Review: October 2nd, 2012 CDC Pools began warranty repair work to my pool deck that they had refinished. The job was to be preformed over a period of two days. They worked all day on October 2nd but never returned to finish. I have a written and signed statement saying they would return. After many calls to CDC and many repair visit cancelations it was agreed that they would return and finish the warranty work on the deck. The repair work was finally scheduled for October 28th 2013. Prior to the work starting, CDC made me sign a written statement agreeing to a 6 month warranty period. I agreed and signed the statement. Work began October 28th 2013, continued October 29th, and was scheduled to conclude October 30th. CDC never returned to finish the work on October 30th 2013. I left for the month of November on vacation. Upon my return I noticed that again the work had not been completed. Again it took many phone calls to get them to finally finish the work February 21st, 2014. When they finished I asked them to sign a statement I prepared saying that the work was finally completed on February 21st and the warranty period would now begin. They have refused to sign the statement and insist the warranty period began on the day work started October 28th 2013. I contend that the warranty period of 6 month began the day the work was completed. I would like them to simply honor the contract that we both signed.Desired Settlement: A signed copy of the statement I prepared stating that the work to my pool deck was completed on February 21, 2014 and on that date the 6 month warranty period that was agreed to in writing started.

Impressive! I have been through pool building process twice before and have had to deal with many headaches and repairs. So going in my expectations were high and patience low. CDC Pools really delivered! [redacted] and team know how how to keep their client happy. The phone was always answered right away, he made me feel like I was the most important job he had. I was completely informed of the cost, tasks and timeline, there were no surprises. The quality of work and professionalism was exceptional, a great value. Never before have I had a team of workman that sheduled a time and kept their commitment, they even arrived early ! Outstanding job to CDC Pools and [redacted]. You and your highly skilled team transformed my old plaster pool and created a beautiful new oasis for me and my family to enjoy for years to come.

Just finished a swimming pool resurfacing by CDC Pools. We had a mini-pebble surface installed, replaced the waterline tile and pool light, and added a self-filling automatic water leveler. CDC did a great job from start to finish. They arrived when they said they would, brought big crews for the labor-intensive work so it got done fast, left everything immaculately clean, and best of all, their pricing beat out the competition. While I hope I won't need this work done again for many years, I would not hesitate to use CDC again and heartily recommend them to anyone needing a pool renovation.

Review: CDC Pools replastered my pool in 2011. The also installed a new cleaning system. Not only were the skimmer connections installed incorrectly but the cleaning system installed was deficient. The "Creepy Crawler" pool vac system would not operate properly, getting stuck on the high profile plate on the bottom of the pool, thereby providing no surface cleaning whatsoever. Salesperson [redacted] provided me with a $50.00 gift certificate to Leslies Pools, an unaffiliated company, for an add-on in-line debris cleaning system at the time. That told me even Mr. [redacted] thought the cleaning system was insufficient. Over the next 18 months, I contacted Mr. [redacted] (###-###-####) dozens of time to seek help and guidance. He stated on each and every call that he was working on it and would have an answer for me shortly. That answer never came. I was quite persistent with him and called him again and again, even sending him pictures of the shoddy workmanship. One Friday evening, I called and asked him to send someone out the following week. He responded by saying he and his 'owner' were out looking for the needed part at that very moment. I was born at night but not last night.

No employee or agent ever came to my residence regarding this complaint. I have spent hundreds of hours manually cleaning my pool. The 220-volt cleaning system has run for virtually thousands of hours with little or no surface cleaning taking place. I have since hired other pool contractors to repair the improperly installed components. They have, to a person, told me the system is so deficient I will need to think about replacing it. I spent over $7000 on this project. This business should not be allowed to operate like this. A cursory search brought up many complaints against CDC Pools, however I believe this is the first Revdex.com complaint. Thank you.Desired Settlement: This has been one of the most frustrating transactions I have ever had the displeasure of being involved with in my adult life. With the hundreds of hours of time I have spent trying to correct this, the waste of electricity, the expense of hiring other pool contractors, but mainly the cavalier, arrogant attitude of [redacted], I think a letter of apology and a refund of $1000.00 is well within the boundaries of fairness.

