Review: they kept my iphone 4s and never sent a check as per agreement never answered my calls or emails

Review: I sent HelloTotem two items, an iPhone 4 and an iPad. I was given an estimate for $300 for my devices, and sent my items via their packaging provided to me. They have acknowledged receipt of my items on 11/25/2013 at 3:24 PM EST. Since then, I haven't received my compensation or any news regarding my items. I have made numerous attempts to contact the company via email in the fashion they suggested. I even went as far as trying to contact their owner through another company he runs. HelloTotem has now had my items for over two months and has not provided me with compensation or any form of verbal response to my complaints. I believe this to be a crime since they have my items and have not provided me compensation for them. Their overall customer service is among the poorest I have dealt with.Desired Settlement: I would like to be provided my $300 as quoted by the company, or my items returned to me in the manner in which they were sent. I have heard numerous complaints that when they return items they are in much worse shape than when sent.

Review: Sent two iPhone 4s to this company for purchase.

Company confirmed receipt of iphones. Sent an offer to purchase. Accepted the offer to purchase the two phones at $155/each - total $310 on 11/4. 22 days have passed and the company has not mailed payment for purchase. Company does not respond to inquiries via email or their customer service online system. No phone number provided for company.

You can track the status online using the email I provided earlier in the complaint

Order numbers listed in step 3Desired Settlement: Payment for $310 for the iPhones purchased by Company

Do you have a phone number for this company?

Review: They were going to purchase my 4 Iphones for the price of $675.00 and it has been one month and I have not heard from them via email or phone

They stole 4 Iphones from me I sent them to Totem and the received them on the 13th of August and I have not heard anything from them. I would like to have the money they said they would pay for phones or get my 4 Iphones back ASAP. I have the serial numbers of the Iphones and thinking of filing a police report on the theft of the phones.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my 4 Iphones sent back to me with no damage or the $675.00 they offered me.

Response:

Records show check [redacted] was sent out 9/11/13 to Mr [redacted].

Review: I sent in my iphone after receiving a quote of what they would pay me. I was supposed to receive payment within 48 hrs. It's now been over a month with no response after sending them multiple emails. The phone # they have listed on their site says it's disconnected. They no longer have a record of them receiving my iphone. Basically, they stole my phone without paying me for it.Desired Settlement: I want my money or my phone back.

Review: My complaint regards the offer by this company (doing business as HelloTotem) to purchase my used iPhone. In mid-October I contacted this company, per their advertisements, to get a quote on the purchase of my used iPhone 4s. The phone was in like-new condition and the price quoted for this condition was $210. I accepted and received their postage-paid shipping box promptly and the following day I shipped the phone per their directions to the company. After hearing nothing for two weeks, on October 30 I filed a help desk ticket on their website asking for an update on the payment. I received no answer but on October 31 I received a "template-style" e-mail confirmation from Totem that my phone had been received, stating that "Assuming everything checks out, your payment of $210 will be processed within 48 hours." When no payment and no further communication arrived within the following month, I contacted Totem by e-mail and received no response. I then went back to their website and posted a second help desk ticket. It has now been another ten days and I have received no response. Both tickets show on their website and the notation next to both of them indicates that they have yet to be assigned to an employee for research and response. I can find no phone number on the site and therefore cannot call for a status report. At this point, I do not know if they are engaging in fraud or are simply operating such a poor business that they cannot respond appropriately and make payment in any sort of timely manner.Desired Settlement: I either want payment of the $210 as promised or the return of my iPhone 4s (not any phone, specifically my own phone).

Review: Totem quoted me $125 for my good condition iPhone 4 (16GB, [redacted]) on October 9, 2013 (order #[redacted]). Totem then sent me a box and pre-paid shipping label to mail in my iPhone. FedEx indicates the package was delivered to Totem on November 1, 2013 (tracking #[redacted]). The Totem website also indicates they received my device. However, subsequent to my original quote in October I have heard nothing from the Company, nor have I received any payment for my device. I emailed the Company directly to ask where my payment is, and was directed by autoreply to submit an online ticket. I submitted an online ticket, which still reads: "Awaiting assignment to a support agent." It seems this is a common problem for other customers. I have called the company at the listed phone number; the phone number does not work, it merely plays a message saying "this number is not registered." Given the sheer number of Revdex.com complaints filed against this company, I am concerned that they have stolen my phone and will neither send the quoted payment nor return my phone.Desired Settlement: At a minimum, I believe the Company has a responsibility to either (1) send me the quoted $125 payment, or (2) have my iPhone returned to me in the same condition it was in when I sent it in.

