This is in response to Ms*** statements We had no business dealings with Ms***. All of our business dealing were with Chuck *** Our contract shows an original cost of $82, With Chuck *** approval and encouragement, we made improvement of approx$10, So a total of $92,was paid to Chuck *** at their due dates We have cancelled check to prove this There were about ten trees removed not There is no foot retaining wall Just a base structure for the new addition.7.Centerline Construction and Chuck *** were the only builders ever on this job We trusted his recommendations.9.We kept a low profile during construction Friends and neighbors did notice constant delays We were told that five workers would be on the job Usually there were two workers The contract was signed March As of March 2016, the job was incomplete Weeks went by, no workers, no Chuck *** The contract shows many items paid for and not delivered Murphy bed, fireplace, speakers for stereo, sauna, wood flooring Wires and plumbing in new structure were not tied into main house We have photos of uncompleted work.One of our main objectives in bringing this to your attention is to protect others from this company They can see our contract, our cancelled checks, and our photos of work left undone People who saw the incomplete and improper work also will attest to this We trusted Chuck *** and contract shows that we paid monies on dates due We thank the Revdex.com for their assistanceSincerely, *** *** and *** ***

The original contract between Centerine Construction and Mr*** and his partner, *** ***, was for a substantial addition to their residence, with an initial cost of $65K. Since signing the contract for this work about a year ago, the *** party made upwards of one hundred
change orders. I'm not talking about changing their mind about paint colors, but very large, disruptive and time-consuming changes that added a great deal of extra cost and many more months of time to the project. It soon became a $100K job with a scope of work that would require close to a year to complete Here are a few of the customer's requests: move a leech field, which required the removal of trees and the building of a 300-foot-long stone retaining wall. This work was conducted before any construction could begin on the new addition -- we did it happily, but it took time and cost money. Yet ***-*** made no mental adjustment for the time involved in completing this work and complained about every dime, despite wanting the work and signing off on the change orders ***-*** (referred to as "the customer" henceforth) then changed the overall design of the actual build-out, AFTER my company has already acquired the building permit. The customer also changed the sizes and locations of windows, and made many, many other impactful and time-consuming requests for changes, all of which Centerline happily agreed to and provided. These changes are all documented and accounted for -- it's only the customer who cannot accept that changing their minds also involves lost time and extra cost. My company, Centerline, was the second builder on this job -- the customers made life so miserable for the initial builder, he walked off the job and won't work for them again. Other vendors we encountered while working on this project make similar complaints, notably the appliance repair fellow who dropped them as a service customer and also as a propane customer. He will no longer come to their house and calls them "crazy and horrible." Our own experience with the customer is that they intruded where they should not have, making a point of "telling" us our business every minute of every day, despite their knowing little if anything about construction. The customers also freely involved others (friends, neighbors) in finding fault with us, again when they have no expertise or even basic knowledge of the ongoing work. Again and again, they behaved entirely improperly and inappropriatelyOverall, their boundaries with other people are inappropriate in the extreme. They engage in almost non-stop abusive language and their behavior is so intrusive and disruptive that working for them was not only difficult, it was almost impossible. Despite the customer's unreasonable demands, their continuous onslaught of complaints, questions and abuse, their whimsical change orders and other outrageous behavior, Centerline had workers on this job EVERY SINGE DAY. Our workers were on site working and getting the job accomplished every day! In fact, at the time of our leaving the site, all but one building (trade) inspection had been completed and only some trim and simple installations were left to complete. The customer, as usual, could not or would not hear us when we repeatedly told them how close the job was to completion Centerline terminated work only when Mr*** *** ** ** *** *** *** **. In fact, I still have tools, equipment and building materials onsite at the customer's home / job site That said, I am happy to provide a work log which fully shows which workers were on the job, when they were there and what tasks they were engaged in, as well as the original contract, our list of change orders and revised schedule of work, and all billing and invoicing In addition to being constantly hounded, insulted and abused by the two customers on this job, and *** *** *** *** ** *** ** ***, I have also lost a great deal of money on this job. Despite this, I was still on track to complete the job to my high standards and at my own cost. The customer has made this impossible, however -- not me, and not my workers Centerline does not "owe" the customer a penny -- if anything, they owe us for the months of lost time I can never re-coup. Their continuous delays cost money -- a fact these customers cannot grasp. There's no way to put a price on the disgusting and despicable behavior both *** and *** engaged in to me and my workers throughout this job, either. We all ignored it as much as possible, but it took a toll and my workers complained daily about them. Please feel free to contact me for whatever future resolution may be necessary. I hope it is not too late to add three additional statements.17. We have gathered the names of several people who have worked for us in the past who are willing to talk to anyone concerning our treatment of them.18. Chuck [redacted] came to our house and told us that he could not finish the job without payment of money that was due when job was completed.  He said he needed it for supplies.  No additional supplies were delivered.  Again we have cancelled check for proof.19.  After  no show by Chuck [redacted] for week, we had a lawyer write a letter for him  to connect us and recommence work.  He replied  to the letter by calling and saying he would return to work the next Monday.  Chuck [redacted] never  showed up again20.Subsequent to no show at our home, we were informed that Chuck [redacted]  had started another project without completing ours.Thank you, [redacted]
