I purchases a small fragrance warmer for my husband's birthday, The price was 19.99 plus tax. He really hadn't used it much at all. When it was plugged up we discovered the cord had shorted out and it had to be unplugged, we didn't pay attention until we left it plugged but touched it to turn it off. It is a touch lamp, low, medium,high and off. This lamp comes on by itself when you tap to off. Because it was purchased in late [redacted], I was told that was too long to expect any. exchange. I wasn't asking for a refund, I just wanted a replacement lamp. I spend quite a bit of money at this business buying candles and fragrances for my family and friends.Had this lamp caught fire and burned up something, that would have been on this business. oh and by the way it does get hot enough to burn things.I think I am due an exchange.Product_Or_Service: Lamp WarmerDesired SettlementAll I want is a replacement burner for a man.Business Response In the 13 years of being in business, we have never had to entertain a complaint that was made to the Revdex.com. From my understanding, this customer came into the store with a burner in a plastic bag. Two employees watched the customer take the burner out of the bag. It was covered in oil including all over the wire. She wanted an exchange. She did not produce a receipt nor original box. She claimed she makes numerous purchases at this store so we should compensate her with something even if it's not with another burner. There are numerous stores in the city of [redacted] that sells burners. On our receipt we have stated no refunds no exchanges and all sales are final. However, we do allow for exceptions if products are accompanied with receipt in hand during a reasonable amount of time. It's been 6 months. Any product has to be taken care of if it is to work properly. It was covered in oil. She has contacted our business a few times with this complaint. In one instance she said it exploded in her hand. She claims "it gets hot enough to burn things." It's a warmer, it gets hot and has instructions on how to use for adults only. If it didn't get hot then she would say it doesn't work. They call it a burner for a reason. Warmers heat fragrances to allow for aroma throughout the environment. On many occasions, we've made exceptions but we cannot take a product back that:1. We don't know if it's ours. Customer does not have a receipt nor original box.2. Product when brought into the store was obviously not properly cared for.3. Customer threatened to report us to the Revdex.com or anyone who would listen if we did not do as she asked.4. It's been 6 months.
