Previously [redacted] was owned by a different owner who charged only $18.00 for rabie shots (exam included) -as well as others I was recommended including [redacted]. Previously I took pets for my family to a vet that charged 27.50(including exam) in 2012 for a rabie shot. However, State Street wasn't busy so I took the three pets of the family there (knowing the rabie shots would be $18.00 a piece. State Street saw the previous vet record from 2012 (27.50) - since I was juggling three small dogs - I asked to pay in advance so I could just leave after the shots without hassel. They had to enter all the info in the computer and refused to let me pay in advance the expected $18.00 per dog as quoted in March 2012 and I was called in for the shots - The brief exam and shots took less than 15 minutes and I went out to hand in my $54.00 and was told it was a whopping $129.00 ! I disputed the charge and was asked to take it up with the "new owner" [redacted] at 414-771-7387. I called the "new owner" at that number and was told that they just purchased [redacted] and had to raise prices because of the excessive costs of the rabies shot and 'inflation' . When I told the vet that I was quoted $18.00 for rabies and all other vets I visited previously were the same price or slightly more ($27.50) - he was snotty in his reply and told me "services were already rendered- and I should of checked (again) prior to the services and "tough luck"- I advised them that I requested to "pre pay" but denied (where I would of seen the new outrageous cost and taken my pets elsewhere- but he still refused to adjust my fee accourdingly or even open to a compromise! It was clearly a 'bait and switch' price that he felt I was stuck with because "services were already rendered"
