CEMA Reviews (2)
They rip people off. They charge whatever they like. We stopped using stuff in our place and got charged more than the month before. We are not allowed to have peco.nobody cares.
Review: CEMA is the energy provider for the apartment complex where I currently reside, [redacted] I just received a billing statement that says I have a past due amount and a late charge. However, I did not receive an energy in this past month, and I even voiced it to my boyfriend. I said, word for word, "I wonder if I'm going to get a bill this month because I haven't gotten one in the mail yet." I called the number on the bill and asked for an explanation on why I would be charged a late fee when I didn't receive the bill in the first place. There is no online way to pay the bill, so the paper bill is the only contact I have with the company. They don't even send out emails to customers. When I called, the guy (Brett) was extremely rude and even hung up on me after I asked him to please listen and let me speak. He kept interrupting me when I tried to explain the situation. I have no problem paying my bills; I pay every single one that comes to my door. My issue is the late charge. This situation could affect my credit, which is what I tried to explain to him before I was hung up on. He said that he doesn't care if I pay the bill, but the amount isn't changing. So, I promptly went online to find contact information for someone I could contact instead, hopefully someone with better people skills, but I found no one. Not even a business address that isn't a P.O. Box. The company should have more than just one person answering the phone and more than one person handling customer issues. I asked to speak with someone else, he said, "No. You're speaking to him." I don't want to be associated with ANY company that treats people this way.Desired Settlement: All I wanted from the beginning, was at least a notation on my account to remove the late charge. No matter how small the charge, it affects my credit, which is more important to me than some rude person answer a company's only contact number. I want the late charge removed from my account because a paper bill is the only option for payment. There is absolutely no online/electronic communication. It makes no sense. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.
