Celso's Gardening Services Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Mr. [redacted] still misses the point. He offers no resolution. I am would like to add that he keeps referring to information that is not correct but I am not going to engage in name calling. My wife and I are happy with our floor. We were unhappy about the process to get it. I have been an attorney for 34 years and judge now for over two. I was a pro tem small claims commissioner for fifteen years of that. What I need to know as a pre-cursor to expensive litigation is whether Mr. [redacted] wants to submit this matter to mediation or not. I think the scenario speaks for itself as to who is liable.
Regards,
[redacted]

Dear [redacted],
First off [redacted] you are missing the obvious here. You thought when you
hired your flooring person you were getting a deal! You went cheap when
you hired these people, and you got exactly what you paid for. You even
conveyed to me that you should have hired the well-known company you
had a bid from, but his price was considerably higher. Maybe, there was a
reason for it, like the quality of the services provided. The result was you
went cheap, and you got exactly what you paid for; a big hassle. Now you
are trying to pass the buck on my company.
[redacted], look at the source of your problem. Obviously taking 8 months to
complete a $12,000.00 job, the inconveniences to you and your family,
and a your wife stated, a very unsatisfactory finish, point directly at the
actual problem. You even conveyed your unwillingness to acknowledge
this person if you saw him on the street. Doesn't this create a red flag in
your thinking? It sure would in mine. I know it's hard to think the floors
need to be repaired after they were just done. However, if they were done
by a professional flooring company in the first place we wouldn't be
having this conversation. The tape we u ed on your project I not the issue
here. If I felt even the slightest responsibility here I would pay to have
your floors redone in a heartbeat. That's the way I have run my company
for over 35 year . In your case I feel we are victim to a faulty flooring
application.
The tape we used was the correct product. I adamantly refute your
assumption that the tape was the problem. The problem undeniably was
the application, so many coats were applied that the top never cured
correctly. That is why the floors look solid black instead of a stained look
with the grain showing like they should. Ask your wife. She agreed 100%
with my synopsis: coats and coats of stain and a flooring job gone bad.
The flooring company I had at your home for a econd opinion heard
exactly what I conveyed to you and your wife, and he concluded the same
thing. When you mentioned that we used blue tape at that Saturday
meeting I corrected you and said we used the blue and orange tape 3 M
2080EL for delicate and gentle surfaces. Both tapes should have worked
perfectly with no problem, because they are both low tack tapes. The
regular blue tape can be left on any surface for 20 days. The tape we used
is even more gentle and has a 60 day clean removal, ideal for hardwood
floors, taping on wall covering, and freshly painted surfaces (24 hours
old).
While I completely empathize with you and your family over the flooring
problems you have encountered, I am not trying to alienate you as a
customer, but by your admission you said more than once that you made a
bad decision in your flooring contractor choice. It is not difficult to
understand the real reason for your flooring problem [redacted], simply look at
the origin of your decision making.
Sincerely,
[redacted] II, President
King of the Painters Co. Inc

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Mr.  [redacted] omits the one critical fact.  I did not a bubbled and peeled surface on my stairway before he perform his work.  After he performs his work, I now need $1,600.00 worth of repair to the stairway surface. He is responsible.  The national association of flooring contractors states on their web site to never use blue painters tape on polyurethane flooring because it will remove that surface.  It is a known caution.  Mr.  [redacted] chose to ignore the advise.  His workers also continued to remove the tape even when they noticed it was damaging the surface. They should have stopped so that remedial measures could have been taken to prevent further damage, instead they pulled the tape off of each step.
Is a mediation a possibility?
Regards,
[redacted]
