[redacted] came in to our shop approximately two weeks prior to get an estimate to get her belt replaced. She was given an estimate, and was scheduled for the repair. She brought her her 2001 Ford Explorer Sport trac on May 5th 2016 She told us to replace the serpentine belt and asked us to...

check out a leak. We called her back to tell the cause of the leak. We gave her a quote to fix the leaking thermostat housing. She said she would call us back to let us know if she wanted to fix the leak. She did not call back, she showed up to pick up her car. Her daughter who was with her said she hadn't approved the belt replacement and did not want to pay the bill. The daughter asked if she could just pay for the belt and not the labor. We explained to her that we had approval to replace the belt and she would need to pay the bill. She said she did not want to pay the bill. I told that we would be glad to remove the new belt and reinstall the old belt, but she declined. I don't feel that we owe her any money, because [redacted] did approve the repair, and we did offer to take the new belt off in case there was any misunderstanding. We offer shuttle service and could have even brought her car to her after we took off the new belt. She said time was a big deal to her, and we would have helped with transportation.
