UMH purchased the Meadows community in October 2015. Mr. [redacted] acquired his home in 2011 from [redacted] the prior owner of the community. Thus, UMH was not the owner and had no involvement with Mr. [redacted]'s acquisition of the home. In fact, [redacted], to whom the subject Revdex.com complaint is addressed, was a [redacted] employee and never employed by UMH.
UMH requires all residents to maintain their homes in accordance with UMH community standards for the purpose of keeping up the appearance of our community. This requirement is enforced equally amongst all residents. After UMH acquired the community, it performed visual inspections of each of the homes and Mr. [redacted]'s home was one of the homes deemed not to meet UMH standards. Attached is letter that we provided to Mr. [redacted] specifying the required repairs.

I may not be able to stop what was done to me, but I will make sure this scam doesn't happen to anyone else.
My next step will be to contact the Attorney General of Indiana.
There are dozens of people who have been scammed by THE MEADOWS. It doesn't matter who owned it or when.
These people were all duped. These people are now being forced to make repairs they can't afford because THE MEADOWS scammed all of them.
It's not right.
Because they were scammed by THE MEADOWS, they will now probably end up losing their homes.
The reason they were duped by THE MEADOWS to take these trailers is because THE MEADOWS "knew" they were not worth fixing.
Yet what THE MEADOWS did was push these trailers on people who couldn't even afford to pay their rent according to their own criteria.
We were turned down for a rental based on our income. Then THE MEADOWS put a family of seven in a trailer that should have been demolished. I have proof. When we first moved in, we applied for assistance from REAL Services. We qualified, but the trailer was so far out of code that they couldn't touch it. I have two letters from REAL Services to verify this.
After I contact The Attorney General of Indiana, I will be finding out who is in charge of mobile home inspections and expressing my frustration about THE MEADOWS to them to.
