I choose Anthony Sylvan Pools to complete my pool construction in July of and their official dig date was set completed on September I had issues at every step of the process below and the follow-ups are still not complete in April of - [redacted] removed neighbors foundation without permission to access back yard -Pool was layed out/dug incorrectly which led to major changes to plan They compensated this error with and upper level plaster, but there were spots identified in the plaster in November that still remain I have submitted multiple requests to get this fixed, but the requests keep getting ignored and responded with we will have a plan soon -inspections were failed due to incompleteness of work (lack of scheduling commitments Contractor availability is often 3-days minimum after pay schedule requirements from homeowner -Deck Formation was not only changed to plan, but also corrected times prior to pour Attention to detail with corn
They have either no-showed or cancelled on me times in a rowI'm not going to give my business to a company who is this flakyIf the rest of the process is anything like this I want no part of itAt leas in Spring/Houston TX, whoever goes by lasvegaspoolguy who keeps rescheduling is a terrible representative for A&S PoolsThey have zero change of earning my business at this point
Anthony & [redacted] Pools, Houston, finished our new pool and we are completely thrilled with the pool AND the company We have been swimming for about weeks nowWe chose A&S pools after reading hundreds of reviews and interviewing pool companies, and I was familiar with them for having built many pools in my home state and ones I grew up swimming inWe first interviewed A&S two years ago, and had Phil at the Houston location draw up a design for us We also interviewed a small company that had built some neighbors pools We weren't impressed with the smaller company's ideas and what they said during the interview At the time we had too much going on and placed the idea on hold for a while Then we called Phil from A&S again recently (which was years later) and told him we were ready, and wanted to get his new pricing and had a few design changes for him He still had our design on file, and he came out to discuss it furtherWe interviewed other companies just to be fair and help make the decision, for a total of companies in all We showed them all photos that we had found on the internet of what we wanted They all listened and came up with similar designs to each other but we noticed that they all had different design elements, materials, warranties and were including (or not including) different things Some said we definitely needed something, and the other company said you definitely don't want that There were pretty big differences Once we realized this, we told them all that we needed to compare apples to apples and had them all build the same pool on paper with the same dimensions and same materials This resulted in them almost coming in about $from each otherFinally the decision became obvious when we went with how comfortable with the company we were, keeping in mind the different guarantees and the hundreds of reviews we looked atWe decided that we could not go wrong with Anthony [redacted] with how much BETTER their reviews were than everyone else, and again the fact that I was familiar with the company already It seemed like the smartest and safest betBoy were we right I don't know how many times during the build we said "Wow am I glad we chose Anthony [redacted] and not one of the others." Our pool is about 26,gallons of pool and spa combined They finished it in only days from dig to water days! We did have good weather thru 90% of the projectThis exceeded our expectations because we were told 6-weeks We are used to contractors so we thought maybe 8-weeks This was an end of winter/early spring build, so they were less busy than in the summerMichele in scheduling provided us with a schedule online for each task to be completed that we could refer to This was adjusted by Michele for rain and crew availability It was nice to follow along She was excellent during the whole processTheir local pool showroom did not have a ton of choices of materials available, so we asked them what local tile companies supplied them, and we went to the massive show rooms of the tile companies and chose what we wanted, and then told A&S what the names were and it was not a problem at all Glad we did! The workmanship on the pool is excellentLupe our project manager was great and everything is working as it should There were small things along the way that needed attention, but we told A&S and they took care of all items quicklyWe even made quite a few small changes to the pool along the way as we saw it being built and thought about things A&S was great about accepting the changes and making it happenAs long as it isn't too late in each phase, you can do so, but of course be conscious of where they are in the process, and keep it to a minimumWe widened the pool by feet and added decking square footage Glad we didAt then end we had pool school with Brad that showed us how to operate it and take care of it He knows what he is doing and was a very professional teacher Also John helped us program our pool lights and did an excellent job as wellWe didn't have ANY unexpected costs come up from A&S That was a pretty huge deal to us and was a concern while interviewing the companies Some of the others we interviewed said that if the pool caved in after the dig and before gunnite due to heavy rain, that they would split the cost with us, or come to some kind of deal! No way A&S covers that, and even though it wasn't an issue for us, it was comforting to know that it would be covered They were very trustworthy and their estimates were right on No extra costs for plumbing nor electrical The price of the contract was the price the pool costWe are extremely happy we chose Anthony [redacted] to build our poolEveryone involved was great, and we give them stars as a company As good as it gets! - [redacted]

Been struggling with this company since March of to get them to fix a leak in my pool They keep following up with appointments and it's become extremely frustrating We are now in the process of selling the property and it has become a bigger problem that they have been unable to complete the repair
Before this, it took them two months to fix a problem with our heater
Apparently, this company has issues with being timely and it is not fair for the consumer to have to wait this long for a warranty repair

This all started by a friend and co-worker referring this company to us...We chose a different company, but then changed our mind and went with A&S poolsThe beginning process was great, but then the problems startedRemember we were referred so we had already looked at the finished product that they completed for my friend/ co-worker We chose a pool/hot tub and grotto project The first problem we experienced was the GrottoWhat we were shown and what we had seen is about 1/of what we got in our Grotto It's at a point now where we have to SETTLE for instead of what we expected The height of the Grotto is definitely there, neither the width nor the depth is what we expectedThe next few phases of this project went along okay with exception of how we are able to control all the water features, the lights, the hot tub, etc....you see they forgot to install the manual switches we requested before the concrete and decking was completed so now they are trying to figure out

