Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] First of all, our contract was signed may 6, with a start date of mid- JuneThe actual start date was July On July 17th a whole was dug for our patioNo other work was done for weeksMy husband and I called and texted on a consistent basis to find out when work would be completed [redacted] had told us that when the project was started, it would take approximately days to complete [redacted] would tell us at the beginning of the week that the patio would be done at the end of the week and then never even show up during that wrkThis went on for over a month He spent a Sunday constructing a partial retaining wall and one of his workers spent about hours in a Friday building a partial fire pitAt the end of August I had other contractors come out to give me a price on finishing this projectBoth contractors told us that the retaining was did not have the proper material behind it for it to hold upBoth contractors also told us the fire pi was not placed in the middle of the patio, and it was not leveled correctlyCedar falls also did not dig far enough down for the grade in our yardAfter hearing this I contacted [redacted] about the structural issuesHe expressed no concern and wanted to wash his hands of the whole situation [redacted] offered to refund us our initial depositMy husband and I both decided that we wanted our deposit back so we would be able to hire a competent contractorWe received our deposit back [redacted] left our yard an absolute disasterMy husband and I were left with close to $in repairs to our yardHe left gravel all over which is going to have to be removedThe company we hired to fix the work [redacted] did incorrectlyHad to dig out the dirt behind our retaining wall to replace it with the proper materialThe patios fire pit is still not centered property bcuz it would have cost too much to move itEven though we received our deposit back I think consumers should know that cedar falls owner [redacted] is unreliable, an outright liar, and the work he did manage to do needed to be corrected And most importantly- consumers need to know and be prepared to pay additional money out of pocket to fix possible damage to their yards

Business response was taken over the phone by Revdex.com staff 9/8/With this job, we signed it in June with a July start dateThey started building the walls, but then the next week, someone, maybe a friend, told the consumer that the job wasn't being done right They tried to explain to her
that it was right, and the consumer kept insisting that it wasn't right, she asked for her deposit back, they returned the full deposit, didn't even charge her for all the work they already didThey were doing a patio and retaining walls You have to put the walls in and put the floor up to the walls, but the consumer's friend insisted that the floor should go in first Rather than disputing this, they opted to just return the money in full

My husband and I called and texted on a consistent basis to find out when work would be completed. [redacted] would tell us at the beginning of the week that the patio would be done at the end of the week and then never even show up during that wrk. This went on for over a month.  He spent a Sunday constructing a partial retaining wall and one of his workers spent about 2 hours in a Friday building a partial fire pit. At the end of August I had other contractors come out to give me a price on finishing this project. Both contractors told us that the retaining was did not have the proper material behind it for it to hold up. Both contractors also told us the fire pi was not placed in the middle of the patio, and it was not leveled correctly. Cedar falls also did not dig far enough down for the grade in our yard.
