[redacted] was a resident at Chez Paree Apartments at [redacted] until his move out on February 29, He turned in one key on March 1, Mr [redacted] states in his complaint one of the reasons he wanted to break the lease was because he was without power for a week This is not true There was a major flooding event in the StLouis area the first week of January 2016, and Chez Paree experienced MSD backups in the lower level of the townhomes at this time, but electric power was never off.Attached please find Mr***' Final Move Out Statement, his Notice to Vacate dated February 1, 2016, the One Month Notice to Vacate signed by Mr [redacted] acknowledging the lease break penalty in the amount of $1,and a tentative appointment for a move out inspection on March 1, 2106, and pictures of the condition of Chez Vant after Mr [redacted] moved outI personally discussed terms of lease break with Mr [redacted] on February 1st, and the One Month Notice to Vacate was returned by Mr [redacted] on February 8th Mr [redacted] did not confirm or request a move out inspection on March 1stThe Final Move Out Statement was mailed out on March 18, to a forwarding address he specifiedAfter more than a month after his move out on February 29th, he had not made any effort to contact me regarding making any payments, and his file was turned over to [redacted] (***), a collection agency, on April 6, 2016, and additional charges are added for their collection fees.Mr [redacted] was well aware on February 1, he owed a significant balance for breaking a leaseAlso, he was charged for damages and condition of his apartment as documented in the attached pictures He phoned me on April 12th to discuss his balance due only after he was contacted by the collection agency Once a file has been turned over to the collection agency, all communications and payment arrangements are with this agency Mr [redacted] worked out a payment plan with [redacted] and has made several payments.We have communicated all requirements of lease break every step of the move out process with Mr***, and dispute his statement it was mishandledMr [redacted] worked out a payment arrangement with ***, and is now refusing to honor itWe respectfully request you review all the facts, and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need additional information

This is not true.  There was a major flooding event in the St. Louis area the first week of January 2016, and Chez Paree experienced MSD backups in the lower level of the townhomes at this time, but electric power was never off.Attached please find Mr. [redacted]' Final Move Out Statement, his Notice to Vacate dated February 1, 2016, the One Month Notice to Vacate signed by Mr. [redacted] acknowledging the lease break penalty in the amount of $1,700.00 and a tentative appointment for a move out inspection on March 1, 2106, and pictures of the condition of 263 Chez Vant after Mr. [redacted] moved out. I personally discussed terms of lease break with Mr. [redacted] on February 1st, and the One Month Notice to Vacate was returned by Mr. [redacted] on February 8th.   Mr. [redacted] did not confirm or request a move out inspection on March 1st. The Final Move Out Statement was mailed out on March 18, 2016 to a forwarding address he specified.
