This letter is in response to case ID # [redacted] Although I am very happy to hear that [redacted] did not have any previous issues living at our community and would not have chosen to move out if this incident had not occurred, it saddens me that one of our valued residents was a victim of a crimeAs you may know, crime has no address and can happen anywhere.Sometimes the need to move out unexpectedly becomes a realityThings like job changes, family changes, home purchases and even personal safety can all be valid reasons for needing or wanting a change The TAA Lease Contract, which all residents sign and agree to, does have this very circumstance covered So for whatever the reason for not fulling the contract, the fees are the same and outlined in the lease It is not up to us make determinations as who the rules apply to based on their plightAnyone who breaks the lease is charged accordingly.In.this case, The Lease Contract was adhered to, the fees were assessed correctly and the deposit was applied towards the remaining balance on the account Unfortunately, the deposit of $cannot be refunded as requested.I wish [redacted] the best of luck in the future.Respectfully, [redacted] ***

I am rejecting this response because: I clearly stated that someone had been watching me which means that I was targeted!!! Once I realized that my safety was no longer secured! I lived alone, no pets or a man meaning that I was an easy target!! Anything could have happened, what if they came back?? The main reason I moved was because I was being watched I knew that I wasn't safe! The apartments had security but someone still Managed to freely break into my home in the middle of the day but no one heard or saw ANYTHING??? No I don't feel secured after that! My safety was in danger and I did what was best for me!! Found security! I should not be punished twice for this! Someone steal personal items and security from and I have to pay a price for trying to keep myself safe?? I should not! I just want my deposit back, and to not have a broken lease reported to my credit!
