Thursday may 17 2018. Around 945 am I went into the Broadview cd one price cleaners location to take my dress shirts to have them clean I’ve been going to this location faithfully for a year and half my family also goes to this location as well meaning mother and father. This particular day I was bringing two white dress shirts to get cleaned Rosa who is the manager of this location waited on me we exchanged pleasantries before you leave they ring up at the register and have to pay for your items before you which I did I waited for my receipt to print out. It came to $3.58 I charged it on my debit *** card she gave receipt it showed that was paid for.I came back the next day which was May 18th 2018 to pick up my shirts when entered the store young lady which was an employee waited on me she was very rude towards me even though I came in with a smile she was very short in terms of conversation I gave her my information to look up my order she then replied I can’t give your shirts and I said why she said because there not paid for I said I have receipt showing I paid yesterday. She said nasty well your not getting shirts until you pay I said your policy is to pay up front when dropping your items offf so at that point I ask to speak with the manager which is Rosa who had waited on me Thursday she looked in the computer and said sir you didn’t pay I said I inserted my debit card yesterday so I had pay again come to find out when I checked with my bank it didn’t go through on their end which they could called me and let me know because the funds in the account more than enough money was there. When I asked Rosa why didn’t she let no right then and there she replied you left right I said did not because we were laughing and talking and I had to wait for my receipt she was a totally different person the next day very very rude and nasty this was not my fault she could have called to let me know that payment didn’t go through that it was a problem .
We apologize. It seems it was just a big mistake. The card did not go through. Rosie, who took your order, did not notice it did not go through. Because it didn't go through, the computer showed you owed a balance. The girl who was helping you would not have known anything about the situation except that it showed you owed 3.58. When Rosie, the manager, was called she apologized and explained it had not gone through which was verified when you checked your account. Unfortunately, these things can sometimes happen. Once again, I apologize for any frustration that was felt. I can understand at that point in time how frustrating it must have been. We will credit your account 100% of the 3.58 and it will be ready to be used immediately. There were never any bad intentions, just miscommunication.
