Thank you for letting us know about Ms***'s concern. We started working for Ms*** on her personal property last summer. She was very pleased with our work. I asked her if there was anything else we could do for her, and explained the services we offered. She
mentioned that she was unhappy with her current mowing service on a rental she has in town. In addition, she said that she received a quote for a sprinkler install from the same company that does her mowingShe was unhappy with the price that was quoted. This company has worked for Ms*** for years. I explained to her that I would be interested in bidding on the sprinkler install, however, I was not going to put myself in a bidding war, undercut, or steal business. She said that's fine, take a look at the job and let me know. On August 10, I went to her rental property on ***. I called her and asked if the house had a crawl space, or could I get into it and look. Ms*** said she didn't think the house had a crawl space. I said, ok let me see what I can figure out. Shortly after that I noticed that there was only one power outlet outside. I sent her a text message asking her if it worked, she mentioned she would check the next day. She called me the next day in the afternoon and said the outlet does not work. At that time, I clearly explained to her how we would install the sprinkler system. I told her that we could connect to the outside hose bib, run a sprinkler line to the double check/backflow preventer, then to the valves. I told her I would put a freestanding hose bib after the valves so she would have access to water with easeI explained to her that the system would operate by a battery operated timer. I told her that this process would save her $500. She was happy and hired us to do the job. I expressed my appreciation and told her we would do the job on Monday, August 14th. She said great I will stop by that day to see the work At 11:41am on Monday, she sent me a text message asking if we are at *** street. I responded and said yes we are, and just about done. Ms*** showed up to the property as I was doing the final adjustments to the sprinkler heads. I took the time to walk through the job with Ms***. I showed her how we connected the pipe to the hose bib. I showed her the valves, and went through all the stations with her, showing her the head placements and coverageI explained to her how to run the battery operated timer. She had good questions, and I answered them thoroughly. She was very satisfied with the work, and told me and my crew what a great job we didThat night, I sent her a text message at 6:45pm saying that if she had other questions about the timer or anything else we would be more than happy to answer them. She never mentioned or asked us to put sprinkler heads on the east side in the backyard where the RV parking was. I had no knowledge of that request. In conclusion, we were shocked about this complaint. We take pride in communicating with our customers directly. We focus on fostering open communication, and work hard at building long term relationships. We have the upmost respect for other landscape companies(we know the one that has worked for her for years), and would never intentionally undercut anyone. Our business model, and more importantly our Faith teaches us otherwise