We have always wanted to have a pool ever since we lived in this homeWe had obtained a list of pool providers from our home's association, but the first one was another resident and I wasn't gonna go with a small companyThe second number off that list is Anthony & Sylvan and I called themWe got a free-form pool with a raised spa from themIt has a beach entry with a promenade then step down into the pool which is great for my wife because she has a lot of orthopedic issuesIt also has a nice sized waterfall with a weeping wall on each side and some fountains on the beach entryThey also installed a seating area on one end of the poolThe work of the pool has been more than we had hopedIt transformed the look of our backyard and we're out there all the time nowIt turned this big space into a usable living areaAlso, the equipment package that was installed gives me a lot of automation in controlling the pool and it handles all my requirementsHowever, the disappointing episode in this pool was that we had a horrendous project managerHe wouldn't communicate wellBut their scheduler, Michelle, took it upon herself to handle this and really made it workShe ensured that people were showing up and that my needs were metShe listened to my concerns and make sure they were coveredOverall, there were no deficits in the installation of the pool because of MichelleThey worked very quickly and were always here when they said they wereThen if I had a problem, she handled it which I would have expected the project manager to do for meI'm looking forward to the use of it as a grandkids' magnet especially that we had a little bit of time this summer

The workmanship on the pool is excellentLupe our project manager was great and everything is working as it should There were small things along the way that needed attention, but we told A&S and they took care of all items quicklyWe even made quite a few small changes to the pool along the way as we saw it being built and thought about things A&S was great about accepting the changes and making it happenAs long as it isn't too late in each phase, you can do so, but of course be conscious of where they are in the process, and keep it to a minimumWe widened the pool by feet and added decking square footage Glad we didAt then end we had pool school with Brad that showed us how to operate it and take care of it He knows what he is doing and was a very professional teacher Also John helped us program our pool lights and did an excellent job as wellWe didn't have ANY unexpected costs come up from A&S That was a pretty huge deal to us and was a concern while interviewing the companies Some of the others we interviewed said that if the pool caved in after the dig and before gunnite due to heavy rain, that they would split the cost with us, or come to some kind of deal! No way A&S covers that, and even though it wasn't an issue for us, it was comforting to know that it would be covered They were very trustworthy and their estimates were right on No extra costs for plumbing nor electrical The price of the contract was the price the pool costWe are extremely happy we chose Anthony *** to build our poolEveryone involved was great, and we give them stars as a company As good as it gets!

Been struggling with this company since March of to get them to fix a leak in my pool They keep following up with appointments and it's become extremely frustrating We are now in the process of selling the property and it has become a bigger problem that they have been unable to complete the repair
Before this, it took them two months to fix a problem with our heater
Apparently, this company has issues with being timely and it is not fair for the consumer to have to wait this long for a warranty repair
I choose Anthony Sylvan Pools to complete my pool construction in July of and their official dig date was set completed on September I had issues at every step of the process below and the follow-ups are still not complete in April of
-*** *** removed neighbors foundation without permission to access back yard
-Pool was layed out/dug incorrectly which led to major changes to plan They compensated this error with and upper level plaster, but there were spots identified in the plaster in November that still remain I have submitted multiple requests to get this fixed, but the requests keep getting ignored and responded with we will have a plan soon
-inspections were failed due to incompleteness of work (lack of scheduling commitments Contractor availability is often 3-days minimum after pay schedule requirements from homeowner
-Deck Formation was not only changed to plan, but also corrected times prior to pour Attention to detail with corn
This all started by a friend and co-worker referring this company to us...We chose a different company, but then changed our mind and went with A&S poolsThe beginning process was great, but then the problems startedRemember we were referred so we had already looked at the finished product that they completed for my friend/ co-worker We chose a pool/hot tub and grotto project The first problem we experienced was the GrottoWhat we were shown and what we had seen is about 1/of what we got in our Grotto It's at a point now where we have to SETTLE for instead of what we expected The height of the Grotto is definitely there, neither the width nor the depth is what we expectedThe next few phases of this project went along okay with exception of how we are able to control all the water features, the lights, the hot tub, etc....you see they forgot to install the manual switches we requested before the concrete and decking was completed so now they are trying to figure out

We have always wanted to have a pool ever since we lived in this homeWe had obtained a list of pool providers from our home's association, but the first one was another resident and I wasn't gonna go with a small companyThe second number off that list is Anthony & Sylvan and I called themWe got a free-form pool with a raised spa from themIt has a beach entry with a promenade then step down into the pool which is great for my wife because she has a lot of orthopedic issuesIt also has a nice sized waterfall with a weeping wall on each side and some fountains on the beach entryThey also installed a seating area on one end of the poolThe work of the pool has been more than we had hopedIt transformed the look of our backyard and we're out there all the time nowIt turned this big space into a usable living areaAlso, the equipment package that was installed gives me a lot of automation in controlling the pool and it handles all my requirementsHowever, the disappointing episode in this pool was that we had a horrendous project managerHe wouldn't communicate wellBut their scheduler, Michelle, took it upon herself to handle this and really made it workShe ensured that people were showing up and that my needs were metShe listened to my concerns and make sure they were coveredOverall, there were no deficits in the installation of the pool because of MichelleThey worked very quickly and were always here when they said they wereThen if I had a problem, she handled it which I would have expected the project manager to do for meI'm looking forward to the use of it as a grandkids' magnet especially that we had a little bit of time this summer
