CDC Landscaping Reviews (1)

Review: We called CDC Landscaping last November to inquire about ordering firewood. We received a cell phone from a neighbor to call to place an order. However, the day I called, the gentleman who answered said he was too busy with his landcaping to deal with the wood until after Thanksgiving. In a very brief 30 second conversation, he asked our address and phone number and said he would call us back. We then went and called another vendor, [redacted] and ordered wood from them instead since we didn't want to wait. A week or two later, the wood we ordered from [redacted] was delivered. The following day while we were at work, CDC delivered wood to us. We never agreed on an order amount, type of wood, costs, nothing. Since we didn't know who delivered it, we had to wait until we received a bill. I thought I was being nice by paying part of the bill since we never even ordered it. We paid them $250 in January and included a letter explaining the situation. We also called them to explain but the woman who answered was extremely rude and abusive to my husband. They continue to send us bills requesting us to pay more money. We wrote another letter on March 7th explaining that we were not going to pay any more ... but the bills keep coming. The latest bill is dated May 2nd in the amount of $82.84.CDC delivered the wood without an actual order AND they had to see that we already had a brand new stack of wood. They just went ahead and stacked their wood right next to our existing brand new pile of wood. They do not have any invoice, order form, nothing. Yet they will not let this go. Can you please help us? Obviously, CDC is practicing fraudulant business. And we learned a lesson, we should have just called them to come back and pick up the wood (which, by the way, was terrible quality).Thank you for your help,Sincerely,[redacted]

The owner of our company received a phone call from [redacted] requesting that firewood be delivered to her home. In other words she placed an order with us and we complied. We delivered the firewood and placed it specifically where she asked. We also had to scale a wall to get it there! We sent the client a bill. The bill was paid partially with a note enclosed saying some man did not order it. They owe us a balance of $85 and now refuse to pay it. If they didn't order it, why would they pay it partially? the person was home and saw the truck. Why didn't they come out and stop the delivery or call right away? Our name and number is labeled on the truck and it is also on the invoice. Now they are threatening us in which they can contact my attorney at their cost and deal with collections. We bent over backwards to appease them when we could of been doing something else and getting paid for it. In my legal opinion, they are trying to get out of paying a bill. Is their a Revdex.com that takes formal complaints against a residential client? Maybe there should be. they admit to receiving and accepting the firewood, why wouldn't they pay for it?

We were not home when they delivered the wood or as I said previously, we would have stopped the delivery. As we also said, we never placed the order, we just inquired about it. Please have them show proof that they have an order? How much did we order? Was a price agreed upon? Was an agreement signed. No no and no. This is definitely not a business that the Revdex.com would want to represent. Just look at the response... this is only 1/2 as rude as the woman was on the phone to us. If there is a way to get a copy of their phone bill, we can prove that the call lasted 30 seconds and in no way was an order. He, the owner, was supposed to call me back to go over details. Which he never did. And so, as we said, we ordered from another company. And the only reason they knew where to put the wood is because they stacked the wood RIGHT NEXT TO the existing pile of wood we had already ordered. The company should be ashamed of the way they conduct business. Absolutely ridiculous behavior all the way around. If they want to take us to court to try to collect the $85, so be it. We will fight to get the original $200 back also.

1. When you placed the order you spoke to a man who happened to be the owner of the company. You mailed a nasty letter to us with no return address.

3. In order to make yourself look good, you are stating lies to the Revdex.com.

4. I feel that the Revdex.com should not represent a person such as yourself.

5. If you did not want the firewood or use the firewood, we would have been more than happy to pick it up and bring it back.

6. the firewood was delivered on November 26, 2012, a Monday after Thanksgiving. The invoice was mailed on December 3, 2012. Why did you wait a 2 months to complain?

7. Why did you not call right away when you noticed a cord of firewood that you say you did not order in your yard?

8. You also mentioned in your letter that you ordered firewood from someone else as well.

9. [redacted] told the owner of the company where to place the wood. We supplied a breakdown of the time spent on the invoice you received.

10. We received your check in the amount of $250 on January 29, 2013. That's 2 months later. Then, we receive a letter from you a week later. Now, 6 months later, you are complaining to the Revdex.com because you did not pay your invoice in full? Sounds pretty ridiculous to me.

I find your move to discredit me and my company quite odd, just to get out of paying a minor balance. There will be more information to follow.

Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2013/05/30) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

No need to waste any more time on this. As you, the Revdex.com can see, this representative for CDC landscaping is unprofessional, as proven in these nonsensical responses and the way they conduct their business.