Review: I purchased an energy efficient pool pump and CDC pools installed it. The address of the istallation was [redacted] at the [redacted]. This pool pump is eliegible for an [redacted] energy credit rebate. When I called [redacted] to inquire why I had not recieved my rebate, I was told the rebate check had been sent to CDC pools and cashed. My [redacted] account # is [redacted]. I have called the CDC installer and explained the situation. He said he would tell the office. I have called CDC pools myself and been transferred to the person in charge of rebates. I have left several messages and no one will return my calls. I basically want CDC to cut a check and send me my energy efficient rebate from [redacted] that they recieved and cashed.Desired Settlement: I would like CDC to send the refund check to the address provided in this report.

Review: On 1/14/2013 we hired CDC Pools to redo our Pool, we had prior a cool deck surrounding the entire pool this allows the person to walk on the surface without the heat from the sun burning your feet. We were told prior to the finish of the surface that we have now the new decking would not be as cool but would be walk able and slightly warmer than the original cool deck. We paid CDC Pools $1800 to install the new deck. The weather has gotten hotter now, you cannot even stand on this new deck for even 2 seconds, the children cannot sit, stand or even touch this new surface without being burnt. We contacted CDC Pools to ask why this surface is so hot, it took five phone calls and messages just to get a response form this company...On 6/6/2013 we received a call from Louis he told my husband that its hot out and he does not know what the sales person told us , so in other words we have to hire another company to fix what CDC Pools did, they told us this would be walkable surface we are not happy and would like CDC Pools to fix the problem, we cannot enjoy our back yard surface and feal that the product they sold us was not what we were told, this is an inferior surface and we would never have purchased or had installed by CDC Pools.Desired Settlement: We would like for CDC Pools to to correct this serious problem with the cool deck product that we thought we were getting as told by the sales person if they cannot do this then we would like a full refund on the decking only so we can hire another company that can do the job as promised by our sales rep. This is a dangerous issue that can cause serious burns to our grandchildren as well as any adults. CDC pools have received the money from us as required and we would like to have what we purchased.

Response:

In regards to the decking, we applied an acrylic lace which is use throughout the pool industry; this is what replaces cool deck, you cannot apply cool deck to existing cool deck or any other cured concrete sub straight. Acrylic lace is a little warmer than cool deck and unfortunately we live in Arizona. When it is 110 degrees outside, everything outside is hot especially in direct sunlight. We installed the correct coating per the agreed upon contract as well as to industry standards. There are no workmanship or material issues in regards the product that was applied.

Thank you.

Regards,

No this is not what we were told when we agree to have this surface done by CDC, I would assume that the sales person would know about the heat in AZ he does live here right and is not new to his job. We asked him several times and he assured us that it would be slightly warmer not so hot that it poses a danger to young children walking on it, we would never have had this product applied to or over our cool deck...We have lived in this state for one year and based on the knowledge that your sales person portrayed to us we thought he would know that the temperatures known to this state would make this product not acceptable to us. People do use their pools in the summer and not as much in the winter as we do. we still want this fixed as soon as possible or refunded the amount so we can have another company take care of it right away.

Response:

In reference to Mrs. [redacted]’s compliant #[redacted], regarding the Kool Deck application which took place on January

16, 2013: After inspection of the deck by CDC it has been

determined that the proper Acrylic decking was installed pursuant to our

contract with Mrs. [redacted], job # [redacted].

However in good faith, we will refund the entire cost of

the decking, in the sum of $1,870.00, on one stipulation. Our said stipulation requires Mrs. [redacted] to

let CDC Pools, Inc. to remove the acrylic lace that was applied which would

allow Mrs. [redacted] to apply the surface of her choice.

Operations Manager

I contacted CDC Pools for a quote on a remodel. Several of my neighbors had their pools redone by CDC Pools and all are happy with the work. I have a big Master diving pool, which is 20x40x9. I visited their showroom in Chandler to look at samples. My contact was Ms.S[redacted], and from beginning to end, CDC Pools has been FANTASTIC! Ms.S[redacted] kept me informed as to when crews were coming, what to expect, and if I had any questions, she was always available to answer them. The destruction / demo went quick, and the construction / rebuild went just as quick .All the crews who were involved, took great care in cleaning up when they were done, and allowing me to take as many pictures / video's as I wanted. All in all, I can see why my neighbors are satisfied, as I too am now a very happy pool owner and a proud member of the CDC Pool family.

Excellent process from start to finish. Very professional from the sales process to the installation. We lover our remodeled pool!