Review: Hello Totem pays customers for used cell phones. They provide online quotes of the value of your phone. They provide a mailer and the customer sends in their phone and they claim to pay their customers with two days of receiving the phone. According to their website, Hello Totem has had my phone for approximately one month.I have not received payment and my emails to them inquiring about my phone have not been answered. I'm concerned that this company is a scam and that I'll never receive payment for my phone. My order # is [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like Hello Totem to pay me for the phone I sent in or return the phone to me.

Review: I was quoted a price on my iphone 4 of 105$ on 3/11/2013 and sent the prepaid shipping box quickly but that's where the customer service just stopped. They received my phone on 3/25/2013 with promises of payment shipments within 48 hours of receiving the device but now I've sent in multiple "tickets" and emails with either no response or an auto responder that just pretty much says they will give the issue over to a "[redacted] who is the Head and in-charge of the issue" (taken directly from their auto response)only to never hear from them again. According to their site I should have received some form of payment by early April and it is now May 9th and I can't even get an email from them. the phone number I found doesn't work and the "chat live" button on their site leads to a glitch so I have found no way of communication with them. Hopefully enough complaints will steer others away from using this company.Desired Settlement: I would either like the agreed upon quote of $105.00 or my phone returned to me in the condition I sent it in at their shipping expense.

Review: This complaint is against HelloTotem.com.

I sent an iPhone 4s using the company provided package using FedEx but never received a payment.

My Totem Order Number is [redacted].

7. 01/17/2014: Sent another notice to the company by clicking on “Support” on the side of their Help section of their web site today.

8. 03/16/2014: Up to this day there has been no response from this Company.Desired Settlement: Please deliver me the $120.00 promised for my phone. It has been over three months since I shipped my phone.

Review: The company agreed to purchase my [redacted] on October 4th, 2013 for $205.00. I mailed the device to them via a prepaid box that they mailed to me. The device was received by Cellular Distribution Strategies on 10/29/13. It went through some sort of review process, was approved, and the payment check was issued on 11/5/13. This was problematic as I had requested payment via [redacted] on the original submittal form. However, I let that go since the check was already, supposedly, on its way. On 11/22/13 I submitted a ticket to their customer service department to advise payment had not yet been received. The response I received was to allow more time for the postal service to deliver the check. On 12/2/13 I submitted another ticket that 4 weeks was sufficient time for a letter to travel from [redacted] and that it was not yet received. It has been in the pending status That ticket remains "awaiting assignment to a support agent." I submitted another ticket on 12/8/13 to update the payment to [redacted] with, again, no response. I then emailed [redacted] (email address [redacted]; address obtained from forum on Totem scams) on 12/12/13 with no response. I also submitted another ticket today, 1/9/14, requesting that they mail the phone back to me if they are unable to pay me.Desired Settlement: Payment of $205 as promised. I would also accept the phone returned to me, so long as it is in the same condition as it was when received by Cellular Distribution Strategies.

Review: The company, a.k.a. Totem, received my [redacted] on 10/30/2013. Totem claims that it sent me a "requote," but I have not received it. They did not respond to my email inquiries nor did they respond to my posting a ticket requesting the "requote" to be resend to me.

In other words, they took my [redacted], but did not send me a payment.Desired Settlement: Return my iPhone back to me.

Review: I mailed my phone to them based on their quote of $95.00 for my used [redacted]. They received the item 11/21/13 based on their website "hellototem.com" My order# was [redacted]. I have not received payment which was supposed to be processed within 48 hours of receiving the phone per their website. I have tried several times to contact them by email through their support system on their website. I have not gotten anything but an automated response on 12/17/13 stating that they had received my email and they were reviewing it. There is no phone number to contact them.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my phone sent back to me or payment of the original quote of $95.00 for the used phone.

