The [redacted] of Centerline promised me a full refund for a bus charter that failed. The bus broke down 90 miles into the trip.[redacted] of 350VT paid for a bus to take 56 passengers ** Washington D.C. for one day, departing Friday 4/25/14 night and returning Sunday morning, 4/27/14. 350VT's intern,[redacted], contacted [redacted] who brokered an agreement for the trip that would use Centerline Transportation. 350VT paid $5,895 for the trip ($2,000 went to [redacted], and the $3,895 went to Centerline Transportation). The agreement called for a 56-seater bus to depart Burlington, VT at 8:00pm on Friday, April 25th and make 3 additional stops (Montpelier, White River Junction, Brattleboro) to pick up passengers. The bus charter did not commence well. The bus was an hour late, and it was much smaller than anticipated, with only 49 seats. The main problem occurred around 11:15pm on 4/25/14 immediately following our third pick-up in White River Junction, where the bus broke down. 47 passengers [redacted] on board, and there were 2 more awaiting pick-up in Brattleboro. [redacted] stopped at a gas station to get a coffee; he circled the bus to check for any problems and found a significant amount of oil spilling out of the back of the bus. He informed [redacted]. that we would be stuck for a while, until either another bus could pick us up, or a mechanic could come fix the problem. [redacted] informed the passengers, and the folks waiting in Brattleboro.By 2:00am Saturday morning, it was clear that no back-up bus was coming, and no mechanics were awake to come fix our problem. [redacted] decided to cancel the trip because there wasn't enough time to make it to DC for the ceremonies starting at 11:00am. The 17 passengers [redacted] joined in White River Junction left to stay at their homes, and the remaining 30 passengers [redacted] to sleep on the bus. [redacted] told the passengers [redacted] we all had to leave the bus for safety reasons, and we could stay at a nearby hotel that would be covered by Centerline Transportation. Passengers [redacted] to pay out of pocket initially, as Centerline's president [redacted] was unreachable at that hour, and he approves such expenses. The following day Mr. [redacted] agreed to reimburse the $1,705 total hotel room expenses for 16 rooms that sheltered 30 passengers [redacted] the night.Around 6:00am Saturday morning, a mechanic was able to repair the bus to return the remaining 30 passengers ** the pick-up locations in Montpelier and Burlington. We departed White River Junction around 12:30pm Saturday, after [redacted] was rested enough to drive. Additional safety concerns were raised on short the drive from White River Junction to Burlington: 1) The door wouldn't stay locked and opened while the bus was in motion on the interstate and 2) After the stop in Montpelier, [redacted] announced to [redacted]. that he lost all oil pressure again but would continue driving to get us home. Furthermore, the return trip felt unsafe as [redacted] was witnessed driving while looking at his phone. [redacted] spoke with [redacted] several days after the failed bus trip, he reaffirmed that he would cover the cost of the hotel but wouldn't agree to a full refund of the $3,895. He wanted to negotiate and offered a half-refund citing the fuel and labor expenses of sending the bus up to Vermont. [redacted] (the [redacted] with [redacted]) has been difficult to reach, but put [redacted]. in contact with [redacted] at [redacted] to manage our refund. [redacted] informed [redacted]. that the $2,000 broker fee that [redacted] received, was in the process of being refunded and that he would work with Centerline Transportation to get 350VT the rest of the refund.Desired SettlementAny amount of refund at this point would be much appreciated. We are a very small non-profit organization. This bus expense and the staff time required to deal with this issue have incurred a huge unexpected expense on our budget. Final Consumer Response The [redacted] of Centerline Transportation has agreed to a partial refund. We believe this is fair, and I'd like to withdraw this complaint to the Revdex.com regarding an unfulfilled refund. Many thanks,[redacted]Consumer Response Centerline Transportation never came through with a partial refund. They were supposed to have paid us have the original cost of the trip in installments starting in August. I told [redacted] that I would repost our complaint with Revdex.com. Is it possible for you to reinstate our original complaint, or just I issue a new complaint. This company has been completely outrageous, and I've really tried to be reasonable in a settlement. Best,[redacted]

Centerline Transportation chartered to transport 350VT group to Washington, DC. Bus broke down, vender said they would reimburse for rooms but didn't 4/25/XXXX X/25/2014 Centerline Transportation was hired for transportation to Washington, DC for a 350.org Climate Change rally. The bus was nearly 1 hr late to begin. It was to pickup riders in Montpelier, White River Junction and Brattleborough. After picking up people in White River Junction, the bus rear end was black from oil that was being blown from the engine compartment. The driver tried to get a replacement bus but the company didn't and timing was important. The driver and the company decided we couldn't continue and would have to get a room. The driver told us we would have to pay for it but would be reimbursed. It is now Juky 1st and I received an email from the organizer saying they, Centerline Transportation wasn't going to reimburse the hotel expenses and our group hasn't the money for a lawyer to force them to pay. This type of unethical behavior need to be publicized so that others aren't treated this way.Desired SettlementA public apology in the Burlington, Montpelier, and WHite River Junction, and Brattleborough newspapers acknowledging their unethical behavior, and reimbursement for each of the riders that was inconvenienced, unable to make it to the rally and forced to get a room because their bus which was their responsibility, wasn't capable of doing the job that we had hired them to do. More importantly, trying to get out of reimbursing us after having the driver agree to.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@centerlinetransportation.comWE AT CENTERLINE SETTLED ON THE DEAL WITH THE CUSTOMER. Final Consumer Response The Centerline Bus Charter service agreed to pay back 1/2 the price of the hotel rooms in exchange for resolving the complaints with the Revdex.com. The other people agreed to this and would like to at least get something back from this shady business, so although I wouldn't if it were just me, I would like to consider this issue resolved for the groups benefit. Thank you,[redacted]

