income I managed to pay one or two payments but we fell 60 days behind and we were getting desperate so I started working with a company called CBN Financial to help us with the paperwork to modify our loan. The representative was [redacted] and he had me very excited at the prospect of lowering our interest rate to 2-3% vs the 8.9% we are paying right now. I looked online for legitimacy of his business and that he was truthful only to find good things. I even checked the BBC site and read all the initial contract information which truly seemed legitimate! So we sent him $500 plus all the paperwork he requested within three days. He called me approximately 20 times in that three day period to make sure I had all the paperwork in order and the payment sent. This was on August 25th. Once he received our paperwork and money he STOPPED calling all together. I waited two weeks before I contacted him again and he was friendly and tried to reassure me that he was working on the loan and we would be getting a letter of authorization to sign and fax to our mortgage company so that CBN Financial would be able to work with them on our modification on our behalf. No letter came for two weeks so I called him again and this time he got a little rude and told me they had 30 days to contact our mortgage company with the paperwork. It has now been almost 50 days and we still have no letter of authorization and no further communication from [redacted]. I have tested him several times and called the company several times to no avail! I want my $500 dollars back or some PROOF of servicesDesired Settlement: I want my $500 dollars back or some PROOF that CBM Financial is REALLY working with my mortgage company on my behalf! When I spoke with our mortgage company they said they hadn't heard anything from CBM Financial. I have since paid one mortgage payment but we are starting to fall behind again since we paid CBM Financial the money we would have used to pay our mortgage.

Please help us get our money back or a guarantee of services. I don't want a check for refund since I am finding lots of information lately about [redacted] and his rubber checks.