Review: I sold my iPhone 4S to this company and received a quote of $155 for the phone. The order # assigned to my sale by the company was [redacted]. The device was received by the company on 11/5/2013 and they notified me on 11/15/2013 that I check was mailed to me. To date, 12/23/2013, I have not received payment. I contacted them on 11/13, 12/4, 12/12, 12/13- all 2013 making demands for payment. I have not received payment as of yet. This is bordering on theft. They have my phone and have not remitted payment.Desired Settlement: I am requesting $155 be remitted to me via check (express mail) or via my PayPal account ASAP

Review: I have been patiently waiting for my payment near a month now and my patience has ran out. I sent the phone to your company a month ago got a response three weeks ago after numerous email attempts and agreed on the quote and its been another three weeks for my payment. Your way of business is unacceptable I already filed a claim with the Revdex.com and there looking into it and to prove my claims I snapshot my records to show your lack off response and negligence of your company.Desired Settlement: 80.00 dollars I will like to receive or the phone back I sent.

Response:

We have reissued the check on 9/20/13 and also emailed the customer.

Review: At the end of August 2013 I inquired to Hello Totem about selling back an iPhone 4 8GB. I received a quote of $75, and accepted, and waited for the box to arrive to ship my phone to them. I received the box, and shipped the phone back in the box provided. I went to check on the status shortly thereafter and it said that they had received the phone, and that a re-quote was sent to me. I never received a re-quote from them, and every time I try to inquire, my emails go unreturned. The phone number that I found for them (###-###-####) on their website is apparently an inactive phone number and I cannot get thru to a live person. I sent emails to the customer service dept., [email protected], on October 11, October 30, then again on 12/11, with various phone calls in between these emails, and have heard back nothing. I have never received this re-quote that they spoke about, and also never received a check, or even my phone back. If they cannot give me the quote that was promised, or even the re-quote, I at least want the device back. My order # with Hello Totem is [redacted]. Someone please assist as this is growing extremely frustrating, I believe this whole company is a scam and they are stealing iPhones from the public. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.Desired Settlement: The $75 quote they promised, or a re-quote to either accept or deny, or my iPhone 4 8GB back.

Review: Cellular Distribution Strategies failed to honor the arrangement for a iPhone 5 that I sold to them for $345.00

On 10/08/2013 I was offered a quote on my iPhone 5 for $345.00. I received a shipping box for my device from the company and sent it to them via [redacted]. Tracking number [redacted]

The company (Cellular Distribution Strategies) received my device on 10/24/2013 and my status is still pending. Their advertised policy states that your payment will be processed within 48hrs of receiving a customers device.

My device and agreement can be viewed by anyone who wishes to investigate by viewing thier site: [redacted] and using my e-mail address as an account lookup: [redacted] My order number is [redacted]Desired Settlement: Honor the arrangement and issue my check for $345.00

Regards,

Review: I sent my iPhone 4S to HelloTotem under the agreement that they would appraise its value and send me a check for $220 in return. My device arrived at Hello Totem on 11/05/13. Totem claims that it processes payment within 24-48 hours, yet I have not received a check, and on the "Track Your Device" page, the status is still "Pending." I have submitted two trouble tickets on totem's support page, but have received no response as to why there is a delay in payment.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is that Totem does the job it agreed to do and deliver a check fro $220 to me. If this settlement cannot be realized, then I want my iPhone 4S sent back to me as soon as possible. I also want a phone call to discuss the delay of service.

Review: I sent the company (HelloTotem) a new phone which they contracted to buy for $200.

I have not received payment. Numerous attempts to contact them have been unsuccessful. They have not responded.

Order # [redacted] Phone: new HTC One

Quoted amount: $200

Fedex tracking# [redacted] Phone delivered to company in San Diego on December 20,2013

check should be delivered to: [redacted]Desired Settlement: I wish a check be delivered to the following address as originally agreed upon. [redacted]

Review: Mailed my near mint iphone 4s to them in October of 2013. They quoted my $175. It's April of 2014. Still waiting on a even just a response from the company... Oh they're punctual about sending you an empty box to mail your phone to them. In fact, I tried submitting another request and within days they sent me prepaid box in the mail. Although, they will not answer any emails. Their twitter account is deactivated. Now it looks like their site is down. These guys were recommended in a [redacted] post article, then author edited the article while my device was in transit. How is this company still even in business? [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want the quote I was promised or my exact phone returned in the condition it was received. I want this company to shut down and everyone who fell victim of this scam to get their money back.
