Review: When a young man dressed in a Centurylink shirt knocked on my door my response was, "I'm a satisfied COX customer, no thank you."

He said, "Wait, I can give you a better product for less money." I got my COX bill and he proceeded to write numbers on a sheet to validate his claim. He also said, not to worry about it as they had a 30 day money back guarantee. He proceeded to work the numbers writing down discounts, prepaid VISA cards, promotions etc. When the numbers got lower I said it wasn't a good time because I had business obligations that would keep me form enjoying the product for the next 2 months. He then said, he'd give us a 90 day money back guarantee (also written on sheet). I skeptically said ok, but I wanted a picture of that sheet, which I took.

In the next 6 weeks I had more calls to technical support than I had in the previous 6 years with COX. So I called them up, telling them I was done but could not switch now as business was keeping me at a distance. Then when I came back, it was as if none of the previous conversations had happened. I spent hours not he phone getting nowhere, and was on more than one occasion literally routed in error to the opposite side of the country. After working much more diligently than an consumer should ever have to and making threats that are not typical of me to get to the next level of support, I finally got somewhere. I was told to go to a store in Omaha and they would help me out. The next day, it was the same old thing, calling here, telling the story, then calling another place. What should have taken 15 minutes literally took 2.5 hours and ended in them having me call the agency that hired the person who walked door to door. UUGGGHHHH!!!

(If necessary, I can get into the details of the $426 they claim I owe them, which is OUTRAGEOUS considering what I was told I'd owe per month)

So I talk to [redacted] up at Center Partners and says that if I fax him the paper I took a picture of we can work this out. Well, that was literally 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard a thing. So today I faxed and called them. Not only have I received NO response, but no one is answering their phones.... HOLY SCAM!!! Please help me!!!Desired Settlement: Considering the hassle and out right rudeness I've received I feel they should be paying me a FULL refund for every penny I've given them. But I'm a practical person and although I'm willing AT A MAXIMUM to pay the $167.97 for the last month, which I the amount I was told I would be paying for that month. Thanks for your time in advance.
