Proposal drawn up after viewing and accepting job. Deposit given. Job not done. Phone calls not returned since.Visited site twice with contractor, last visit on [redacted] Check [redacted] deposit given on [redacted] at [redacted] restaurant on Rte 5 rotary. Job to be done on [redacted] Check was cashed [redacted] Have not been able to contact [redacted] since giving the deposit. No work has been done at property.Desired SettlementWould like the [redacted] deposit returned since work was not done.Business Response By the time this was recieved via email, my electrician ( who was on vacation) and is the first step in this process to complete this project( which I had explained to Mr [redacted]) had already come and gone he marked out the channel to be cut in the plaster wall, You can not take to much plaster down as it can not be matched up, also explained to Mr [redacted], we scheduled Friday to install a cieling vent. This is at a tenants home of Mr [redacted] and he called me no less than 5 times a day.. It will be installed on friday . It is frustrating to get no response by phone after giving 1/2 deposit, having the check cashed and then not having the work done. As of today [redacted] the work has still not been done. According to the tenant no one has come by since the estimate of the job was given. As for the assertion that the job will be done on Friday, I'm not sure what that means. [redacted] was a Friday. It has gone by. It has been three weeks since we gave the deposit and we still have no idea when the job might be complete. If Mr. [redacted] can not do the job, let us know. We would like our [redacted] deposit back.[redacted] and [redacted]Final Consumer Response We would like to reopen complaint case #XXXXXX.On [redacted] we provided our address for Cedar Falls Construction LLC to send a [redacted] refund of our money since they decided not to do the job. As of today [redacted] we have not received our deposit back.
