Centennial Lending Group Reviews (1)

Review: Centennial Lending group, Specifically [redacted] Lied and committed fraud to steal my business from another company about a mortgage. Once she obtained my business thru lies she then continued to lie about what she could do for me and my family. She Promised me that my loan would be approved without the need for IRS Documents and they never came up at 1st attempt to close loan but they postponed stating they were missing other documents. At this time [redacted] suggested that since I was approved that I should go ahead and move into the property. Hrs before second attempt to close the loan I was told that not only did I need several more documents but I would also need the IRS Documents to close when she knew that I did not have them at the time and this was the only reason I transferred my business to her company in the [redacted] place . Now my family is stuck living in a home we don't own with no heat or running water and we have a child also and Centennial refuses to write the loan. Ive put out money to move in and am now stuck paying storage on a house that I don't own. In short, [redacted] committed fraud and lied to obtain my business and now my family is suffering and living like squatters in a home we dont own with no heat or water all because of her deceit.Desired Settlement: I want reimbursed for my moving costs and any other costs associated with the move and the costs to transfer cable, electric and for any storage fees associated with this matter up till the time my original lender can close the loan. I also want a formal letter of apology (In writing) to my family for the hardship and grief they have caused us.

To Whom It May Concern,

We received your letter dated Monday, November 4, 2013 regarding a complaint that was submitted on October 31, 2013 and assigned the ID #[redacted]. This complaint involved [redacted] , a senior loan officer at Centennial Lending Group, alleging she committed fraud to steal business from another mortgage company. The complaint goes on to say that **. [redacted] obtained the business by lying to the client. This is incorrect and **. [redacted] knows that. He is upset because he cannot qualify for a mortgage to buy the home he wants to buy.

**. [redacted] signed the mortgage application and disclosures with Centennial Lending on 10/15/2013. In this current mortgage environment, applying and settling on a mortgage typically takes 30 to 60 days when everything is in perfect order. Per **. [redacted]’s request, we put this application on a fast track. Settlement on the agreement of sale was scheduled for 10/18/2013 and that was not possible to be met due to many factors, therefore the settlement was pushed back even before Centennial Lending was involved in this purchase. We communicated many times with **. [redacted] requesting information needed to approve and close his file. As you can see in the attached documents, on October 29th an email was sent to **. [redacted] requesting the items needed to close his mortgage. We were having a great deal of trouble obtaining the outstanding items. In addition, I am attaching the email from the other mortgage company stating items were still needed at their offices before **. [redacted] decided to change companies. It is actually due to the other mortgage company needing more documentation that **. [redacted] changed to our company in hopes we would not come to the same conclusion. **. [redacted] knew that those documents were required regardless of who funded his mortgage. We did get an exception to receive three payment plan checks to the IRS instead of six and this is what **. [redacted] was referring to when stating we did not need everything regarding the payment plan which we thought had been established only to realize a plan was not agreed upon.

[redacted] and other representatives from Centennial Lending Group clearly stated what documents were needed to complete the process of his loan in numerous calls and emails. Unfortunately these documents were not provided to Centennial Lending Group. When we did get limited responses to our inquiries, it became clear that this borrower would not have the ability to repay the mortgage he was requesting at the time. Due to regulations set forth by the governmental agencies which regulate the mortgage industry we have an obligation to assure every borrower has the ability to repay.

The mortgage, and his ability to afford it, was not as clear cut as **. [redacted] explained at the onset of this process. It was uncovered that he owed a significant amount of unpaid taxes not for just the one year as initially disclosed to Centennial Lending Group. Payment arrangements disclosed as completed had merely been requested, never approved. Additionally, given the level of taxes due ultimately discovered to be due, the purported agreement was clearly not going to be accepted. A Profit and Loss Statement was requested, but we only received page one of two. The information we did receive did not make any sense. Further doubt was cast on the file by the fact that a gift from his mother on application was changed to being a gift from his fiance. This relationship could not be substantiated at the time of commitment, a fact made worse by the relationship being listed as “girlfriend” and later crossed off and changed to fiance.

