I just wanted to say that I have owned my home now for almost years and lived in the Myrtle Beach area for I have a home buyers warranty on my home and that is how I met Mark, because they sent him out on the first request for my a/c unit which was not working properly at the timeHe did have to come out a few times BUT, it was NOT because he didn't know what he was doing, it was because he can only look for and try to diagnose the problem you describe in your request through the warranty companyHe took me step by step, the VERY FIRST TIME, and explained everything VERY thoroughly and that the fact was that the seller of my home got away with "fixing" the a/c AND air handler enough for it to last a little while, enough to sell the home and have it pass inspectionThat being said he was able to get both my a/c and air handler, both went out at the same time in February, through my home warrantyHe has always been professional and I would NOT TRUST ANYONE ELSE!! He has also done all my repair work on the outside and inside of my homeHe and his wife are very personable and will not try to make you spend money when and/or where you don't need to!! I have used Mark now for everything I can and that says a lot when you can trust someone to do the job right...especially here in Myrtle Beach!! Even while he is doing any work for you he will send you pictures to keep you updated on everything if you cannot be there to see what is going onAGAIN, I WILL NOT USE ANYONE ELSE BUT HIM!! He is a really great guy and very easy to work withI bring his name up when people say they are wanting work done on their home and I show them pictures of stuff he has done!!

I live in Myrtle Beach and had issues with my HVAC system this past summer for over monthsI had a Home Warranty through 2-Home Warranty and Pontillo Home Services is who they sent out to our house several times
They came out and thawed out my coil and added more freon and said we were good to go
It wasn't but a couple of weeks and the AC was out again and 2-sent Pontillo out again and after me challenging them they finally checked the coil to find that it was leakingAfter or weeks they finally came to replace the coilThe AC ran for another week then went out again
When I called Mark's Wife was very rude to me on the phone like it was my fault they couldn't get my AC repaired properlyThe truth is, that Pontillo Home Services does small painting jobs, tile repair, build small storage sheds and paints Mobile homesThough he apparently has an HVAC license, I definitely don't feel they have a clue what they're doing in regards to HVAC
LONG STORY SHORT, after I fired them I had Beach Air come out and they immediately found that the CONTACTS in the outside unit was burned and they were stuck closed
If Pontillo were a qualified HVAC Contractor he would not have to resort to doing handyman services
BEWARE!!!!

in June , I hired Pontillo Home Services to install a laminate flooring in my home
My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome with the quality workmanship performed by Mark and his workersThey were very professional and courteousI would recommend Pontillo Home Services for any homeowner looking to remodel their homean A-job from an A-crewBy the way , Marks estimate was very competitive from other home improvement buisnesses in the areaWe are already making up a future list of needed renovations for Pontillo Home Services
Mark also stated to us that he does HVAC preventative maintenance and installs

To start, I would just like to inform you that I never write reviews but, this one was a must!
My husband and I had just purchased a new home 6 months ago. Come winter time, our heating system broke and I called a local HVAC service (85$) who didn't bother to fix the unit but, instead tried to sell us a new one. I never called them back due to them trying to swindle me into thousands of dollars and not even bothering to diagnose the issue. I turned around and called our home buyers warranty service to send another service out. They came to our home and told me to take out all my in-floor vent filters to release the pressure build up and that should fix the problem (75$ Service fee) . Days later, with cold air still blowing out from the vents, I called our home buyers insurance again and had them send the same guy back. Again he came out and attempted to fix the problem and twiddled around with the unit (let out what he claimed to be excess frion causing the problem). Three days later and aggravated with my unresolved cold air blowing heater I called our home buyers again. This time I asked for them to send a different repair service to come out. Mark [redacted], owner and operator of Ponillo Home Service, called me a hour later and set up an appointment for the next morning. The next day Mr. [redacted] thoroughly investigated our system (inside and out for hours) and afterwards took me step by step in explaining all the issues he came across. He went behind the other service men who left loose wiring and tightened everything back up. He explained what needed to be done and with my approval he ordered the faulty TX valve that he came across which was the source of our problem. It took a while for the part to ship and he kept me updated via phone calls on the order reassuring me he had not forgotten about me. When the part arrived Mr. [redacted] was here the very next morning to replace it. After the replacement, he had me check to make sure everything was working up to my satisfaction and even stayed longer to make sure the system wouldn't fail. While waiting, he took the time to wash our heater of all the grim and corroded material inside that had built up over the years. Then he took me out to show me all the debris that had washed away and show me the insides of our corroded outdoor units and how bad they were rotting from the salty air. Clearly, and with my own eyes, I could tell the 2 units had not been serviced since they were installed. I had been ignorant to the fact of servicing units every year myself. [redacted] went through all the details of what his yearly service consisted of and gave me a VERY reasonable estimate. I was happy to purchase his yearly service and he took the time out to clean the other upstairs unit as well. Since that day Mr. [redacted] has come back to check on my heating system and has called to make sure it was working properly. The home buyers insurance covered all the cost and we didn't have to pay a dime for it. I later learned he specialized in other areas of home services as well, like bath and kitchen remodeling as well as any handyman work. Since then, I have had Mark come back on several occasions to fix broken land scape lighting, faulty shower doors, electrical issues, broken grout, etc. If it's broken.. Let's just say HE can FIX it! I have never been so happy to have found someone so dependable, trustworthy and for the best reasonable prices. If you ever find your self with a broken HVAC system he is the man to call!!! You will NOT be swindled and will get the best quality of service that is out there. In the future, I will be using Mr. Mark [redacted] for all of our home repairs.