bus breakdown in WRJ; group was 350VT. Driver spent hours trying to reach his management about repairs; then told us we'd be reimbursed, motel costs. On the night of April 25/26, 2014 the bus chartered by 350VT broke down, WRJ, VT. After bus driver spend hours unsuccessfully trying to reach mgmt. about repairs or sending another bus (with no success), he authorized us to walk to nearby motel, check in with our indiv. credit cards, on the pledge that Company would reimburse that expense. Reps of 350VT have tried ever since to get the company to pay.Note that driver ordered everyone off the bus (about 1:30 am), citing safety issues. Otherwise, I and several others had said we'd sleep on the bus until resolution of mechanical problem next morning.350VT has submitted our room bills to Centerline, without success. I also have a copy of my bill.Desired SettlementI absolutely insist that the bus company stand behind its driver's promise. I expect a refund of the amount I spent at Comfort Suites, WRJ: $107.91

They ran my credit card multiple times after I already paid them. They also use [redacted] who don't speak English as their drivers. The owner [redacted] is a terrible business owner. I hired his company Centerline to transport my wedding guests and party. They screwed up in so many ways. First, they charged my credit card 3 different times after I payed them in full up front. Second, the bus drivers don't speak English at all. One of the drivers hit the hotel my guests stayed in and he kept going when the hotel manager tried to stop him. The driver also drove over a private properties front lawn and caused $3,000 in damage. Third, [redacted] charged $3,000 from my credit card for this without my permission and had nothing to do with me. The contract says nothing about future charges or bus driver damages. Desired SettlementI would still like the $1,400.00 that he additionally charged my credit card that he hasn't returned yet. I sent him multiple emails and voicemails and even had a lawyer write him an email to receive my money back but he has never returned it to me. I have bank statements and the original contract saved for documentation proof.Business Response Centerline Transportation has resolved all issues regarding Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] issued a charge back through his bank. The money was refunded through [redacted] merchant services. Please have Mr. [redacted] was refunded by us, through his financial institution, [redacted] Consumer Response My bank only funded me a portion of the amount that centerline owes me. I am still missing $1,400 from them. They charged me twice and never paid that back to me. So the issue is not resolved!

September 28, 2013 scheduled two busses to take 150 souls to Boston and back. An hour before the event, Centerline canceled the prepaid buses $2,800.I paid well over $2,800 for two buses to take 150 souls to and from Boston on September 28th. An hour before the event as guests were arriving, [redacted] of Centerline called and canceled the busses. We than had to pay an additional $5,000.00 for the replacement busses to another agency to do the transportation within the hour. I was promised my refund and was told to go to his offices well over ten times during the fall to pick up my replacement check and each time, there was an excuse. Then Mr. [redacted] paid three checks which all bounced. I was then directed several more times over the winter - even during a snow storm and he did not even seem to care as he directed me to to pick up the reimbursement that was never there for me when he asked me to go to his offices - and each time, more excuses. I paid over $7,000.00 for the September 28th busses to take 150 souls to Boston. It should only have been about $1500.00. Thanks to Mr. [redacted], I have had no reimbursement and I am out at least $7,000.00 for the transportation he promised to reimburse that day.Desired SettlementI want my money back. [redacted] bounce $2,800.00 worth of checks - to reimburse me. I want my money back!!!Business Response Ms.[redacted], and Centerline Transportation have taken this matter to court because Ms. [redacted] did not follow the booking process correctly so there fore we were not obligated to refund any money. I stopped payment on the checks to ms. [redacted] because of her not making sure she had her payment in to center line. Ms. [redacted] has gone to everyone now the Revdex.com in order to seek refund for me mistake even the AG Office. They did not feel we violated this now a complaint to Revdex.com. How far will she go to tell everyone she did not follow her contract and terms along with it.

