My husband and I were looking for a reasonable dentist that would fit within our budgetWe contacted DrWilliam SJ***'s office and went in for servicesHis first visit was in February I inquired about having services done in March 2018, but wanted to know what my out of pocket would be, because we have a large family and live on a budgetI did my paperworkI provided Kaylin H***, the dental assistant, that also is their insurance department representative, my insurance information and she contacted the insurance company to see what fee I would be responsible forAfter speaking with our insurance company she quoted me a priceMy husband was quoted his price in February We both received services March and DrJ*** recommended I receive crownsI asked MsKaylin H*** for a quote and she stated it would be almost $for the 1st crownI informed her that I couldn't afford it and I would call back once I'm financially stable and can afford itShe stated that was fine, to give them a call when I'm readyWe both paid our out of pocket quoted price and leftShe charged me a missed appointment fee for not calling back Today August 7, 2018, she informs me that my account was turned over to collections for a missed appointment fee and my husband's also, because she misquoted us, because she messed up doing her numbersI let her know I hadn't received a call from them regarding this balance or any changes, She proceeded to state that it's only her working on insurance and she has too many responsibilities to stop and call us about the fee change and continued to stated I hadn't received a bill, because she she combined our bills under my husband nameThese action on behalf of a financial advisor should not be allowedShe was being underhanded charging me extra fees and hiding them in his bill, to add extra charges to benefit their company
