Review: I had a three-month and so contract at [redacted] from Feb 21 to may 31 2013. On may 31, 2013, I vacated the unit and returned all keys

to the management office. I also had a walk-through of the unit with the Super on June 3 to make sure the unit was in the right condition upon my vacating. The Super signed-off on the sheet that I filled out upon termination of my lease.

I was promised by the Management Office that I would get my SECURITY DEPOSIT OF $1975.00 after a month of vacating. To this date, I have not received such monies. I followed up with [redacted] via telephone calls & email, but unsuccessful. I have several monthly obligations that I should meet thus I need this security depositDesired Settlement: I need my SECURITY DEPOSIT URGENTLY!

THANK you for whatever ypu could do to get my deposit.

Review: The nature of my complaint is the company failed to provide sufficient documentation and rationale for a security deposit deduction.

Due to unsatisfactory customer service, I decided not to my lease at [redacted]. On May 16, 2013, as I was moving most of my belongings out Super threatened that people do not get a full return on their deposits if the apartment is not cleaned and I can be charged for various infractions if its not. In addition, he told me that the "State" comes in and takes photographs (I have never heard of this before and am unsure to what he is referring). He also provided me with a phone number to a friend who will professionally clean the apartment for me so I will not be penalized. After hearing this, I found several reviews online of the apartment complex where similar complaints were reported.

On May 28th, I returned my keys to the leasing department and expressed my concerns in receiving an unbiased inspection of the apartment. In addition, I emailed the maintenance supervisor. I received an email back indicating they would have a different Super inspect my apartment. Prior to vacating the apartment, I had video recorded the condition in which it was left.

On June 27th I received my security deposit in the mail and it had a $135 deduction. According to the form enclosed with my security deposit, this deduction was a result of a "dirty refrigerator, stove top, dishwasher, and greasy cabinets." These are all areas that were cleaned thoroughly prior to vacating the apartment. In addition, the Super whom first threatened that these areas are "always charged for" was the Super who completed the inspection, although I had been told he would not be doing the inspection.

On June 27th I emailed the supervisor in regards to the $135 deduction and have yet to be provided with a response. I also attempted to call the main office of [redacted] and was told the person I emailed was the only person who could handle my concerns and they would not provide me with the contact information of his boss.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full return of the deposit as I continue to believe the inspection was conducted with bias. I am more than willing to show you the documentation (video recording) which supports this request.

As of today, August 8, 2013, I have not heard from the company. An email was sent on 7/12/13 informing them I had contacted the Revdex.com and they responded that "the charges will not be reversed." I responded asking to meet and review the charges and show the video that I had taken to discuss the discrepancies between the condition in which the apartment was left and the report that was given. No further response from the company had been given since that last email.
