I made a purchase through this company online. One I paid within 48 hours after winning the bid the auction house and not contact me ever for shipping. I contacted the listed person by phone and email at least five times with no response. After five weeks I contacted my credit card and canceled/disputed payment given no product was received. After I contacted my credit card company I tried again to contact Cedarburg auction house with no response. Since they did not get their payment despite never contacting me once initial purchase was made this company filed a dispute against me on liveauctioneers.com. This company is completely unprofessional and I would never use them again.

Review: Hired firm to sell belongings after selling house. They overstated by a lot what they could get for the items. Also don't believe some of the items they stated were donated we're actually donated. Plus the hours charged for cleaning out the house were highly exaggerated. Sent them a certified return receipt letter which stated these Facts asking for explanations of everything they never claimed nor picked up.Desired Settlement: Would like explanation and proof of charges. And explanation and proof for the low prices received for items. And compensation if discrepancies are found

Review: Due to the death of my significant other, after 24 very happy years together, in August, 2012, a retired Marquette University Professor of 35 years, I contacted Cedarburg Auction Estate Sales, LLC to liquidate our assets through the process of an auction. They arrived in September, 2012 and from my home, took the items which they could sell at auction. They were very professional, very personable. That day they spent taking my items to sell at their auction, four workers worked over 8 hours packing and doing what they needed to do. I also volunteered for 8 hours helping them pack crystal and fragile items. It was weeks after that I finally received a contract for the items to be sold, over 200 lots. I was charged a fee for the packing and retrieving of the items and an over 40% commission rate, which I did agree to. All is fine and above board. During the packing and in getting the contract and items together for auction, though they were very nice, they were very very disorganized, forgetting items like items for clocks, breaking several items. I felt I had to chase after them, but, be that as it may, as I am not perfect, I accepted this and that was or is not a problem. Not of it was. The auction went well. They made things look nice and had the auction in November, 2012. Most of the items sold. However, some did not. So, they said they would put those items in another auction which they did. They put them in two auctions. I received two checks then, one for, $176 and one for approximately, $80. However, there was NO itemization of what the items were which sold. Nor, was there an itemization of the commission taken out, etc., like they had done when they paid me in December, 2012, after the auction of my auctioned items the month prior. I did call and speak to a [redacted], a very very nice lady who was ever so helpful. I must say the staff was extremely helpful and kind to me. She was not sure what the checks were for and said she would get me an itemization for the checks reflecting what was sold. I never received them and then [redacted] was no longer working there in the spring of 2013. A new [redacted] began working and I contacted her in March or April, 2013. I asked for an itemization of items to be sent me. She said she would get back to me as I told her I was wishing to close out an estate. Months and months went buy and no word from [redacted]. I was told many many times they would get back to me and they never did. I called and called and called. I told them that I had some very expensive items which did not sell, as I had looked at my inventory of the items they gave me and these items were never accounted for. With the say, $300 check, for, approximately, 25 items, this did not cover the total amount of the items I was expecting. I did speak to the owner, “Tarq,” who emotionally exploded at me, telling me, “they would look up this amount and cross check everything but they would NOT give me another dime!” I said to him, HOW could that be if I am owed money, you would not pay me what is deserved, after cross checking what was sold and what was not sold? He hung up on me. Then, [redacted] called me and from May to August, I spoke to her for months as she was “looking” up all this data and could not find my items, even though they were on the inventory. She had NO idea what was sold, nor, where my items were. After four months of this, I left a message telling [redacted] they had one week to get things in order for me and pay me what I was owed or I would contact the police, the Revdex.com and leave a feedback on the internet of my experience with them. Which, was fine up until this point. I even offered to “settle,” for, $300 for the items and sign a statement we were settled and they owned me nothing more since they had lost the records or never took them and could not tell me what had sold, how much they owed me. I never heard back. So, I am in touch with the