Do not waste your time if you need your photos by a particular date! I “won” a drawing at a bridal extravaganza (to find out later that they give them all away to lure you in so I didn’t actually win a drawing). The booking agent knew my wedding date was June 8 and booked the shoot 5/21 even though there were earlier dates available that I could have made arrangements for. They didn’t tell me that you also have to schedule a viewing appt and then production time takes 4 weeks. So I wasted $120 yesterday on a makeup appt and took 3.5 hours off of work to not be able to get my fiancé’s wedding present in time for our wedding! It’s like a cattle factory where they book “90-minute” appointments back-to-back in an apartment so you really only get about 80 minutes by the time they come down and get you after the previous client. We almost had to skip the 4th outfit but instead rushed through the last two.

My wedding is in 2.5 weeks and I don’t have a gift for my soon-to-be-husband. I called and there’s nothing they can do to expedite without me paying an outrageous fee. And with the fee, they can’t even get me the digital images before my wedding. I’m incredibly disappointed at such an epic let down! Their phone lines have long hold times, it’s difficult to book timely appts, and production takes at least a month. I wish I’d gone with one of the other boudoir offers I got from the bridal show or chosen a photographer that could honor my timeline and availability.

In researching them (unfortunately after the fact) they have numerous complaints filed with the RevDex.com for misleading pricing and other issues. All you have to do is search CYS Reviews to come across LOTS of complaints about it being a scam.

Don’t waste your time or the money for hair, makeup, parking, etc for your “free” shoot and “free” images that you won’t get for a couple of months.

When I first won this at a bridal show I was super excited. My package included the photoshoot, 2 wallets, 5X7 and digital copy of one image plus a $50 in store credit. All I had to do was book the shoot with a $50 deposit which I was told would also be used as a in store credit as long as I showed up. The experience I had with the photographer was amazing. She was so kind and comfortable to work with. Then I had my schudled appointment today to order. The representative that assited me was also so awesome and amazing. She was very helpful and upfront about everything and even helped me out by getting me a great deal. By no means is this a complaint about the employees everyone I talked to was great. HOWEVER, when a service like this requires you to buy the rights of the photos and there is no other option, it is important to post this on your website! I about fell into tears when she told me I am looking at $3,000 order! I am a bride planning a wedding and did not have this money to spend and since I already went through the process it was impossible to just throw it all away and not get anything. I expected to spend $500 on an album but to be told that I have to buy the rights of the photos before I can purchase the product is awful to do to customers. Either post the pricing on the website of the break down of how much the photos will cost (the same paper shown to me by my ordering consultant) or offer to purchase the product without rights. To be honest I will not be giving my referral cards to any of my friends. And I am so thankful I didn’t before my ordering appointment because that is just too much...

Review: I "WON" a $350 gift certificate from the "Wedding Fair" from this company and was told to put down a $100 deposit in case I was a "no show" which, would also go toward any print package - should I wish to purchase any photos. They never told me upfront that it was a non-refundable deposit if I did not want to purchase anything. This was only stated in their email after I had made my appointment and secured my deposit.I scheduled an online "viewing and ordering" session with them to view my photos after the shoot. This is when I was told I would not get my deposit back and that it was written in their "policy", embedded in the email. The pricing of the packages was never made public/available to me until after the photoshoot. The packages were extremely priced upwards of $3000. I was also told that I had to decide right then and there. There was no option to think about my purchase.Had I been told upfront how much the photo packages were, I might have reconsidered doing the photoshoot in the first place. However, because I was told I had "won" - this clouded my judgement. After doing further research I learned that I am not the first person to complain about the shady dealings of this company.Desired Settlement: I would like my deposit back.

Let me start with when I called before even purchasing my [redacted]l Deal. I spoke with someone who quoted me $59 an image and below. That seemed reasonable to me. It turned out that was incorrect and after I asked, the owner said he would be okay with charging me $59 per image.
The session: Photographer was super nice, but seemed very inexperienced. Many of my images were muddy, poorly lit and weirdly cropped (perhaps an editing mistake ?) The other issue with the session is that although the website says it is "personalize" she had standard poses and did not know how to modify them. For example, I have extremely, unproportionately, long legs. One of the poses they typical do requires legs to go in a cert place. For me, this looked ridiculously silly. I tried the pose and was embarrassed when I couldn't make it work. She had no alternate and we just had to move on and skip that area.
The sell: I spoke on the phone for my sales consult. She was not cheerful and mostly silently showed images with a few comments here and there. I am partially glad for that as she did not try to force images on me, but it also made for a slightly awkward conversation. By the end of the consult (which was within the 1.5 hour limit) she seemed annoyed and as if she could not wait to get off the phone. I was sent an invoice later on that was not gone over with me via phone.
The order: I emailed to find out how long the order would take etc. at one point I was told "We'll get that shipped out right away! You should see an email from FedEx shortly." This was sent 7 days before the actual ship date. "Right Away" to most people does not mean "7 days from now" I asked if it was possible to receive the images before the 19th of August. She said yes and shipped out the package on the 14th and told FedEx to deliver it on the 19th. It was then sitting at my local FedEx store 3 miles from my house on the 15th, and they refused to deliver until the 19th even though it was ready. After conversations with a few FedEx employees, I convinced them to allow me to pick up the package.
The product: I opened up my package to receive a print with a bit of tissue paper folded around it and a CD. The print was not mounted perfectly with the board visible underneath, a scratch, and bent edge. On my invoice, I requested that one of the images be a color file, not black and white. Unfortunately, this image came to me as a black and white file. I also discovered that an image I had planned to order and spoke with the consult about ordering, never made it into the final order form, but I didn't notice because I did not have a reference to what the image #'s were and just assumed it would be correct.
They advertise as an all woman staff in order to make people feel comfortable and safe and yet all issues were sent to a male staff member hidden from public view. It is disturbing that women trust their images with an all woman staff and there is a man running the entire business who has access to private images.
I had issues ever single step of the way. My friend who I brought to the session wanted to book a session herself and has since decided against it because of all of these problems. It is honestly a disgrace to the photography world.
