C&D Hardscape and Design

This response is in regards to Chad J[redacted] of C&D Hardscape and Design. On October 5th and October 13th, 2017, I sent Mr. J[redacted] pictures asking for his feedback on the blocks and pavers that are separating, as well as the steps that are unleveled and protruding toward the house. These issues where more than just him repairing with a little sand that was coming out the joints of the patio. In regards to a tree falling on the patio and causing separation (in which I sent Mr. J[redacted] the pictures) is not true. The tree fell on top of my patio’s umbrella and table, and it never touched the patio. Therefore, Mr. J[redacted] is correct by stating that it has nothing do with the warranty. Regarding the situation with Semco Stone (which has nothing to do with the warranty) we received defective material twice that was verified by the supplier. After the second mishap, the supplier stated for the inconvenience that I could keep the material and that he would give me a credit and would also offer Mr. J[redacted] a pallet of material of his choice for his inconvenience as well. During this time, I was paying Mr. J[redacted] and his employees by the hour to pick through the defective material. My calls to Mr. J[redacted] began on October 5th – October 27th, 2017. I made several attempts to contact Mr. J[redacted] for over a month via. telephone, text, and voice messages. Mr. J[redacted] never responded to any of my messages. I was only able to speak with him whenever I called from an unknown number. Mr. J[redacted] would give me a date, but would never show up or would give me more excuses as to why he could not show up. I would like for Mr. J[redacted] and C&D Hardscape and Design to be financially responsible for any issues with his work up to 5 years. However, I would prefer to have another contractor repair the work due to Mr. J[redacted] and C&D Hardscape and Design not being reliable, trustworthy, or professional.

caused the separation of the sand, but I told him that I would fix it anyway. I will fix this issue in the spring when the temperature is warmer for the installation of the polymeric sand can be properly done. The customer, [redacted] purchased the patio materials on my account from Semco Stone and when the project was completed he called his credit card company and cancelled the purchase, leaving me to end up with a bill of $2300.00 and growing from late fees. I have called [redacted] several times on this issue and no resolution. I was waiting on [redacted] to pay for what he purchased in order for me to repair the sand joints. I’m still receiving statements from Semco Stone stating that I owe the money for the block that he had installed and then took back his money. This is why I haven’t repaired his issue yet.Thanks, Chad J[redacted]
