Cellular Rescue and Repair Reviews (1)

I went in due to a faulty volume down button on my iPhone 5 (a phone 5 months old) and they took my money to order a part. Which was fine, however, after waiting a week to get back in they took 3 hrs to complete a 45 min replacement, in theory. However, I got a call that they couldn't fix it, in fact, they broke it further, now neither of my volume buttons work, and they still took 20.00 for a "bench fee" Which when I asked what they did since the volume up button worked BEFORE they had it, they got overly irate about it and started to yell at me. This is absurd! When the "man" fixing the phone said he doesn't even like taking in iPhone because they are crap. Well that didn't stop him from taking my money and breaking my phone further.Product_Or_Service: replace the volume DOWN button on iPhone5Desired SettlementI don't care if it's a refurbished iPhone5, but it is utter ** that my phone worked better going in then when it came back to me, and that I was STILL charged for a bench fee on a product that he didn't bother to tell me he didn't want to take in, and then to turn around and yell at me!Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] OwnerContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@gmail.comThis guy is the textbook problem customer. There was no pleasing him..He came in to order the part we told him 3-5 days to come in. He informed us that was fine that he was out of town for a week. He came in Sat. loud and belligerent, using profanity in front of other patrons. Upon talking to him.he informed me that the power button had already been replaced. Now his volume keys didnt work. I guess he didnt know that the volume keys are on the same flex cable as the power switch. Meaning the volume keys had been replaced as well I told him 2 hrs. to fix which set him on a rant. My biz is first come first serve..he showed up 2 hrs, before closing..I inspected the phone and found vol. keys NOT to be working at all. I put 3 New OEM flex cables on his phone ..none worked..indicating a mainboard issue. I turned down $300 in other repairs while tryin to fix his phone. He indicates that the phone is 5 months old..if so.he is still under [redacted] I feel he tried to scam us. He signed a work order that states any extensive time spent will result in a bench fee of $25. Work order signed by him is on file.He left the store cussing. My CSR was gone to lunch and informed me that as she was returning..this guy reversed back into the lot and exited his vehicle..approached her and begin to make threats while shaking hios finger in her face. the police are aware of it. There will be NO Resolution from CRR. and he is banned from entering the premises.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)There were no other customers present during the course of this interaction. The owner is mistaken I told him the HOME button had been replaced. I was only loud when the owner started berating me and returned the phone to me in worse condition than he received it. He quoted me 4 pm when I was there at 11:15 am. I had not left the premise before his assistant showed up. I yelled at her saying that it was a terribly ran business and I not anyone I know would ever go there. I had my phone evaluated by apple on Tuesday August 13 at 6 pm (earliest time) which they informed it would be a fix costing 229.00. Two weeks later I was in [redacted] and had my phone fixed at iPhone clinic the same location which fixed my home button. They fixed the initially reported damage and the damage caused by this store owner to a total of 86.00 (the fix entailed replacing all flex cables, NOT the main board). The store owner should not be entitled to any money as the issue was only made worse by this store due to his unfamiliarity with apple products all lost time should be his own responsibility.Final Business Response In regards to the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted],Cellular Rescue & Repair's position on this matter remains unchanged. In the event CRR didn't make ourselves clear enough the first time, let us reiterate, THERE WILL BE NO RESOLUTION OR REIMBURSEMENT IN THIS MATTER. Furthermore, [redacted] is barred from Cellular Rescue & Repair for as long as it continues to operate. Failure to comply will result in Ms.[redacted] being removed from the property and charges being filed.Upon reviewing [redacted] complaint, it is obvious that this is a matter of hurt feelings more so than about the repair of a cellphone. [redacted] is upset that his attempt to scam CRR has been met by a disposition that was unfavorable to him. His device was returned to him in the exact same condition as it was brought in. He contends that his phone was "only 5 months old" and admits that he has had 2 major repairs performed, oddly enough, all pertaining to the buttons on the phone. Logic would indicate that either it is a defective device or it has been subjected to neglect . His reluctance and unwillingness to take advantage of the standard 1 year warranty supplied by the manufacturer suggests the latter to be true. [redacted] complaint is entirely self helping..freely quoting prices of repairs and the time it takes to make repairs, almost as if he were actually in the field of electronics repair himself. CRR finds it odd that with such extensive knowledge and experience, that he has never heard of a bench fee. CRR is a business..if time and resources are spent, compensation is owed. Nowhere is it stated, posted, or implied, that CRR practices 'we fix it or its free" nor a money back guarantee. The original work order signed by [redacted], agreeing to the $25 bench fee is on file.CRR feels that Mr.[redacted] has gone to great lengths to tarnish the reputation of CRR. He has reported his hurt feelings to various entities in hopes of harming CRR. The position of CRR is that [redacted] false and malicious accusations cannot be retracted, so there is no reason to resolve the issue. As of August X XXXX, CRR celebrated 1year in business.a huge milestone for a small business. In that year, our revenue reports indicate a sum in excess of $125, 000. CRR has shown steady increase in revenue every month since opening, despite the efforts of [redacted] to prove otherwise. CRR has taken into consideration the revenue reports along with the single lone unfounded complaint in a year.to be a huge success. There will be no more time spent on this matterSincerely, [redacted]Owner and Master TechCellular Rescue & Repair(XXX) XXX-XXXX
