C&C Motors Reviews (2)

Buyer Beware!!!! I purchased an 07 jeep wrangler from this dealership. On the way home, it started to vibrate violently. Did it twice in a 30 minute drive. Didn't to it on the test drive. I contacted the dealership about it. Since it was sold "as-is" they refused to do anything about it. I took the jeep to a jeep repair center and found it needs $1200 dollars worth of repair to the suspension. The repair shop also said there was a substantial amount of rust under the vehicle. I should have took the jeep to get it inspected beforehand, so that is on me. Beware when you deal with these people and do your due diligence on anything you purchase from them..

Details and description of condition of vehicle (Volovo 240 wagon) was totally inaccurate and deceptive. I have copy of add and emails. Total fraud. C&C Motors was advertising a 1993 volvo 240 wagon that has new lenses, timing belt, shocks and bushings, AC, new brakes in good running condition. Email and phone conversations assurred me that there was no undercarraige rot, no boby rot and new tires on rear and that the work described was performed. I have the emails to prove that and can provide those if needed. I purchased the vehicle for 2800.00 but NONE of this work had been done. A lot of body rot, no new tires on rear, brakes are shot, fuel line is leaking, rear driver's side lens is broken and won't pass inspection...it is a mess. I had this looked at by a volvo dealer in Geneva NY ([redacted]) and they gave a written estimate of 995.00 (I have the paperwork) to get it to pass inspection. If the add and the conversations with [redacted] (owner of C&C Motors) was true the vehicle would have been worth 2800.00 but as is is worth maybe 1500.00 at best. I would have never purchased a vehicle in this condition...never. I called him immediately the morning after returning to New York to complain and stated that I was mislead by the add and his emails and phone conversations, that I was lied too. He didn't care. I am not a reach person and work as an educator now. I feel that I was robbed by a very unethical person and wish to be refunded the full price of the car. He said himself he could sell for more than I paid so let's see if he can. Thank you for listening and I hope you can help. Desired SettlementI just want to return the car for a refund of 2800.00. I was lied to about the condition of the vehicle and it has been valued by [redacted] at 1500.00 and no more. Thank you for you time. [redacted] Consumer's Final Response Hello Revdex.com,As requested I am sending you the information regarding the seller's response to me and to the Attorney General's mediation office. So far the owner of C&C Motors has not agreed to refund my money for the vehicle he sold me. I have the original Craig's List add narrative and email documentation describing the vehicles condition which none of which was true. In fact all of the areas which [redacted] described as "new" or "replaced" was just the opposite. Complete fraud. According to the Kelly Blue Book, a vehicle of this age that is in "excellent" condition would command $2,100.00. That would a vehicle in "excellent" mechanical condition with no body rot. I paid $2,800.00 based upon [redacted]'s description and insistence that the vehicle was in most "excellent" condition and warrantied by him. I followed up with several phone calls asking very specific questions about very specific things such as "rot" and he assured me that they was none. That is a complete fabrication. There is a great deal of rot on every part of the car large enough to put one's fist through parts of the front quarter panels. It is so bad that the rear bumper fell of yesterday in my driveway because the mounting brackets were so rotted. In order for it to pass inspection it cost me almost $500.00 for a complete brake job on rear...which he said had new brakes. It is true that brakes were replaced on the front of the car some 10,000 miles ago but not the rear. On the market in its present condition based on the Kelly Blue Book the car may be worth about $700.00. This man has ripped me off and feels no obligation to correct the situation. I also blame myself for trusting [redacted]'s lies. He is unscrupulous business person who took advantage of me. Thgank you for your time.[redacted]