police in Theinsville and contacting the Revdex.com now. The items they have or sold, which I was not reimbursed for, was a chair from 1830, Chippendale, which I paid, $750 for ten years ago. Also, a gold gilt mirror from 1900, easily valued at, $300. Five Persian rugs, real ones, made by hand, all very largee, 8 x 10 or more, easily, $1000 for all five. And, I am being VERY generous there. And, a sleigh bed made of oak, header and footer, an antique, bought, 24 years ago at the price of $1500. I wanted something from Cedarburg as I could close the estate and I realize prices are low and I am realistic. So, my $300 offer to close this was SO generous. And, ALL these items correspond to my inventory from them as not being sold. They said they sold approximately, 15 other items for the $300 I already received. Now, I would like, $1000 to settle. It is only fair as the items I detailed easily come out to be over, $3000 at a very conservative estimate. If they wish not to do this, then, I WILL take this to small claims court and I will come up with the maximum of, $2500 plus, lawyer and court fees as they I WILL retain an attorney for this. What is right is right. Plus, when I spoke to Tarq last, he threatened me with what I felt would be bodily or physical harm. When I told him I would contact the police, the Revdex.com and write my feedback on the internet of how this at the end took place. Please note, I was paid, $5000 for the items sold in the November, 2012 auction, as with the inventory, everything was fine and correct. NO complaints. ONLY this at the end. Where are my 25 items and where are their accountings and HOW did they pay me nearly $300? What did they base that number off of? So, thousands of dollars of items only sold to give me, $300 after their 45% commission? When I spoke to Tarq the last time, he told me, as he emotionally exploded at me, while I was VERY calm and VERY kind to him, that he would sue and I would be “very sorry” if I did what I said I was going to do. If he did all correctly, why would he say that? And, I felt the tone of his voice was inferring he would cause me physical harm. I could be wrong, but, I felt this and felt afraid. ALL I want is what is owed to me. What I have on their inventory which was NOT accounted for by their accounting practices. When will they give me a correct accounting of what was sold, for how much and what was not sold? As of this date, I have not written any internet feedback reviews of their service. I have only contacted the police and am filing a report and have contacted the Revdex.com. I would like a refund or a restitution of, $1000, however, I am open to some negotiation pertaining to this amount. This is the money I inherited for 24 years of "marriage" and it is mine as I worked for these items with my significant other. I want what is owed me based upon principle and for what is right and of truth. Thank you, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to make a settlement of, $1000 paid to me where I sign a statement upon cashing the check, they owe me nothing more, all is settled economically. In exchange, I will drop any police investigation and not proceed with a small claims court case, court costs, lawyer fees, $2500 and not write the truth of what happened with this on internet feedback reviews. I would like this matter resolved by the 10th of October, as I have waited for a good four months the last time as they 'checked' their records. So, if they can not do that, I will then proceed with the other alternatives outllined, small claims, police, Revdex.com as I have the inventory of what was taken from my house, what was sold, what was not sold, as the inventory shows some 25 items NOT being sold and thus, only receiving $300 for the 25 high value items which was not itemized, as they have NO records, I WILL win the case with the judge at small claims court. I will take off of work here in Stevens Point and travel to Milwaukee for small claims court and I will hire an attorney they will have to pay when they lose. I will do this in honor of my significant other as he is being cheated too and that is not right. He was an educator and dedicated to teaching and helping young minds grow and expand. Who is Cedarburg Auction to take and steal from him and from me? If I can be of any other help or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at anytime. Many thanks. Truly, [redacted]

Response:

I am pleased to respond to the second mailing of [redacted]. As this appears to me a contract dispute rather than a Revdex.com matter, at this time we have referred the matter to our attorney, [redacted]. Attorney [redacted] will be pleased to accept service of process for any court of competent jurisdiction to re solve Mr. [redacted] allegations. Although we respect Mr. [redacted] opinions, we categorically deny any and all of his allegations that Cedarburg Auction & Estate Sales, LLC owes him anything.

Never should have hired Tarq. Known for his anger issues and being a crook. Hint, he has shill bidders at the auction. I have been at his auction, he yells at the audience, intimidates them. He has ripped other people off and been sued. He really needs some counseling.
