As noted in my previous letter to you on January 7, 2018, the case above was fully refunded in December, and an email was sent to the purchaser to that effectOur records indicate that the gift certificate # *** in the amount of $was purchased on April 21, with a *** ending in ***On December 12, 2017, the same amount of $was refunded to that original form of payment* *** ending in ***In this case, the purchaser listed the recipient email address as the same, which is where the recipient email was sentWe have no control over the email addresses that the purchaser inputs on the certificate system when buying onlineIt is unfortunate that the recipient did not receive an email indicating the changes to the business, however, it is also unfortunate that they are making a claim of cash payment and requesting a refund in that matterSimply put, all electronic gift certificates require a credit card as a payment method, and any refunds are paid to the credit card on fileFortunately, our records show that everything was done appropriately and the full amount was refunded in a timely mannerAs explained in my previous letter, it is important that we respectfully work with our valued clients through this transitionWe hope for the same in return, but that doesn't always happenI have contacted the recipient of this particular case and explained how and when the refund was processedShe thanked me for the informationI hope she will respond to your follow up as wellFeel free to contact me with any questions