As for moving into the property, no one at Centennial Lending has the ability to allow or help a borrower move into a property. We have no control of a borrower’s actions nor over the actions of the seller. It was **. [redacted]’s decision to move into a house with no water or heat. It was the seller’s decision to let him do so.

A denial was issued on 10/31/2013;,stating we could not do **. [redacted]’s loan based on insufficient income, delinquent credit obligations, unsatisfied Federal tax liens and unpaid taxes that had not yet been subject to Federal tax liens but represent unpaid liabilities of **. [redacted] for which satisfactory payment plans were not provided at the time.

We truly did our very best to work with the client to get him into the house and we are sorry he is unhappy with the outcome. Yet it was unavoidable due to circumstances outlined above.

Please let me know if I can be of any assistance if you have any addition questions we like everyone to have a great experience

with Centennial Lending Group.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I just finished reading the response from cenntenial as they posted it here. The entire message sent in reply to my complaint is a lie. I have emails and well as witnesses who can verify my initial complaint is accurate. Im getting tired of all the lies these people are telling and now they want to act like this is my fault. My complaint still stands and I have no problem forwarding emails to the Revdex.com that came directly from [redacted] and if I have to I will get the realtor involved as he was told the same lies about my loan that I was. This company Cenntenial has done nothing but lie to me and my realtor through out the entire process. I not only stand by my initial complaint at this time I also plan to sue them in small claims court as soon as my family has a home with running water and all the storage bills come in. Im embarrassed for Cenntenial and the way they do business. They are nothing but a bunch of liares and con artists and are not even good at that either.

To Whom It May Concern,

This is in reply to the Complaint and response for Complaint # [redacted] which was rejected by **. [redacted]. Unfortunately, we have had to get our attorney involved, since the time of rejection; both **. [redacted] and Centennial Lending Group’s attorney have spoken.

We understand that **. [redacted] was not satisfied with our response. We are sorry that he did not have a good experience with Centennial Lending Group and the representative he was working with at the time. We strive to have every customer have a good experience at Centennial Lending Group, yet we have to prove that each borrower has the ability to repay. We also need all of the paperwork to close each loan which was requested by the underwriter. We requested the paperwork and we did not receive what we need to close this loan. The representative of Centennial Lending Group who **. [redacted]. was working with does not have the ability to approve any mortgage. We are sorry for the way **. [redacted] feels he was treated and we hope him the best with working on getting a mortgage with another company.

We truly did our very best to work with the client to get him into the house and we are sorry he is unhappy with the outcome. Yet it was unavoidable due to circumstances outlined above.

Please let me know if I can be of any lihsi stance if you have any addition questions we like everyone to have a great experience with Centennial Lending Group.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I have attached some emails that I copied from [redacted] in regards to the allegations in the 1st response Centennial gave to the Revdex.com. I think you will find that they conflict greatly and will show just a few of the lies I was told in regards to my loan or supposed loan with Centennial. They will also show that Centennial lied in their reply to the Revdex.com and I have many more I could send. In short I am not accepting their request to withdraw my complaint because they are still lying even now. I have many more emails however I cant figure out how to attach emails to this link so I had to copy and paste the ones I have included with this message. [redacted] Is a liar and a con and because of this my family is suffering and that is the bottom line. My family is still living with no water or no heat in a home that we dont own due to [redacted] recommending and setting it up so that we could move in early on the note that our loan was already approved!! My original lender will be closing our loan this week which also shows just more lies from Centennial since they stated in previous email to Revdex.com that my loan was not approved and wouldnt be. I am not withdrawing my complaint until they satisfy my conditions in my original message to the Revdex.com. And as for them saying Im tryin to coerce them into writing my loan even now,,,, lets be clear I fired Centennial from working on my Mortgage after all the lies came to a head on or around Oct 29th. Lets be clear at this point I would not have Centennial write my loan no matter what the offer was.
