Celtic Property Management Reviews (6)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meI refuse to continue going back and forth with this company further turning it into a he said/she said case. I have reached out to ComEd multiple times to resolve the situation, was informed the landlord should have called to ensure the utilities were back in their name after we cancelled our services, and finally took care of it myselfI stand by my comments regarding Celtic Property Management and their underhanded way of doing businessI truly never expected Celtic to properly handle the situation or take care of the issues they created, but rather I hoped to enlighten Revdex.com to the unethical practices that take place in this company and to forewarn any future tenants who may be interested in renting a Celtic property.
Sincerely,
Alicia ***

Celtic Property Management has done absolutely nothing to slander this tenant's name. Until she contacted our office, several months after vacating the unit, we were unaware that any situation even existed. While we understand that she is angry, unfortunately, this is not a circumstance that we created nor assisted with. Blaming Celtic and attempting to discredit our business is not called for. In addition, perhaps providing our office with a copy of any billing she received would have been helpfulTo date, she has not provided us with any evidence that there are any outstanding bills, nor have we been contacted by ComEd.In the tenant's response, not once did she mention contacting ComEd to refute out claims that she never removed her name from the service nor the fact that a 3rd party is unable to put the electric service into the name of someone else. Wasn't that the original Revdex.com complaint? As we stated, our office contacted ComEd, not once but twice to investigate exactly what transpired and we stand by our original response to this tenant

In all fairness to this tenant, Celtic Property Management contacted ComEd twice with regard to this matter.  On both occasions we were provided with the same information.  At the time, the tenant vacated the unit, they DID NOT contact ComEd to terminate the service in their name. ...

The tenant is welcome to contact ComEd herself and confirm this information.  Celtic Property Management is not responsible to put utility services into or out of our tenants names.  That is strictly the responsibility of each tenant.  In addition, we were advised by ComEd that it would be impossible for Celtic, had the tenants removed their name from the service, to put it back into the name of the tenant or anyone else's name.  The only name we could put the service into was that of Celtic Property Management.  All this information is available and can be confirmed by simply contacting ComEd at 800-334-7661.When speaking to ComEd, we did advise them that the tenant had vacated the unit as of 2/28/17 and that the power should have been terminated in the unit.   Contrary to the tenant's claim, we DID NOT have a new tenant move in until August 14, 2017 as we were renovating units and wanted to fill those vacancies first. I have attached evidence of this current lease (with names and signatures removed for the privacy of our new tenants).  Celtic will work with ComEd to provide documentation of the tenants lease term. With regard to the tenants complaints about work orders, all work orders submitted were completed and the tenant fulfilled her lease. While we understand that this tenant is angry about the situation, as would we, it would have been much more productive to simply call or email our office and explain the situation.  We could have done a conference call with ComEd at that time and confirmed the tenant's information and resolved the situation in a matter of minutes..  Instead, the prior tenant contacted our office and spoke in an aggressive and rude manner, swearing multiple times at a new employee who didn't even work in our office during her tenancy.  Often times, although angry, it's easier to resolve a conflict with an open mind, rather than assuming the worst.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. It was my experience that Celtic Property was far more cooperative than [redacted] in this matter and I always found them to be more at fault. It was [redacted] who failed to have someone there when I was there the first time. And at least once when they coordinated with CelticI have confirmed that billing for that address has been discontinued since someone else moved in.  I will never rent another apartment in Kansas City where I have to deal with [redacted]. They are extremely inflexible and uncooperative.
Regards,
[redacted]

I have helped Mr. [redacted] to get all this straightened out. I even called [redacted] myself to schedule service turn off at the unit when they moved out. They as of today they have not called me.The reason why I need [redacted] to call me is because we do not have an Office at that Property, we manage it from...

the corporate office and I cannot have a Maintenance guy sitting there all day waiting on [redacted] to come.In the past [redacted] has called 30 minutes in advance when they are turning a service on, that is why they have my personal number to have easy access to reach me any time. Also this unit is currently occupied and the service should not be in his name any longer.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/01/06) */
The property that Mr. [redacted] is asking for in regards to his security deposit had been turned over to another management company by court order due to a pending foreclosure of the property. Due to this process, all the rents and security...

deposits are now be handled by the new management company. We know Mr. [redacted] has been unsuccessful in obtaining his security deposit from the new company and we will refund it to him. We will then go back to the management company and try to be compensated for the security deposit. Please have Mr. [redacted] contact our office for his security deposit.
