Cedar Creek Homes Reviews (8)

Per a phone conversation with [redacted] , I agreed to review the purchase price of the home. The purchase price of the home was raised $4,000 over the display model to allow for the following custom features [redacted] added: Upgraded carpet, appliances, linoleum, whirlpool tub, 3 ceiling fans and a... recessed frame to set the home on a foundation. The total costs of the items were $3,635. I have a hard time with the fact that the appliances are now such a hot topic, but at the time of purchase [redacted] is saying he never even asked to see what the upgrades appliances would be and just ASSUMED that the salesman's words of deluxe upgrade meant they would be on a level that exceeds what the factory even allows. The appliances in his home were upgraded to the highest upgrade of appliances they will allow us in that series of home and in a black color. This complaint did not surface until several weeks, possibly a month after he first viewed the home and now the home is over an hour away from our facility. We even went as far as to give him a $1,000 discount to help with additional costs to use a crane to set his home that he wasn't expecting. We went beyond the norm on this situation and I feel confident our company has sold him a home under fair market value. Negotiations of price should be made prior to purchase and not after receiving the home. We will refund $500 in this situation in an attempt to help the customer with this matter, but this will be the only thing we will offer.Thank you, [redacted] ***OwnerCedar Creek Homes

This is an old complaint that is now being added tooThis is very simple and our company has all the documentation proving the statements I am makingThe home came with a year warranty from the MANUFACTURER, not us.We did not build the manufactured home and are not the warranty provider We helped customer as a curtesy with the shingles and even repaired interior issues caused from STORM damage, not a shingle defectCustomer continues to blame us somehowThe shingles on the home are the quality of shingles they paid for and all damages are happening due to high winds, which is considered an insurance claim, not warrantyThe AC system also came with a year warranty and this is the first time we have heard a complaint from the customer on this matter and it's been 1/years since it was installedOnce again as customer curtesy I offered to help them with a possible recall on one of the components in the system if indeed if was that part that was causing the problemNow with her continued complaining I have decided to not help anymoreIf they want to pursue the factory recall, they will need to contact Intertherm, not meWe are no longer involved with this matter.Thank you, [redacted] ***

1st The microwave was put in a cabinet due to the Beverly hills kitchen package you received then gives you the euro range hood insteadWe have offered to have your euro hood removed and a over the range style micro installed, but you declined that and want to keep the euro hoodWe then agreed to have to microwave moved from cabinet and put on counter along with installation of cabinet doors as long as the factory can make that work.2nd I personally drove 150 miles round trip days after we set the home to unlock it and called you immediately to tell you it was unlocked and the keys were on the kitchen islandThis was approxthe last week of November and you did not contact us about the appliance concerns until Jan17th, almost weeks after you had the keys to the homeOur service Deptdid a walk thru on Jan 4th and still nothing about appliances.3rd You did get the upgraded refrigerator, smooth top range and can get the over the range micro if you'd like and we will have the factory remove the euro hood and do soThey don't offer any upgrades on dishwashersYou got the deluxe appliance packageI still couldn't imagine agreeing to a $3,000 item and not wanting to touch or see it first before making my mind up on the matter, possibly even a description? I could never buy something just because somebody said I would like itOne persons opinion isn't going to always be the same as yoursThis is just the weirdest thing I've seen in my years selling homes.4th I mailed your refund check a week ago and this is my last response on this.Thank you,*** ***

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
When we special ordered our house we were with the salesman ***We upgraded the flooring, carpet, backsplash, & countertopHe added those with no cost to make the saleThen he told us for $we could upgrade the kithen appliacesHe stated *** get a really good price on them being they buy in quantityThat included upgrades for the stove, refridgerator, dishwasher, and above range microhoodI did upgrade the master bath tub for a whirlpool tub for an extra $1000.00
First the dishwasher is exact same model as floor model not upgradedThe microwave was put in cabinet, not over range as microhood as stated in the contract***(salesman) said we would definitly get our moneys worthWe are not tring to renegotiate the price, just expecting to recieve what the salesman said we would get
Sincerely,
as for why we didn't say anything for a few weeks or a monthWhen we looked at the house on their lot it was in halves, we could not see the hole houseWe did see the kitchen, the appliances were wrapped and strapped for transitWe were not alowed in the home untill swas completeI talked to ***(owner) if I could get inHe thought I already wasNo one told me the keys were inside or gave them to meThe house was lockedHe had to come down and unlock the houseAfter that we started looking at everythingShortly thereafter we did notify them about the appliances among other issues The way *** explained it to us $deluxe appliance package, $whirlpool tub, & the other upgrades were includedThe ceiling fans, I called and asked how much it would cost to get ceiling fans in the bedroomsWhen we got there to make the down payment, *** said he got *** to throw them in for no cost Thanks *** ***

Hello [redacted],I'm sorry you are upset about a few issues with your home, but I want you to be aware that my company has worked very hard on your behalf. I've attached a few photos of your home to hopefully make you understand my explanation better. The wavy areas that you are mentioning was indeed...

looked at shortly after you contacted our office and that is when these photos were taken. The wavy look has nothing at all to do with the installation, nor your comment about the home setting. It is in fact due to your dirt settling and being wavy itself. The skirting track is rigid and will not flex enough to push down into every little crevice created by the wavy ground. Our contract clearly states that final grade work is the homeowners responsibility. we did our best to get the track and skirting to cover the rougher areas.Your complaint about the long siding is actually called an outside corner post and is also shown in one of the photos. While I agree with you wanting them cut off shorter, I cannot do that. That was installed by the builder (Fleetwood Homes) and is exactly like all other manufacturers out there. Please feel free to view all the homes on our lot or on any other dealership and you will find the same thing. The complaint about the hole in your floor to allow the air conditioning line to come into the home has never been voiced to our company in the past but we will contact the HVAC installer to schedule him to return to your home to seal around the opening.Your home was inspected by the state of Missouri after our work was completed and none of these deficiencies were found to be true by their inspector. Please feel free to call me anytime to discuss this matter. [redacted] Thank you,[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The skirting is still too short (up to 4 inches shorter) in some areas because it was cut shorter. The waviness is not bad, but the fact that the bottom trim on the west keeps coming off is an issue. I did mention the hole in the floor in one call, but was discussing skirting issue also at the time and it may have been overlook.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
