In response to *** ***'s complaint, we are obliged to set the record straight We were engaged to inspect houses for hail damage for *** *** on 06-09-16, at *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ***The first property showed no signs of
hail damage and we recommended no claim be filed The second property showed extensive damage to the roof, gutters, paint, window beads, deck and exterior screens We recommended he file a claim with his carrier, *** ***, who met us at the property and concurred with our assessment on 06-12-(see attached scope of insurance repairs from *** ***).We did not hear back again from *** *** until 09-27-16, after multiple attempts to reach him At that point, he contracted with us to complete a limited scope of repairs for the roof only, at the roof scope delineated in his insurance paperwork (see attached contract) He specifically excluded all other work, to include his deck, gutters, window beading and screens, as he was going to repair those items himself or find other contractors to complete As part of our contract, we upgraded his roofing product at no additional cost from a year dimensional shingle to a lifetime, class impact-resistant shingleAfter several scheduling delays due to his family commitments, we completed his roofing project on 11-05-and it passed final inspection with *** County on 11-29-(see attached closed permit). When we invoiced *** *** for payment, he indicated that we had not yet repaired the damaged screens at the rear of his property, as per the insurance scope While it constituted a contract change, we were happy to send out a sub-contractor to complete those repairs The screen repairs were completed per scope on 01-04-and we were billed the following week on 01-11-(see attached sub-contractor receipt) *** *** paid his invoice to us, which was comprised of roof replacement and screens, from his total insurance proceeds from *** ***, having assumed responsibility for repair/replacement of any items outside of our scope of repairs to complete for him We received payment from him shortly thereafter and closed his file complete and paid in full on 01-17-17.In April, we received a perplexing call from *** *** inquiring when we were going to complete the replacement of all of his screens After researching the file, we sent a project manager out to his property to ensure that that screens in our scope of repairs had, in fact, been replaced per our billing They had The project manager explained that fact to *** ***, who was quite upset, positing that we had agreed we would replace all of his screens Not only do we have no documentation from his carrier that any additional screens were damaged at the time of our contract, but we have nothing on our contract or anywhere else in our documentation to support his assertion Furthermore, we never billed *** *** for anything outside the scope of the repairs we completed for him, as previously authorized by his insurance carrier, *** ***. At that time, we offered to create a bid for him to replace any other screens, as well as any other projects he wanted He refused. Since that meeting, we have received numerous calls and several complaints on various social media sites alleging the same thing Had Cenco failed to complete the scope of repairs as contracted, we would have already corrected the problem Had *** *** been incorrectly billed for work not completed, he would have already been refunded any money with our apologies Neither of those things happened. However, if *** *** has changed his mind and would like an estimate for replacement of additional screens outside the scope of our original contract, we are happy to provide him with those figures right awayOtherwise, we cannot see a basis for his complaint regarding the work we contracted to complete for him that was finished and closed in early January of this year Thank you for your attention to this matter

I am rejecting this response because: no project manager ever spoke with me. Nor have they replaced any screens - let alone 2. I’ll never recommend Cenco to anyone of my family or friends. They’re highly unprofessional and the response clearly shows that. They should share pictures of what screens they replaced to prove the fact. I’ve replaced the screens myself recently and can show them with pictures.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
