Cenco Transmissions Reviews (5)

Review: Cenco made some repairs to my vehicle and when it was not fixed and I brought the car back to them (since all of the work was under warranty) they held it for over a week, they didn't even look at it and they refused to give me back my car. I had to call 911 in order for cenco to release my car to me. They had horrible attitudes when ever I called to check on the status of my vehicle and even left me on hold for over 20 mins. Cenco claims that they are busy with new repairs but that shouldnt leave my card being pushed further and further back when I hasve already paid for the services and for my car to be running.Desired Settlement: I just want my car to be fixed properly so that I no longer have to do business with them. If something is not fixed properly the first time, I should be able to use my warranty and have my car returned to me in a timely manner without waiting a week being car-less and it not having been looked at.

Review: On May ** 2014, my car was towed to Cenco Transmission to be repaired due to a known recal where coolant leaked into transmission from the raidiator, causing transmission failure. When my car was brought into Cenco for repair, I spoke with the [redacted] of the store [redacted] he ran a diagnostic on my vehicle confirmed that coolant leaked into the transmission from the radiator. I advised him that a diagnostic was done at the Nissan Dealership in [redacted] and they said the same. I asked for a cost to fix the vehicle which I was originally quoted $1500 for the repair of my vehicle and I was told I could pick my vehicle up July **, 2014. I was told the raidiator did not have to be replaced that it would be flushed & parts of the transmission needed to be fixed. When I arrived on 5/**/2014 to pick up my vehicle, the price given on 5/**/2014 of $1500.00 to complete the repair was not the price of the invoice, there had been an additional $800 for unauthorized services that were added to the invoice (totalling $2365)at the time of pickup . After speaking with the shop [redacted], "[redacted]", via telephone he adivsed the [redacted], to [redacted]e deductions to my bill. My bill was now $1675, I informed [redacted] that I could not pay that amount because I was told $1500 for the complete repair. [redacted] then advised I could pay $1475 on 5/**/14 and come back in 2 weeks on May **, 2014 to pay the remaining balance of $200 and if I did they would honor my warranty to fix my vehicle if this problem occured again. If the balance payment was not made on that day 5/**/2014 my warranty would be null & void, I agreed. I went back to the auto repair shop, that goes by the name Cenco Transmissions located at [redacted] on May **, 2014 to pay the $200 balance. [redacted] was not there, he advised that I leave the cash with a worker named [redacted], I advised him that I did not feel comfortable leaving cash with anyone but him, he stated he was bringing his daughter to New Jersey and was not able to come to the shop that day. I paid the balance of $200 on 5/**/14 and received a signed receipt stating that my warranty would be honored. On July [redacted], 2014 my vehicle was towed to Cenco located at [redacted], via AAA and I was informed that the reason my vehicle was not working was because of the initial transmission/radiator issue I brought it in for on 5/**/14 where coolant leaked into transmission from the raidiator, causing transmission failure. My vehicle is now at Cenco Transmission although that is not stated on the shops name but it is located at The [redacted] of the shop [redacted] is not honoring the warranty, I am having diffuculty getting any information & I am not able to speak with the [redacted], they refuse to have him contact me directly. Instead I am given the run around, they place me on hold then hang up the phone line. I agreed, I would pay for a new raidiator but that is all. The service there is horrible & they do not give information as to when you are getting your vehicle back or when repairs will be complete. This establishment is very unprofessional & dishonest do not deserve to be in business or deal with the public. (###-###-####)Desired Settlement: I want my vehicle repaired at no cost to me and my warranty honored, as I am with in the time frame of my warranty. I also want the [redacted] (not the [redacted]) to contact me directly.

Review: I first brought my car to the shop on 11/*/2012 to rebuilt the transmission of the car. Car was promised back to me 3-5 days after the date of drop off (11/*/2012). I didn't received the car until about 3 weeks later. upon picking up the car, the 1-2 gear had a hard shift to it., the mechanic [redacted] told me it was normal. I return home and a few days after I took the car to another transmission shop called Capital transmission in Connecticut and was informed that the transmission need to be rebuilt soon. I went back to Cenco Transmission several times after that, the problem still remains the same. My last time I went to the Cenco Transmission was on may **, 2013 until this very day 06/**/2013. When I called the shop, the boss [redacted] and his employee keeping giving me false or no statement when the car will be ready. I contacted the Brooklyn police Department for help but they referred me to The Revdex.com. I would love to get a refund of my full payment that I can take my car else where to get fix. I cant seems to get my car out of the shop or no information about my car.Desired Settlement: To keep their word and stop giving me false statement to when my car is going to be ready. they need to refund me my full amount.

Review: I brought in my vehicle in July *, 2013 to get looked at. CENCO Transmission had rebuilt my transmission in 2012 and offered a warranty. I brough the vehicle back in under warranty and till this day 10/**/2013 the vehicle has not been serviced. I called every day and get the same story to call back. They have been giving me the run aorund ever since after I explained to them I need to get the vehicle fixed asap I have a child and need to ensure that the vehicle is safe. While they have had the vehicle they have accumulated two ticketsDesired Settlement: I just want them to fix my vehicle, pay the two tickets and get out my life. I have cried due to this issue! I just don't know what to do anymore

Review: TTo Whom It May Concern: On August **, 2012 I first had my car serviced at Cenco Transmission, [redacted] for the purpose of rebuilding a faulty transmission. The car was serviced in a timely manner and I was issued a 24-month warranty. The car functioned properly for approximately 7 months and then began to develop the same transmission issues I had experienced previously. When contacted with the issues Cenco requested we bring the car for repairs under the aforementioned warranty. I turned over the car to Cenco Transmission for a second time on May **, 2013. The car was evaluated and I was told I would receive a phone call when the transmission was fixed. After several weeks without word I became concerned and began to contact Cenco. The mechanics and owner evaded my phone calls and I could not receive any information on my car or the status of the repairs. On June [redacted] I paid visit to the automotive shop and was shocked to find my vehicle was not present and no employee knew of its location. After contacting the police the vehicle was located several streets away by the owner. After a conversation with the staff I was promised the vehicle would be ready for pick up by Wednesday June [redacted]. On Thursday June [redacted] I went to pick up the car and once again it was not present. The police were contacted and the car was located several streets away. The car was discharged to me and I was informed that no work was preformed and no new parts were installed. When researching Cenco Transmission online I found numerous other consumers with negative and unacceptable experiences such as my own. My car is still not fixed and if taken onto the roadway in its current condition would be a danger to myself and other motorists. Cenco Transmission needs to be held accountable for its actions and provide the services it markets to it customers. Their level of unprofessionalism and poor service has caused me a great deal of emotional and physical harm. I am asking you to investigate them and return the costs of the services they promised but did not deliver. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, [redacted]Desired Settlement: yes
