To Whom It May Concern:I appreciate the opportunity to respond to the complaintAs *** *** has indicated the iphone that was brought for a screen repair** *** also states documentation that is in our receipt regarding limited liability when a device is brought in for repairThis is
more than fair policy as our staff reviews this and communicates the reasons for thisAs a repair shop we can only see the physical damage on the surface, unfortunately we can not tell what type of damage that may have occurred internally as these devices are not the most durableIn addition, many customers are not forth coming with all the damages or how the device became damagedIt is well known electronic devices have the potential to have electric shortages via physical damageThis is why phone case manufacturers like otterbox and spigen advertise shock proof cases which protect from these types of issuesThe shortages can not be identified until the device is disassembled which is why our intake form states we can not be responsible for damage that may be internalHowever; I think this situation goes beyond this as the iphone that was brought in was well documented how sever the physical damage was to the casing of the iphone as the metal exterior was significantly cracked on the bottom right side which indicates a sever fall or drop of the phoneWhen we initially installed the screen it was tested which we have documentation as we test every device with a 22pt inspectionThe customer returned shortly after picking the device up and we agreed there was something not rightWe tested additional screens and was getting the same response that were not consistent functionsWe explained to the customer the potential scenariosIn this situation we believe there are of situations that could be occurring; the screen was defective, the casing which was severely damaged and causing a short or via the damage the operating board was damaged with a short via the extreme da mageThe customer was contesting all scenarios because the device was working when it came in but we attempted to explain once you disassemble an electronic device the short could then be expose and cause damageThe customer was very impatient and providing short timelines to figure out the problemWe tested new screens all yielding the same problemthe Technician tested a new screen griping the frame of the device ensuring the crack I mentioned earlier was not separated and full connectivity, at this time the screen consistently workedAgain, the customer was impatient and rushing the processI the owner tried to explain to the customer we cant rush this situation if she wants us to fix the phone properlyShe insisted taking the phone as is, as we explained it was inconsistent touch function and would need more timeShe explained her boss was traveling next week and needed the phoneI requested for her to bring the phone in upon her bossed return and we could tes t new screens to rule out the partsIn addition, we wanted to test the device using a new body or Frame to rule out a short due to the significant damageHowever; the customer has never come back and didn't communicate with us only to find the Revdex.com complaintwe have been open for over years and have never received a complaint via Revdex.com but have had customers who have complained but we always have honored our Limited Lifetiem Warranty which we also communicated to the customerWe repair notes which are required for all repairs and tested checklist that can support my statements abovewe would be more than happy to have the customer come back in so we may perform the appropriate test of new parts and or physical repairs to the frame to ensure the device works 100%
