CBM Painting Inc

Review: In September 2014 [redacted] of CBM painting came to the property that I own, [redacted], and gave a written estimate to paint the inside of the house, a 1,500 dollar deposit was given for a 6,000 dollar job,at the time and I was informed that it would take two weeks to make the house look perfect. After that I contact Mr. [redacted]i via text and we negotiate a higher price that would include the outside trim and doors of the house making the total cost 7,900 dollars. I contacted Mr [redacted]i October 28th and told him that the house was ready. He said that he was in the middle of a job but could start in two weeks and promised multiple times the inside and outside would be done by november 21st. He promised to start Monday, november 10th, didnt show up but said he would start tuesday, then Wednesday, finally started thursdsay. He said he needed the money on the 21st and promised he would finish everything. I paid him the balance. As he worked the next few days nail pops started coming through the paint( I learned that he didnt properly prep the walls or the wood) he didnt finish the outside and the few places he painted he ended up getting paint on the new siding. the inside is horrible, there are places with no paint, the corners are awful, there are nail pops all over, they didnt properly caulk. he and his father came back sporadically and made excuses and said they would fix things. after 4 weeks of on and mostly off work I called his boss and father in law [redacted] said to give him some more time and I did to no avail. Finally [redacted] came and saw the work and informed me that [redacted] had"gotten greedy and taken too many job and we will fix what we can but it wont be perfect." it was still horrible and they stopped showing all together. [redacted] would text me that he was at the house when I was actually there and he wasn't and he would say he was working on stuff that was never touched. I got two estimates both of which said that the house had to be completely repainted for a number of reasons(sloppiness, poor or no prep work, old paint, etc.) and gave estimates to do it for over 9,000 dollars. I sent a letter to CBM painting stating that if they didnt complete the work by the end of the week I would take legal action.Desired Settlement: I would like the money I paid them to be returned
