Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/07/20) */
This complaint was really not of my makingI tried to help the customer by taking her to a store I buy granite and helped the customer buy the granite at a reduced priceI also told her that I could take her to the shop where she could
fabricate the stone at a discountI introduced her to the company I have worked with for nnore than yearsI also took her to a home to show her the most recent job they had done for me
There were many types of stonesShe chose "Astrol Coffee" which turned out to be a remnant (some customers buy more than they can use, so they return whatever they could not use) This is sold at a discountShe chose this oneI did not choose it for herAnd she paid for itThey fabricating company picked it up and took it to their shop, fabricated it and took it to the home of the customer so they could install it
She had bought a stainless sink from the same place to go along with the stone
When they tried to install the sink, it could not fit, because they mistakenly brought the wrong sink.So they scheduled to come back and complete the jobWhich they did
The issue became the seamIt could not match all the veins and contours of the two stones they tried to install
The customer wanted us to find a remnant or another "Astrol Coffee" stone so we could match those cotours and veins on the other piece of the stoneI personally went to fabricating shops in the *** *** area to find a remantI could notI told her after a week and a half, that I could not findd a remant or a similar stone for that matterI also told her that I went to the intewrnet and googled "astrol coffee"I discovered, there were more that types of "Astrol Coffee" and that there is not two stones of "Astrol Coffee" that look alike. Some were dark, others were light and others were in betweenSo it is not possible to come up with the stone with similar veins and contours that come close to her satisfaction
The following are the reasons I withdrew from this job:
The customer was indecessiveShe took three week to come up with a decesion on the stone
I was supposed to do her floors in the kitchen, and living roomin the 4th week, she had not even decided on what tile or hard wood floors she wanted to go with
I reserved a week so I could do her job but could not afford to lose another week or weeks
4.My duty in as far as the kitchen was concerned was to take down the old counter tops, and do the plumbing after the stone installationI could not complete the plumbing because the hardware were not bought on timeI even offered to do the plumbing while she was gone on a weekend on a sunday when I was supposed to be with my family but she could not return my TXT massagesShe gave me a key to get into her house but told me she had to leave the alarm on and could not provide me with the code even when I suggested to her that she could change the code after I completed the job
She called the fabricating guys that installed the stone "them *** *** And I could not deal with thisTo me every one is importantI have worked with these guys for years and they are some of the hardest working individuals I have associated myself withAlthough she had told me she has a hot temper, I think this was uncalled for
She threatened to call the immigration on them even though I know they are legally here and are happily married with children
She referred me as "abully"Up to now I still don't understand why I was "abully"
As far as I am concerned, the stone was fabricated and looked fineI really do not have a problemIf she wants me to finalise the plumbing and can trust me to do it, I am more than willing to do it for her including installing that one back splash the guys could not install because we needed to do the plumbing firstBut parts must be in place not running around for partsIt is a waste of timeI can also go back there and repair her wall outletI cannot spend a whole day on some thing that will take a coulple of hours to do
I cannot buy her a new stone because that stone was chosen by herThere were mant typesShe chose that oneI did not chose it for herShe did not even pay the fabricating company and asked me to do it for her
This is the end of my response
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/07/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
*** is telling liesYes, I bought the stone after he told me that he measured it more than once and it will work for my kitchenPeople buy remnant pieces of granite all the timeHe measured incorrectlyI do not know anything about measuring and/or buying graniteHe measured wrong and needs to take responsible for his mistake*** took me to the Fabrication shop after I told him that I was dissatisfied with the the work done on the countertopI never saw ** a day in my life and have no contract with him*** needs to produce contractsAfter he had his guys install the granite in my kitchenI do not know if he personally went looking for graniteI do know that the sink I bought was never delivered to my homeOn *** 30, ** guys installed a sink that still does not fitI was left without a sink and pluming for days at that pointIf that is how they cut the stone, then it is an unacceptable jobI told *** that I did not want the granite in my house and he allowed the guys to glue it to my cabinets anyway*** only wants to do what he wants to do and only when he wants to do itThat is why I told him he is a bullyHe takes advantage id single women"I feel raped" I just want to go directly to where *** said that I referred to ** and his workers as "*** Mexicans" I will never say anything like that but I will say that *** is " a Stinking Liar" I never threatened to call immigration on any oneI do not know anything about ** but *** knows *** *** told me that he cannot finish the job on July On July 13, he told me that ** was filing a lien on my homeThe work is not complete to my satisfactionIt is *** work*** needs to pay his sub- contractorHe hired ** not me*** said that he worked with ** for years I never met the man until his employees messed up my order*** took the order, he gave them directions and no one followed my directives*** got upset when I told him that I will not give him the security code to my house so he can enter my home when I am out of townI told him that rolls of quarters was missing from my a kitchen draw when I left him to lock up my house because I had to go to workI do not trust him in my home aloneHis ego which in my opinion is big enough to fill the grand canyon is hurtHe says that he is a Christian, then he needs to do the right thing and stop telling liesYes I think he is incompetent and that is the reason I never bought materials for the flooring jobsI can make up my mind, I just did not want to choose flooring that *** likesHe also left it up to me to purchase the supplies for the plumingIf I knew about pluming and granite and fabrication then there would be no need to hire ***I do not know what scam he and ** is running on me but I think that they take advantage if single females
