Thank you for providing our team the opportunity to be aware of a complaint that has been filed against us at the Revdex.comWe value the work and dedication that the Revdex.com provides for all business and we take any complaint made against us very serious We are a brand new construction apartment community and unfortantely we have suffered from unforeseen construction delaysIn an effort to be fair and assist the residents throughout this delay we gave them two differernt options to navigate this time periodOption #delay their move in until their new home was ready and receive August and September installments freeOption #residents had the option of moving into temporary accomodations which we would make available after the initial days of the delayThe residents received August free but would pay a prorated amount for September The lease executed by both parties is the guideline for our protocol in these circumstances A construction addendum was executed with the lease to make every future tenant aware that signing a lease on a project under construction carries inherent risk of a construction delay; the rental rate at lease execution contemplated this inherent risk The construction addendum provided the property the ability to extend the move in date by days and thereafter the project would offer other accommodations but the ability for a resident to terminate their lease does not exist due to a construction delay However, the tenant has the ability to find another person who is willing to accept the tenant’s portion of the lease agreement This sitiatuon specifically, when the main portion of our building opened we offered this resident the ability to move into a temporary unit until their specific unit was completeThis was designed to lessen the burden upon the residentsWe also offered the residents the option of having the leasing office arrange movers to move them from their temporary unit into their permanent unit once it was complete Sincerely, The Center Management Team