Complaint50 min late for pick up, horrible service. I called and talked to the company, we agreed that they would refund me [redacted] have yet to receive refund.I used this company for wedding transportation on [redacted] The service was horrible. They were over 50 min late. One bus driver was not equipped to driving his own route. One of my guests had to direct him using their smart phone. The drivers English was not great and had difficulty understanding the verbal directions which caused for some hazards maneuvers,(quick lane change to get off the high way). This was completely unsafe. On the way back driver 2 was not suppose to pull into the turnaround of the inn, and just let off guest at the entrance, the driver misunderstood and drove right in and got stuck , which also blocked driver 2 from leaving the wedding venue. This delay at the end of the evening resulted in my guests not getting back to the hotel in time before the hotel lounge closed. Over all the service was flat out unacceptable Not only did we pay over [redacted] for the services we also paid the wedding venue [redacted] to stay open an additional hour. The delays caused by centerline transportation shortened the entire evening an cost us the [redacted] for an extra hour at the venue. I called and talked to [redacted] of Centerline Transportation and after months of him avoiding my calls and emails he finally agreed to refund me [redacted] This was over 7 months ago. I have yet to receive the money. I understand that Centerline transportation is no longer in business and that the company either has been bought or just renamed to [redacted]. It is my understanding that [redacted] still works at [redacted]. I have tried calling and emailing with no success. I recently tried to call their office and the phone line was disconnected. Please HELPAt this point I would like a full refund.Desired SettlementFull refund of [redacted] At minimum I would like a refund of [redacted] to cover the extra hour I paid to keep the wedding venue open.

Centerline Transportation had refused to reimburse me $107.00 for my hotel room after their bus broke down in White River Vermont on our way to D.C. 1st though minor, Centerline Transportation of Leominster Massachusetts was over an hour picking up passengers ** the first of four stops in Vermont. Upon boarding at the second stop in Montpelier I was told our 57 passenger [redacted] was now a 49 seated bus and that 7 people were going to have to give up their pre-paid seats by the time we reached our fourth stop. After picking up passengers ** the third stop the bus broke down and bus driver Tony told everyone that we would have to pay for our own motel room which was $107.00 and said that his boss would refund us within 10 business days. That was on April 25,2014 and today is July 10.2014 and still I haven't received my $107.00.Desired SettlementI would like to get paid back for the $107.00 hotel room.

Centerline Transportation, at the time owned by [redacted] failed to provide service for a charter bus on [redacted] 2014, paid in full.On [redacted] 2014 [redacted] and I agreed that a 55 passenger charter bus would pick up a group of student and community members from [redacted] at 5 am. I signed a contract confirming the pick up and drop up locations as well as price for the charter bus. After the bus never showed up due to insufficient drivers [redacted] agreed that we would receive a refund in full for their lack of service. After weeks had gone by and we still had no real evidence that a refund would take place we called [redacted] finally responded to our multiple phone calls and emails saying that he submitted a claim through his insurance company and we would be receiving the refund from them. Now months since the transaction I have heard nothing from [redacted] or the company despite several phone call and email attempts to contact him. His lack of communication and inability to provide a refund is illegal and unacceptable. I am understanding that there is a valid reason for why the driver was unable to drive us on [redacted] but because there was no back up driver and in the end we were provided no service we deserve our money back.Desired SettlementIn order to settle this claim we would like our refund back in full for the amount of the charter bus due to Centerline's lack of service. Centerline Transportation never provided us transportation for the service for which we paid so we would like our money back. The total cost of the bus was [redacted] including a nonbinding deposit of 25% for [redacted] The refund should be sent to the following...[redacted] XXXXXBusiness Response Ms [redacted] has to reply to the insurance company they have been trying to get in touch with her on several occasions please have her call me directly XXX-XXX-XXXX please to discuss options. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This is a blatant lie. I have NEVER received any email or phone call from an insurance company. Centerline Transportation has not even released the name of the the alleged insurance company. This is just another tactic the company is using to delay the return of our refunds. We want our money back and if the company is committed to solving this issue they will provide me with our refund or further information about the insurance company with contact information and policy number. I've given the above number XXX XXX XXXX around 30 phone calls over the past 2 months only to have it silenced to voice mail or completely ignored, following around 14 emails. We will not stop until we get our money! My contact info: [redacted] XXX-XXX-XXXX

Centerline Transportation failed to show up for a reserved bus trip to/from New York City. Refund check was sent to us however the check "bounced".The problem date was September 28, 2013. We have made numerous attempts to collect on this returned check received 10/4/13 but to no avail. Our Church [redacted], [redacted] visited [redacted]'s many addresses listed from all documents on file and finally personally spoke to him and he agreed to reimburse half one week and submit the remaining half the following week. Have yet to receive anything. On file we have a signed contract for shuttle services to be provided commencing from 6:30 am on 9/28/13 and ending at 7:00 pm on 9/29/13. The problem was the bus never showed. The church goers had to rent 2 vans using their own credit cards and then drive themselves to/from New York for this annual event. A down payment of $500 was provided with a Church Member's Discover card at the time of the reservation on 1/11/13. The remaining balance of $890 was paid with a check (#[redacted]) from the [redacted]h account on 9/3/13.Desired SettlementThe church would like to be reimbursed for this returned check in the of $1,390.Business Response [redacted] It was a pleasure to speak with you today.
