Mr. [redacted] hired A-OK Foundation Repair  to do foundation work on a 78 yr old pier and beam wood structure located at [redacted] in March 2016. I explain to all customers that a pier and beam structures may need additional beams or reinforcements.  A-OK Foundation...

was hired to re-elevate and if needed, reinforce and underpin the structure.  The foundation work was completed on March 17, 2016. A third party engineering firm provided an engineer’s report, dated March 17, 2016, after making a site visit for the foundation underpinning and agreed that the job was completed. I have attached a copy of that report.  A-OK Foundation Repair was paid the balance owed after the job was completed.A-OK Foundation does provide all customers a “free” adjustment to be completed within  the 1 yr. warranty.   The evaluation can be done and this would need to be scheduled with foreman [redacted] @ [redacted]. Once an evaluation is done we can schedule a time and date for adjustments, if needed. It is recommended that no improvements be started within the first 6 months after completion of foundation repair.  It is my understanding that  Mr. [redacted] had installed a new shower and has seen some cracking.  This could be due to plumbing issues, which were evident prior to foundation repair, so a plumbing test would be suggested.  Mr. [redacted] did not give A-OK Foundation the opportunity to rectify this issue before going straight to the Revdex.com with his complaint and accusation of elderly mistreatment.   If the foundation repair had not been completed, the engineer report would have stated as such.  Mr. [redacted] then had a new skirt  installed.  Hopefully Mr. [redacted] waited the suggested 6 months before any remodeling was done. [redacted] , my superintendent, [redacted], my foreman and myself have all tried to contact Mr. [redacted] without success. We are in the process of retrieving phone records to prove the amount of phone calls made and received.  Since we had difficulty reaching Mr. [redacted] on a consistent basis, I suggested to Mr. [redacted] that  all correspondence be done via email. The below picture from Google maps was taken after the foundation work was completed and Mr. [redacted] hired [redacted] to install the skirting. Skirting wouldn’t be installed prior to completion – only after.  A-OK Foundation Repair has and will continue to stand by its work.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  Mr. [redacted] hired A-OK Foundation Repair  to do foundation work on a 78 yr old pier and beam wood structure located at [redacted] in March 2016. I explain to all customers that a pier and beam structures may need additional beams or reinforcements.  A-OK Foundation was hired to re-elevate and if needed, reinforce and underpin the structure. I will call [redacted] again TODAY – will he answer this time?It is recommended that no improvements be started within the first 6 months after completion of foundation repair.  It is my understanding that Mr. [redacted] had installed a new shower and has seen some cracking.   It is recommended that no improvements be started within the first 6 months after completion of foundation repair     REALLY??   Gosh, it would have just saved me oodles of problems if you had mentioned that at any point in time while you and I were scheduling what days your crew would be there and what days were free for the remodeling crew and then the painters It is my understanding that  Mr. [redacted] had installed a new shower ummm – yes you should understand that since the bathroom remodeling crew was on site at the house for the last two days that your crew was on site,  and the bathroom tile was stacked on the driveway the last day that you were at the site – guess you just “missed” itThis could be due to plumbing issues, which were evident prior to foundation repair, so a plumbing test would be suggested.  Thanks for the heads up, I will keep that in mind Mr. Mr. [redacted] did not give A-OK Foundation the opportunity to rectify this issue before going straight to the Revdex.com with his complaint and accusation of elderly mistreatment.     The only way to politely categorize that statement is to quote British Prime Minister [redacted]: "There are three kinds of lies: lies, [redacted] lies, and statistics."  I would place that statement in the second category.   I have phone and text records as well – which show over 30 unanswered phone calls/texts to [redacted]      [redacted]       [redacted]     [redacted] made between June 2016 and March 2017  Mr [redacted] gave A-OK Foundation over 30 chances to rectify this issue prior to filing this complaint – Mr [redacted] just ignored each and every one of them.  That was his choice and he cannot claim otherwise. Mr. [redacted] then had a new skirt installed   Yes I did because Mr [redacted] said that he had “missed” needed repairs when he did the original estimate and that the front fascia skirt had to be torn out to repair the area damaged area that he had “missed”  That was an ADDITIONAL $1600.00 above the $12000.00 amount paid for the levelling.  Yes, Mr [redacted] then had a new skirt installed by [redacted], your foreman, and your crew Hopefully Mr. [redacted] waited the suggested 6 months before any remodeling was done. and It is recommended that no improvements be started within the first 6 months after completion of foundation repair     REALLY??   Gosh, it would have just saved me oodles of problems if you had mentioned that at any point in time while you and I were scheduling what days your crew would be there and what days were free for the remodeling crew and then the painters[redacted] , my superintendent, [redacted], my foreman and myself have all tried to contact Mr. [redacted] without success. We are in the process of retrieving phone records to prove the amount of phone calls made and received.  Since we had difficulty reaching Mr. [redacted] on a consistent basis, I suggested to Mr. [redacted] that  all correspondence be done via email. [redacted] , my superintendent, [redacted], my foreman and myself have all tried to contact Mr. [redacted] without success  We are in the process of retrieving phone records to prove the amount of phone calls made and received.   Ummmmmm – so evidently the actual physical address here the company performed physical work over multiple days totaling over $14000.00 in billing totally escaped their minds?  After all of these “repeated attempts” – which don’t exist since my phone records record all incoming calls – nobody could drop by the former job site and leave a note in the mailbox?   Or go daringly hi-tech and MAIL A LETTER TO THE ADDRESS THEY HAVE ON FILE?  The address where they had previously THEY MAILED THEIR BILLS FOR WORK DONE? That excuse is lamer than a crippled duck with a clubfoot Since we had difficulty reaching Mr. [redacted] on a consistent basis, I suggested to Mr. [redacted] that all correspondence be done via email. Gee, that’s funny, I have lived in the exact same location at [redacted] on a consistent basis since 1979, and that address has had postal service with a real mail box on a consistent basis for the same period of time, and I have had the same cell phone number on a consistent basis right up until January 2017, and I have STILL have kept the same email address [redacted]  on a consistent basis for the last 10.5 years.  Perhaps Mr [redacted] has confused me with “Where’s Waldo” Make that “lamer than a crippled duck with TWO clubfeet and a congenitally deficient sense of balance” but I am just really tickled that Mr [redacted] mentioned the email thing since I am a schoolteacher and ALL email sent or received by myself is archived for 7 years by law.  I would love love love to show anybody the “Search returned no results” screen that occurs when [redacted] is typed into the system with the filter set to “May 01 2016 to present”It is the responsibility of Mr [redacted] to contact the homeowner to arrange for the appointment to perform the final adjustments that he promises when he takes the job Mr [redacted] admits that he didn’t talk to me by phone - he didn’t email me (all emails sent to me are archived) – he didn’t mail a letter through the US Post Office – and that his selective amnesia was so great that he could not leave a “Mr [redacted] – please contact me at XXX-XXXX for readjustment appointment” note in the mailbox of an address he had on file and had physically been to.  The below picture from Google maps was taken after the foundation work was completed and Mr. [redacted] hired [redacted] to install the skirting. Skirting wouldn’t be installed prior to completion – only after.   and I was advised by [redacted] to install the skirting and I did.  That in no legal way, shape, or form implies that I considered the levelling job to be completed. I was acting on the advice given to me by your employee.   So your point is….........?A-OK Foundation Repair has and will continue to stand by its work. Great! – At what day and time will the crew be there?  Please text me at [redacted] so I can be there
Regards,
[redacted]
