Reviews House Flipping CC Builds

CC Builds Reviews (%countItem)

I recently purchased a house, that CC Builds flipped. They installed a bathroom that was not previously there, and the plumbing was done incorrectly. This lead to water damage, not even 3 weeks into living in the house. Having two small children in addition to the health concerns of myself and my significant other, mold can grow very quickly. The business was extremely rude, and did nothing to own up to the mistakes that were made. During the sale, they stated that they wanted us to have no work or damage to have to deal with, and now this is how they act.

Desired Outcome

Refund We would like the costs of the repair to be covered by the company, in addition to the damage that it caused.

We are sorry the buyer is not happy with their purchase but all plumbing was in working order at the time of sale. An inspection of the plumbing and the house as a whole had been completed and signed off as being in working order. The purchasers had a couple of issues that we were notified about after closing which we have always responded to but it was human error with all of them. They claimed the furnace didn't work. We provided receipts and contacts of the installer to help fix the problem. The Misses even called us directly to complain about it and when asked if the propane tank was full, she snidely responded yes. The problem ended up being they ran out of propane. Another issue was the dishwasher and fridge which we provided the warranty papers and receipts for. Again, it was a lack of reading directions and all worked properly. These are just a couple of the issues the young couple complained about due to user error. Any issues that have arrived we attempted to analyze and was willing to help with. Now they complain of a drain issue and have the realtors send pictures of the recessed ceiling light complaining of the "gap in the drain". We told them that is not a drain and to send pictures of the drain. We asked for more information to help *** if there were any issues to see how we could help them and none was provided. Then this complaint was filed. At this time we have no legal obligation to the owners or the house as all inspections were completed and everything was in working order at time of purchase. We feel like the kids who cried wolf one to many times may or may not have a legit issue now but we have no obligation to them and with all the prior complaints being user issues, don't know if this may be another one. In working with them on any issues they have had and now getting this complaint, we will no longer have any contact with the purchaser as we have provided over the top service all along the way to be reported on an issue that potentially was another human error. What caused the "leak", was it due to overflow of the toilet, a shower door left open, a faucet left running, etc or mechanical? We weren't even informed as to where the "leak" was. As we would have liked to assist them, whether user fault or mechanical error, we will no longer be offering any extended help or services.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We were told countless times, that this house was supposed to be in a condition in which "there should be no issues" it was our understanding that we get comfortable purchasing the house because of Paul's sincere will to be helpful during the time of the offer, and closing. As soon as we closed we have found countless issues, from the dishwasher not being installed correctly to now major water damage, which we had inspected by a licensed inspector. The damage is due to the upstairs shower drain not being installed correctly. Our realtor told us that he sent the picture of the drain pipe to Paul, but it seems as though he did not. We have had more than one plumber come out and look at it, and they stated it was installed incorrectly. With this being said, it is not "another cried wolf" we spent thousands of dollars on a house that we wished we now didn't have, simply due to lack of completing jobs. When I first spoke to Paul, I did in no way intend to be "rude" I just wanted to express the fact that his company had done wrong, and if it were me I would want to know this. He was over the top kind to us, until any issues occurred and then it seems as though he did not care because he had his money. He saw us as a young couple, and took advantage of the fact that he could get away with not completing jobs entirely. We now have spent/spending 2,000 on damages that were created due to his lack of responsibility in finishing a job correctly. It is upsetting that someone who seemed so kind and willing to help, has turned on us from the minute that we had an issue. The issues have all been real, and I am more than willing to provide documentation for all of them. I have attached the shower drain, to show that it was installed incorrectly.

At the time of the sale there were no known issues with any of the plumbing as also stated by the home inspector. Any safety issues brought up in the home inspection were immediately corrected. As for the HVAC, the new owners didn't fill the tanks. As for the appliances, they were brand new with warranty papers and receipts given to buyers. At this time, we have completed the sale of the home with providing above and beyond service to the buyers with no known issues at closing. In an attempt to not repeat ourselves again and again, we no longer have any obligation legally to this house or the buyers. Moving forward we wish the best for the buyers and encourage them to learn about the basics of home ownership in all manners.
