Review: This business is notorious for creating charges for discrepancies, which did not exist. CBS Rentals hadn't made any repairs to a house that we were renting (for a single year). They informed us that because it had been so long since they had made repairs and that the foundation of the building was collapsing that they would have to come in to the house towards the end of our lease, at what they said would be no charge to us, and perform some routine maintenance. After the termination of our lease, CBS Rentals charged us approximately $7000 claiming that their neglect to maintain their property for the past decade had been 100% our doing. We received none of our security deposit back and then they charged us an additional $400. The total $7000 went to the routine repairs that they had been making which they claimed wouldn't be charged to us. After discussing this with countless other renters from CBS, they are notorious for creating charges to repair their dilapidated homes at the expense of the renter even though it was not their fault. We have yet to pay the claimed outstanding charges and wish to see some sort of accountability on behalf of their property management.Desired Settlement: We are refusing to pay the ridiculous charges from CBS and would like our money back for at least part of the security deposit which we deserve, because we are not to blame for 10 years of neglect to a home. If the company has damaged our credit we would like adjustments to be made.
